I tend to be picky about Thai places. I visited the restaurant twice and had very positive experiences both times. The service is very good and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Definitely a nice place to enjoy a good meal. I tried both a curry dish and the fancy chicken with cashews. Both were excellent. If you go during lunch, your entree comes with a soup and a spring roll. All in all great experience and I'd come again. read more

We had the lunch portion of both Pad Thai Chicken and Drunken Noodles chicken. Portions were good for lunch and they were seasoned OK. They did not put any pepper or chili in it but we didn't ask for that so maybe it's on us. Typically the Thai places ask from 1-5 how spicy you want it but there guys didn't. This was the first time in 8 years I've had what I would consider a bad meal from this restaurant. I got sweet-and-sour chicken that came with a spring roll for lunch to go .when I got at home the lid for the sweet-and-sour sauce( for the spring roll) wasn't on nor did it fit on the cup, so the sauce was everywhere. The rice had a lot of really solid lumps in it .the sweet-and-sour chicken had almost 0 flavor. This is the same meal I've been getting there for 8 years, but I haven't been there in several months. Excellent service and fresh tasting ingredients in the food down to the fresh herbs on top of some dishes. The steamed dumplings were hand made and you can tell. What a shame! We used to love going to this place. We now know why the place was empty at 6pm on a Saturday. There is little to no service. The look of the restaurant has changed. They've removed all the blinds that gave it that nice cozy dark appearance. No welcome, hello, no will be right with you nothing. Roughly 10 minutes after we sat down a 12ish year old child came to get our beverage orders. Thinking it was just their kid bringing our beverages we waited for our server which never came. All four of us were looking around, trying to figure out if somebody was gonna come to the table as this lady kept going by busing tables and not paying any attention to us whatsoever. After roughly 10 more minutes this very nice but very illegal young kid that's roughly 12 maybe 13 years old comes back and says hey do you want some appetizers? Well, we were ready to order by that point so we went ahead and placed our orders. Food wise, some stuff was lukewarm. Some stuff was piping hot and some items were cold and hot Both. My personal dish was off. I don't know exactly what made it off, but it just didn't taste like it used to. I usually always order the same thing. No heat no yummy taste just blah. All the dishes on the table were never taken so we had to shift them to the end of the table as like a hint hey hey, come and get these dirty dishes. Then when it came to the point of paying nobody ever came back I swear we could have walked out of that restaurant and nobody would've cared or even noticed. We asked this very, not friendly female, as she was ignoring us and walking by the table if we could get our check and she says "K" In a snippy tone, but yet still didn't bring our check and went on her way to wait on another table. Behind the counter were kids, but finally one of us got up, went to the counter and very firmly said hey we want our check which finally prompted the nice but very illegal young kid to come back to the table and give us a check. I am not the type to leave negative reviews like this, but what the hell has happened to this place? Being mistreated is an understatement. It's been many many years since I waited tables, but I most certainly could handle more than two tables at one time. The old owners used to bust ass and that place was packed. Now I know why it's so empty. No door dashers. No takeout customers all at 6pm on a Saturday That restaurant may had five different tables in the restaurant. There's no way that even one person could have not handled that but here we are. I'm leaving a review to save somebody else from going through the same thing we went through. I would 100% love to eat here again! My parents wanted to have dinner here and I am super excited that they've found such an Amazing Thai restaurant! The service was very fast, my mom was kinda shocked how quick the food was prepared. She had Shrimp Pad Thai. Dad had fried rice and spring rolls for appetizers. I had Yellow Curry. Wished I would've swapped pineapple for potatoes but it actually added sweetness to the dish. Dad tried my Thai tea, first time and he liked it. My meal came with a cup of Jasmin rice, and I had ordered chicken Satay for appetizer, and we all needed to go cups. The ambiance was casual. Well, we have been coming here for years , since Paula owned it, and it has been great, well tonight was horrible. I ordered the same dish ginger beef, well it was like rubber as was my friend who ordered the same. The waitress was totally unconcerned , took it back and could care less if I wanted something else. I said I would like something else and I ordered the dumplings, which were no better than the ginger beef. I was extremely disappointed not only in the food but her attitude as well. We tried Bangkok Thai for take out tonight and I was impressed. We order chicken fried rice and Siam Bamboo shoots ( Thai medium) plus Tom Yum chicken. It is all cooked to order so expect to wait. It was delicious. Thai food is influenced by the family cooking it so even if you have the same named food elsewhere it may differ slightly from restaurant to restaurant. Such is the case here. The Tom Yum was different then what we're used too but terrific in its own right. We will be back... again and again. read more

