I heard this was a great burger place so I stopped on my way through Wichita Falls, Texas. When I went inside, I knew it was going to be an interesting experience. The place looks like it has been around for quite a while. The smell of a grill that's been used for many years is pervasive. But not in a bad way. And signage shows that this has been a beloved place for many years. I got the double meat cheeseburger and because I couldn't decide, I got a half basket of onion rings, which was 3 onion rings, and a half basket of French fries, also a root beer. I was the first person there when they opened. But within a couple of minutes, there were 2 others that from their conversation had been going there since the beginning of time. LOL. The cheeseburger was good, a little dry, but tasty. The onion rings were great. The fries were a little burnt unfortunately. The service was quite good. I'm glad I stopped just to hear about the history of the place from the 2 old-timers who were eating next to me. read more

I was in WF for the annual Wrestling tournament. I didn't want to drive to any chain restaurant like McDonald's. So I yelped hamburger. This little jam is right around the corner from the K Yeager auditorium. I got a small hamburger and small fries. This is the kind of place your grandparents would take it to. The people there were so nice And the service was quick. It's a quaint little restaurant with maybe eight booths and a bar to sit at. We had the large cheeseburger with onion rings (thick cut onions), fish sandwich and fresh cut fries. Everyone around us shared similar sentiments on the food. Came here to try something new and local. Everyone here was sweet. The inside was small, but comfortable. We came in with a group of 6 ladies. The sweet tea, was good, curly fries were alright. The burger was okay, but took a little time to come out. These ladies get busy while the drive thru keeps moving. It was a yummy experience. They have military discount with valid ID. Went through the Drive through and ordered a Medium cheeseburger with grilled onions and bacon, a side on onion rings, and a strawberry vanilla shake. Like others have said, the shake and onion rings were sooo sooo delicious! Burger needed some sort of special sauce to make itbprrfect but overall $15.72 for all this was a delicious lunch. Pat's was the perfect lunch spot for my husband & two kids on our way through Wichita Falls! I had the small burger with onion rings & my husband had the large burger with sweet potato fries, all of which were delicious & I would recommend! My kid had the kids chicken strips with fries and gravy and had plenty for a kids plate. The service was exceptional, with local, kind waitresses who were hard at work the whole time we were there! Went to Pat's for lunch. They open at 11 AM. I recommend you get there early as they get VERY busy with take out orders and folks eating in. The food was delicious and the portions were large. Their large order of fries is equal to 3 orders of McDonald's Fries. The decor is 1950's style diner with room for about 30 customers. The staff is friendly and attentive to guests. I am not sure if they accept credit cards, so take cash just in case. Their website menu lists the prices for all the food. Only downside is drinks are served in styrofoam cups and come with 1 refill. Water costs.50 cents which I thought was a bit strange. All in all, I look forward to eating at Pat's Drive In again in the future. read more

Everyone at Pat's drive inn is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere is a that of an inviting mom&pop restaurant that you'd go to for good food. Newsflash: this IS the restaurant you go to for good food! The food is made fresh, and there is care in the preparation. I have a cheeseburger with tots and a (Blue Bell) milkshake. DELICIOUS! I have recently in the past two weeks dedicated my lunches to burgers around town, Scott's drive in, Gene's tasty burger, Glass kitchen, Willie's place, back porch draft house, Parkway grill McDonald, whataburger, and Pats drive in and Ronnie's.. My findings of the most consistent, tastiest and price friendly is still Pats hands down. I end up going back to Pats to restore my faith in fresh built burgers and hand made shakes. Hands down the best burger in town! They make their burgers in different sizes so if you're only a little hungry you can get a small or medium sized burger. They use fresh beef and make their onion rings from scratch. Hand cut their fries and They make their own chili too! My personal favorite is the frisco burger. But they have a lot of other choices as well. From steak on garlic to nachos or maybe even a burger with a thick slice of ham on it, (called the "Porky") this place is the place to go for a burger in the Falls. The other reviews just don't mention much about anything but the burgers, which was a sign to me that I should get a burger. So glad I did. The small is a 1/7lb the medium is 1/4lb and the large is 1/2lb burger. I ordered the medium and added bacon. This was a most excellent burger. I read a few articles online and the ones I read were really wrong for what I tasted. Both ladies made their recommendations to me so I went with the medium Frisco cheeseburger and the small onion rings. Onion rings were on point for me. The batter was unique and not greasy at all. When you bit into them you don't take the whole onion out with the bit, very good rings. The chili burger I actually didn't want to get and make a complete mess but it was just the right amount of chili for me. Enough to taste but not so much that it ended up in my lap.
