Small place tucked into a strip mall. Combination Columbian food/ice cream parlor. Super clean. One step inside and you instantly smell the different spices of the food. Smelled delicious but we were there for ice cream. Huge selection of flavors. Hand scooped, not rock hard, not mushy, just right in the middle. We got cotton candy, cappuccino crunch, salty caramel something, and Superman. Huge scoops. All delicious. Super friendly. Will definitely go back for food AND ice cream. read more

It is 6:48pm. According to Yelp, they are open today till 8pm. I just came from so far away to visit a friend here and go for ice cream. Despite the shop being full of workers behind the counter, the door is locked. They ALL looked at me and shook their heads no. WTF. I was so excited to go here. Shame on them. What a pitiful place. With so many workers unwilling to work and deny us business for god knows what reason, I give this place one star, and call it garbage. Take that. read more

Tucked away in this grocery store-anchored strip mall is a local gem. GIANT ice cream sundaes for under $5?! Sign me up! This place is a great neighborhood spot. They have dozens of flavors of Hershey's Ice Cream available for scooping, and the standard size scoops are generous. The staff working that day were friendly, helpful, and speedy, allowing us to sample as many flavors as we wanted, before quickly assembling a double scoop cup and a double scoop Reese's peanut butter cup sundae, which they allowed us to have with any flavor ice cream of our choice, instead of just the standard chocolate called for on the menu. There are a couple of small tables inside the store, which has a cute, traditional scoop shop feel. It looks like they've added to the menu considerably beyond ice cream, now serving up everything from hot soups, hotdogs, panini sandwiches, and salads, which always makes me concerned. If your menu is too diverse, it makes me concerned you do none of it well. But I can vouch for the ice cream being delicious. We will definitely be back again when visiting family in this area. read more

Hubby and I arrived on Saturday afternoon and asked what we could get made into a shake and he said any ice cream. The straws are nice and large and shakes were thick. The cost is a little bit much we thought but it's in our neighborhood and we like supporting our community. We ordered a Cuban panini that hubby and I shared and boy was it good and made up for the extra cost in milk shakes. This is a really cute place and friendly staff. We will be back!! I have been here several times, I always order over the phone and pick it up in about 20 minutes. Service here is always great. And the food is well priced and delicious. Recently the prices went up, but let's be real here they need to make a living and by charging an extra few cents per item allows them to stay open. The food is nothing too special, hotdogs and tots and easy to prepare items but they are still very good. The ice cream here wonderful as well with many flavors to choose from and toppings to add. The staff is ALWAYS friendly! I love that about this place. I don't think this restaurant gets enough views due to its location but I'd consider it a hidden gem! The food is above average with great prices, better than your local McDonalds. The little cafe style shop has lots of different choices, from burgers and hotdogs to pulled pork and quesadillas. Service was comfortable with no complaints, and the Ice Cream is at a preferred price while being premium. Overall, I love coming in when in town and I love the Oreo Milkshakes. Hit or miss. Don't order the breaded wings, they use a different brand. My girlfriend got wings non breaded and it was delicious, I was absolutely jealous. But my issue is I should be just as satisfied with my food as well. It's very clear that there is a huge food quality difference. And when I called to ask the only thing anyone could tell me was "sorry" my food was awful, I couldn't even go more than afew bites in. And it's just crazy because I literally got a whole other order of wings that was absolutely delicious. If you are a gambler this is the place for you. They serve Hershey brand ice cream, which is a super premium brand. In my opinion a cut above what is served at 31 Flavors. The scoops are GIGANTIC, at least 1 1/2 times the scoop served in a typical ice cream parlor. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and the quantity. Service has always been efficient and polite. They also have a large menu of sandwiches, pressed sandwiches, and they also serve Nathan's Hot Dogs, and you can get them Chicago style, very authentic. I haven't tried any of the food, but it all looks great. Very clean locally owned business serving excellent quality for a fair price. read more

My thoughts...Great location, a lot of choices, great hours. However, 1 scoop of strawberry ice cream (approx 6 oz), is $3.25. My partner had a Medium milkshake (32 .oz), which he saw her put in 4 scoops of cookies and cream ice cream, and it was $5.00? I'm a little confused on the prices but next time I will not have just a scoop of ice cream. I will get the 32 oz milkshake for better value. I went out to the car to wait while they waited for the ice cream. If I would have been inside, I would have not purchased the scoop. This place is a great idea but I would have rather walked around the corner to Winn Dixie and purchased a half gallon of ice cream instead. I am glad it has graced our neighborhood, it will be great for the kids after school or to walk to in the summer. read more

Have always had a good experience at this place but after tonight, I will not be back. The girl behind the counter screwed up my ice cream order and shoved a scoop of Rocky Road with Chocolate Moose Tracks into one cup. Upon enlightening them of their error, the girl shoots me a dirty look as if I'm about to inconvenience her and make her correct the order. To their credit, another girl did offer to fix it but I declined as I was already disgusted and just wanted them to finish my daughter's order of chicken tenders and get out of there. Fast forward twenty minutes later and still no tenders. I walk up and ask same girl if my order was ready and her response was, "Should be." Should be??? Well then how about you go back and get it. Sure enough she walks out with it in hand. How long was it going to sit there ready?? When I got home with the ice cream, come to find out these were the smallest scoops of ice cream I've ever been served at What's The Scoop. Terrible experience all around. read more

Called to get directions and they were very friendly and inviting "(see you soon"). Tucked away on the side of Winn Dixie next to Spin City laundry. Tampa has great restaurants. Since moving 3 1/2 years ago to Homosassa and several month in Crystal River, we have encountered the worst resturants and bizzare buisness hours, so finding a gem like this one is rare. What's the scoop, I'm not one who usually writes reviews, but they truly deserve it. Love, love, their pork fritter with gravy. I'm fasinated with company names and logo. How cute is the their name what's the scoop and the question mark has a cherry. Perfect. I do understand how the owner could be concerned that people think they just sell ice cream. Ice cream was ok. Good selection. Very expensive. I paid $10.00 and all I got was 2 scoops of chocolate with about 2 tablespoons of hot fudge and my daughter got 2 scoops of Superman with sprinkles. I most likely won't return unless I see it becomes more reasonably priced or portions become larger. There was really nothing special about this ice cream for me to spend that kind of money.