Yet another spectacular meal at this restaurant. We drive from Ocala to enjoy this restaurant's SPECTACULAR Thai food. Today we shared the Tom kah and Tom yum soups, perfectly executed as usual. The spicy beef salad which was a huge portion and could have been a whole meal. The pad thai and the Chrissy grouper special were yummy, large portions and very tasty. The star of the show was the salt and pepper frog legs. They are crispy, moist and ohh sooooooooo yummy. We order them every time without fail. Come enjoy this very reasonable priced Thai food. The food is not as tasty, and often seems to be precooked, reheated, and mushy. The appetizers have that "frozen" taste to them. We went in for dinner with some friends, there were four of us, it was not busy, however that was not what our waiter kept saying. This waiter we were convinced was on something. I love the spring rolls and the drunken noodle (chicken) dish that I got. I also loved that they allowed us to adjust the spiciness level of the foods. The restaurant had a good amount of seating space and cool decorations. The service was kind of slow as it seemed that they only had one person taking orders and another person helping with running the food/drinks. It was a very busy restaurant but seems that they might just have been short staffed that day. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some good Thai food in the area! read more

Visiting here out of town, we walked in with a bit low expectation. Walking in around 6:30pm on Saturday, place was packed. I was encouraged by a nice lady who also was waiting for a table. We got seated in about ten minutes. Like the lady said wait time wasn't that long. Two staffs were running the hall and did an excellent job. However kitchen cook was beyond excellent service since food came out so fast. Considering how busy it was, we were in and out in one hour. Food was excellent. All the dishes we had was excellent. Pakimao, Bangkok rolls, ginger grouper, black pepper tofu and green curry were all tasty. I would recommend to order all different kinds of dishes and share with group of people. read more

This was our favorite restaurant in the Beverly Hills area for years. About a year ago or so the restaurant was sold to new owners. Unfortunately, the new chef is not quite as talented as the one they at the earlier restaurant. The selection is way down and prices are significantly higher. You used to be able to order things like roasted duck with bamboo shoots and whole snapper, available in two distinct preparations. They are now gone from the menu. Bangkok Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant and frankly, I love how they've kept their prices low while still churning out excellent, well prepared meals. The food is amazing, the service is exceptional with Thomas as our waiter (and he is spot on) and the beautiful Gwen making sure that the patrons are happy by checking in on each table. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion and I love their lunch specials. Good food with phenomenal pricing and stellar service. We have loved this place and the couple that owned it for a few years now. So immediately we could tell something had changed. A lot. The ambiance not the same . They made it bright and windows no blinds. I looked it up and started reading the reviews from the past 6 months under new Ownership. Ordered 2 cold Thai Teas. Never get a belly ache but my Mom did immediately. We ordered an app , crab Rangoon. Meh... Then "Drunken Chicken"but not spicy as advertised.,My Mom has had that dish in there not spicy at least 20 times So we get it, it burned my tastebuds because of the "heat hot " not " flavor hot. I brought it to the tall guy that's been a permanent fixture here and after walking the dish over to him and our server he explained, as we know, it's spicy. We can't do it any other way. Well the server just said we could before when we asked him at the table? And soup has always come with our meal and we had to ask and were given soup reluctantly I felt. I decided I wasn't going to even order anything and eat the leftover pad Thai. Bummed because even asking about the new ownership. We were treated as if we came and I inconvenienced the closing between lunch and dinner. I'm in this business and I didn't see Aone Sever , one "anyone " , wash their hands!!! So.... The plaza where this place is located appears a bit sketch however the food and service were awesome!! We were greeted immediately and seated. Waiter brought over menus and took our drink orders. Soon he came back for our lunch orders and man the food was out in no time! The entrees were served with chicken rice soup and a spring roll. I ordered the black pepper chicken with no rice, extra veggies. This dish was soo full of flavor!! I literally wanted to lock the plate clean but held myself back in fear of embarrassing the rest of my party lol Daughter got the fried rice which of course I had to sample so I could leave a review. Love Thai fried rice! Not sure what the ingredient is that makes it so fragrant and flavorful. This didn't miss any mark! It was fabulous.
