About: Red Phone Booth, founded in Atlanta in 2020 by Stephen de Haan in partnership with actor and whiskey and cigar enthusiast Michael Cudlitz , opened its first Texas location in The Colony, Dallas, in 2023, celebrating three years since its inception. The venue is designed to resemble a Prohibition-era speakeasy, with an entrance accessible through a rotary phone inside a red telephone booth (which actually works!). Our tour was led by Jamie, who shared his extensive knowledge as he guided us through the Prohibition Era alongside our concierge, Landon. The speakeasy features stunning floors made of 120-year-old Italian wood, beautifully decorated with art, books, and a selection of premium entertainment and spirits. Stumbled across this place last night before we headed to Maverick's Dance Hall. We were looking for a solid pre-dancing cocktail and the Red Phone Booth delivered with a very respectable Sazerac and a very tasty Modified Whiskey Sour. Both were phenomenal. The place itself is dimly lit and has a nice bar with comfy couches and lounge chairs but if you're not into cigars, then you might want to go elsewhere. We didn't realize it was a cigar lounge but the amazing drinks and cozy seats more than made up for it. We'll be back! read more

Having a code to get into the restaurant from the red phone booth is very fun and cute. I did have to call a couple times in order for them to answer the door. The ambience and interior inside is beautiful and the ceilings were fantastic. The drink list was a bit confusing on what was in each drink, but the bartender was able to come over and help us out. We ordered a tequila drink and a rum drink, but they were nothing special. I assumed at a place like this with the atmosphere and more extensive menu that the drinks would be more unique. The hummus we ordered was very dry and we were unable to pick it up with the bread and had to use our forks. It was a pretty bland hummus, but the bread that it came with was seasoned well, and it was the highlight of that appetizer. The polpette was good, but a more average meatball that needed more sauce. The crust on the pizzas was great, but both pizzas were very oily, and we needed to dab them off with napkins. The meat on the tenderloin sliders was very thin and overcooked and the flavor was OK. It came with a horseradish sauce, but it was a pretty sweet Sauce. We ended our meal with a tiramisu that was very dry and not fresh. Overall, I would not specifically come back for the food or drinks, but the atmosphere is wonderful inside. Our server was helpful and friendly to us. It took a while for our food to come out and we got two appetizers brought out to us, and our third appetizer was brought out after the entrées had already been out. To access this place, you walk into a phone booth and enter a secret passcode to get in, which makes the experience feel exclusive and fun. When you walk inside, the space is dimly lit with a moody, upscale vibe. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly hospitable. I tried a cigar, which was a cool and different experience for me. I ordered a pizza topped with fresh, seasoned cooked tomatoes. This was a very sexy speakeasy with such a great ambience and vibe. Me and my sister decided to go and we got the cheese pizza and the pepperoni pizza. Both were a 10 out of 10. To start we got a charcuterie board and oh my gosh, it probably was the best charcuterie board that I've ever had in my life. Nice unique experience ar Red Phone Booth!! This was my first time going to a speakeasy and we got the password from the Thai restaurant right across the path after eating dinner there. The vibe was pretty nice and relaxed but since I don't smoke cigars the smell was a little strong for me personally. I got the Brown Derby Cocktail and it was crazy good! I thought this was a fun, interesting and classy establishment. Great entry man last night, strong drinks. The drinks aren't absurdly expensive and they are double shot pours, which I think is reasonable. Smoking indoors is allowed (great ventilation), really comfortable and private seating.... Nice place!! I will say our server, while really sweet, could've been a bit more "on" or "in character" for a bar like this (speaking as someone who used to serve at high end restaurants). My friend canceled that on me so my husband decided to take me out on a date and this is the place that I ended up choosing and I'm glad I did because this place did not disappoint. The drinks are so good they don't disappoint their cocktail. Menus are on the classic side and I love that it taste like they use real fruit juice instead of the concentrated ones. Our server was wonderful and accommodating to our party of five. While we waited for our drinks and food she gave us a tour of the place and the many rooms that are available to members and their guest. You must have the code to get in! A great speakeasy hidden in plain sight. It's a cigar lounge that has small bites and nice drinks--great place to socialize with friends on an evening after dinner. I love how the bartenders keep with the theme in their uniforms/attire. They have memberships but you don't need one to get in but there is a capacity limit. The dress code is classy casual - collared shirts for men or a sportcoat if no collar, no cargo pants and for women - no undergarments showing. Our waiter was very nice and gave good drink recommendations. There is cigar smoke but not too overwhelming but would recommend this be your last top because the scent will be left in your clothes. While snapping photos with my phone, I stumbled upon a red phone booth, and as I approached to snap a photo, a gentleman and young lady asked if I was going in. "Going in ", I say. Found this place by accident, walked up to the door, and saw that it had a doorbell camera. Rang the bell, and an employee walked out and asked it we knew the password. I told him no and didn't know where to get it from he said that they stopped letting none members in at 12am it was a little past 12. We told him we were from out of town and he gave us a break but told us that we needed collared shirt all of us had polos except 1 of the guys he went in and got a jacket for him then came back out asked us to take our caps off and I said ok. We walked in, and the place was really nice and chill it had a cigar room where you could buy cigars. I've smoked a couple of authentic Cuban cigars before, but I'm not an aficionado, so I asked the guy running the cigar room for some help. He gave me a couple of options, and I settled on a Nuance cigar it was really smooth, and the leaf tasted like chocolate. We went to the members area since it was kinda of dead and smoked our cigars and ordered a drink. The prices are a little high but well worth the experience. The ventilation was top-notch. To gain access, you must enter the restored, antique, London "red phone booth," located in front of the establishment and dial the code on the rotary phone. No code, no entry. The memberships range between $400 - $5,000 a year. After my first visit, I fell in love with this establishment and plan on purchasing a membership. The staff was friendly, the vibe was classy and relaxed. It's the perfect spot for a date night, drinks with the girls or even a relaxing night out alone. Ok, so be forewarned that yes this is a speakeasy, but they are also a fully catering cigar lounge with a humidor room. So if smoke bothers you, even with their state of the art hospital grade ventilation system, there is evidence that smoking is allowed. There are a few membership options available for frequent patrons, so check their website for details if exclusivity is what you're into. There are a few seating options available, with one designated area which can accommodate a private event. We got a small tour of the place and visited on a day when there was only one other couple (who were not smoking). So I can't say whether the ventilation system was truly being tested on that day. In true speakeasy fashion, the bartender was great and the drinks did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and the seating although not the most comfortable created a cozy ambiance. There are a few drop down screens on a few walls, for occasional featured events, but this is by no means a sporting events location. There is a dress code, so check the website for that as well as details on the current password. It is likely I will visit again while in the grandscape area and there are indeed some perks to being a member.... Such as designated discount days/times on drinks as well as one membership that comes with automatic access through an app, during business hours. If you're picky about your liquor and/or a cocktails connoisseur, then stop by this place and see for yourself. read more

