My husband ordered the grilled pork with vermicelli and I ordered the salt and pepper ribs. The food was so good my husband ate his entire meal in one sitting! My salt and pepper ribs were so flavorful with the fresh basil and spices. The garlic noodles were the perfect accompaniment. I took home half of my meal and ended up having two more small meals just so I could savor the food! The iced coffee was perfection! It's so conveniently located for us and I would definitely recommend making the trek to our neck of the woods. You won't be disappointed. Mango chamoy smoothie (2.5/5) - more like a slushy than a smoothie. Overall, the food was just average. Nothing terrible, but nothing I'd go out of my way to get again. We were able to read a little bit of the history of the business and how far the owner has come to get to this point and it just makes this place that much better. I really like the concept of this place. Execution not so much. If you are looking for good Vietnamese food, this probably isn't the place. However if you are looking for a fun environment with unique bites maybe this is for you. The interior is gorgeous. I love love the decor and I couldn't stop looking at everything and reading their signs. There's a sign in the front that talks about Vietnamese people and their love language which I adore and it really resonated with me. I would definitely come back here for happy hour (3-6pm) for drinks and maybe a light snack. I got the popcorn chicken, the beef pho and the bun thit noung. The popcorn chicken was the best thing we tried. The sauce was solid but the chicken was like cubed chicken breast so it was a bit dry. The bun thit noung had good flavor on the meat but the fish sauce was so so bad imo (coming from a Vietnamese person but my white boyfriend liked it). It was too salty... I feel like it's supposed to be a sweeter fish sauce. The pho was okay... it was missing a lot of dimension in the flavor but not bad. I thought 18$ for pho is criminal but there was a lot of food. Service was pretty good, they were super attentive (maybe a smidge too much) and even packed our leftovers for us.
