This place is great! We popped in to check out what they were all about and we were so happy we did. The staff were super nice and helpful and they have a tremendous selection of craft beers, ciders, and even some wines. We were able to sample the selections we were interested in which was great. Very loud but it is a bar... can't knock them too hard because I found a drink I liked there. 3.9 is what I would give this place for trying to draw the late night crowed or big event type of day. Came here for the first time to watch a baseball game. They have a great selection of beers for any type of beer drinker (fruity/stouts/ipas) However, it was really the service and friendliness of the bartender that made this place. A friend and I came here Friday evening for a drink to relax and wind down from the week. We sat at the bar and each ordered different IPAs (which were good - how can you screw up a beer unless it's warm?) but... I sat for almost 15 minutes with an empty glass while the bar tender went back and forth from behind the bar to at the bar eating some chipotle that someone brought in. Eventually the 2nd bartender offered up a refill! Umm yes please! You don't come to a bear place if you aren't interest in drinking beer! So as I sat and drank my second beer the other bartender came back behind the bar. She proceeded to shove her bar rag into her yoga pants! I'm fairly certain this is not standard to any type of health code. Yuck! I finished my beer and left. We were never told that we could purchase any type of "snack" since nothing else was served here but beer. I'd love to see something served with the beer... but other than that, the service was not good enough to return. Well the beer was cold and good, so there is that. The concept seems incomplete. There is no food here so if you are thinking to go for dinner, don't. I did see some Tupperware-ish containers stacked behind the bar with some nuts and chips. Not very appealing. I passed. The most "off putting" thing about this concept for me was the menu approach. I asked for the beer menu and was told, "look at monitors on the wall or go to the website." For me, this was a bit cold for what is supposed to be a neighborhood joint. For my second beer, I went to the aforementioned website on my phone which was frustrating in its own right. Verizon does not have great reception at this location. The company website was buggy on my smartphone (iPhone 6). This may have been due to the bad reception. I ended up just getting the same beer again. Mostly because I did not feel like standing up and walking to the front of the restaurant to look up at the menu screens. On a positive note: They have growlers and the pricing is good. If you like beer for the sake of beer...this place is fine. I prefer a little service and a dash of atmosphere. They had me at the handwritten chalk sign in the front that reads "No, we don't have Budweiser, Miller, Coors, Keystone or Busch". What they have are 36 craft beers on tap (that constantly change), knowledgable bartenders who will make you beer-smarter and a very laid-back atmosphere. Their food selection is nothing to write home about, but that's fine because I didn't go there to write home about food. I went there to drink great beer and wasn't disappointed at all. After enjoying more than a few new beers, I grabbed a growler to go. They have a nice selection of growlers (varied shapes and sizes) which would make the perfect birthday present for someone (like me, if my wife ever reads this). A really casual and great place for beers on tap. It's not as big as I thought it was going to be but it has a cozy feeling. They have the electric board of the beers and also the amount they have real time. There were a lot of people during the late evening. The servers were very nice and I loved trying the flight. This is the best beer joint in the Lewisville area. They have great Mead and an awesome selection of craft brews. The best aspect of the experience was my server, Matt. Matt has a powerful passion for beer and can tell you everything about every beer on tap there. He knows all details about the breweries and how they create unique tastes. Wonderful guy and he was excited to share his knowledge. The only food I've had there is the pretzel. It's a great pretzel and goes well with the beer.