Visited this place because I saw it on TikTok. I was surprised when we got inside because nobody on TikTok mentioned that it's also a cigar lounge. Wished they separate the space into a smoking/ non-smoking section so people who don't smoke like us can enjoy the atmosphere and the drink more. Since we don't enjoy the cigar smells, we hurriedly drank our cocktails and left. I remembered clearly tipped 22% but they charged me 25% instead... So yeah, make sure you're beware of this and get a paper receipt or take a photo when you paid to make sure you don't end up like me. read more

Loved the concept. It was a Monday night so not busy at all which probably led to the server being overly attentive. The drinks were good not great and the cigars we picked were middle of the road at best. The server had zero humidor knowledge so we just got the house sticks because we like to try the house brand at every lounge we go to. I ended up with a sweet tipped one which was ok but I spent too much time fighting it to enjoy it. Overall good time and we'll be back to try it again soon. read more

I frequently check out some of the happenings around Dallas on Instagram and ran upon a promo post about this new prohibition style bar / cigar room that had opened in Dallas... but what I didn't realize is that I would end up in the area that same evening and I would have an opportunity to check it out during their grand opening! I wasn't really sure what to expect or how to get in upon arriving, and getting your hands on a code is crazy hard (the members that passed by while we were in a lengthy line absolutely were not interested in helping out, I asked ). So I would not show up expecting it to be a simple google search like some of the other prohibition style places in the metro (but maybe that will change since this was the grand opening of this chain's location). The dress code is also strict so be sure you're in the proper attire before arrival! The atmosphere was very posh, they offer mouthwash and floss picks in the spacious bathroom, the drinks were phenomenal, and our server Anna was super sweet too! The only atmospheric downside is that the state of the art fan system does not eliminate the smoke completely, and you should prepare for smelling like cigars once you leave and plan your clothing choices accordingly. I don't often leave reviews but after the amazing time my guests and I had Sunday, I felt it necessary to write one... I became a member around a year ago as I am a big fan of speakeasy's and just love the ambiance of this place. From the first day I joined the service has been incredible. The manager introduced himself (Ron) the day I joined and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He immediately gave me his cell phone number and told me that anytime we wanted to call ahead, that I should reach out. I was blown away with the personal touch and how incredible the experience was. Fast forward to this past Sunday, I decided to take the manager Ron up on his offer and I sent him a text. To my surprise he responded immediately and I requested to book a table ahead and bring guests at 2pm. I hadn't realized, but on Sunday the venue doesn't open until 3pm. His response? I'll open early for you, we got you and will take care of everything. While we were there we smoked cigars from their humidor (great selection at very reasonable prices) and one of my guests brought their own. We ate charcuterie boards, pizza (amazing food) and enjoyed the Euro2024 on their large screens in the "Mafia Room" (I kid you not that is what it is called and it is awesome!) All the staff were incredibly helpful and polite (Saffron thank you!) I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are looking for an exclusive experience, great food, great ambiance and the ability to smoke a cigar this is it. If you are a none smoker don't worry as they have installed a hospital grade HVAC system that immediately removes the smoke as if nobody was smoking at all... Members only cigar lounge. This is a spot that you can only come if you are a member or you are invited by a member to attend. I am not a member, but I was invited. The ambience is laid-back and chill. There is no music so it's a great opportunity to socialize and catch up with old friends. There is cigar smoking, hors d'oeuvres and alcohol. I don't do cigars but the drinks here are really good. Be mindful that you will smell like smoke so you will have to go home and wash your hair And hang your clothes outside but other than that this is a really cool spot.
