Having an inhouse estimate was appreciated; as many companies will not. 209 items were picked up in w. phx and delivered to a local storage when 203 items were delivered in central S Carolina: . some items were stored below the truck; as the other two loads were over their estimate . rushed to sign off in what was delivered: .. before we could check the status of the items they packed .. we could check that all items were delivered. because we signed off on the delivery, they are released of liability I would GREATLY appreciate their finding at least some of the items they lost ! I used them to move from California to Tennessee. They were to take my furnishings, store them and then ship them to my new address. Numerous things were broken and things that should have been boxed or wrapped in packing blankets. The people they subbed out to unpacked the van were lazy, sloppy and tracked dirt on the carpets. They unpacked so quickly we didn't have time to check their inventory or notice the antique dining chair that was propped against the wall with the broken leg tucked in place. read more

Our moving experience from CA to MT was horrible!! The driver was so rude & there was so much damage to our irreplaceable expensive furniture! He didn't offer any paperwork for inventory control & we still don't know if we received everything because we weren't given proper chance to check off numbered boxes! The movers were told what rooms to refer to as all boxes were labeled, but we found many many boxes in the wrong rooms! He didn't care at all! No professional skills nor did he have people skills! When we asked why there was so much damage & crushed boxes, he threatened abuse & said he would leave & take 1/3 of our property still in the van!! I called the police & I feel it helped to get him to rethink his threats & continue to unload our household property! We have moved many (9) times in 35 years together both long distance & shorter distances. We have NEVER experienced such poor service & rudeness! And moving is very expensive! I feel this driver should be suspended from work to show him he can't get away with such horrible behavior! Wheaton Van Lines has not responded this past week to my numerous calls & follow up messages!! After paying for insurance for our move, upon delivery we discovered our bookcase was busted. We immediately showed it to the driver who told us to take pictures of it and file the claim which we did. he did not complete the paperwork on his end correctly and our claim was denied. we Refuted the denied claim and were told we should have updated the inventory ourselves... on the delivery driver's computer. BEWARE! THEY RUINED OVER $4,000 WORTH OF FURNITURE! Looks at the photos of my 1yr old mattress, it looks like an operating table. It's DISGUSTING! I've been trying to get these items replaced for 3 weeks, but they only offered to settle for $138.00. (Their default policy is 60 cents per pound if you don't opt into insurance, which wasn't explained). So they accept responsibility for the damage, but they don't make it right. In addition, the response from TOM SMITH (See photo) is appalling. He should be ashamed. They did not perform the advertised and agreed upon services when I paid them nearly $5,000 for white-glove service. This is FRAUD & GROSS NEGLIGENCE. SPECIFICS I hired their subsidiary, Bekins, for an interstate move that included packing, wrapping furniture for protection, and storing it for 2 weeks before delivery while I waited to get possession of my new home. They did NOT wrap several pieces of furniture and my mattress as advertised and agreed upon. In addition, they did NOT place my items in safe storage for 2 weeks as paid for, instead letting them ride around in a truck for 2 weeks while other deliveries were made. I am not sure even where to start with our move experience. We have moved frequently (usually about every 3 years), and this is by far the worst move experience we have ever gone through. We moved across country and hired All Reasons to manage our move. All Reasons used Wheaton as the cross-country mover. They were referred to us by an acquaintance and were by far the most expensive of our options, but we were concerned about the quality of our move and so followed the old adage that "you get what you pay for." Unfortunately, that is not how this experience worked out at all. I will have to abbreviate a bit to not exceed the character limit for this post. - Poor communications: The person I was directed to contact with questions could never provide answers and had to check with someone else. Emails were either not responded to at all or would take days to receive a response. Note: We had to move in a short period of time due to selling our house very quickly, so we didn't have the luxury of waiting days for responses. - Grossly over-estimated: Weight was estimated at 12,000 lbs., but was only 9,000 lbs., and storage was estimated at 11 vaults when it took only 7 vaults. - Delivery window of July 1-July 10 was provided: On July 9 when we had not received a specific delivery date, we contacted them and were told they "hoped" to deliver to us by July 13. On July 15, they contacted us again to say that they were projecting delivery on July 17. On July 16, they contacted us again to let us know they were charging our credit card. No less than an hour after that call, we received a call from Wheaton (the company they used to complete our cross-country move) to inform us that the moving truck/trailer had been broken into and that some of our items "may" have been stolen. The break-in occurred while the truck was still in CA so it had occurred days earlier, but they did not inform us until the day before delivery. - Many items stolen and/or damaged: Irreplicable family heirlooms were stolen. A brand-new office desk and dining room chairs were damaged even though they wrapped by All Reasons. Our "high value" items/boxes were clearly marked and All Reasons assured us that they would receive special care and tracking. However, most of those items was also stolen and the few that were not stolen were just mixed in with all of the other boxes. - Bed assembly: We paid extra to have our bed assembled on the day of delivery. The assemblers did not come until the next day and then did not put the bed together properly. Also, parts were missing even though All Reasons disassembled the bed and packaged the parts. We had to pay for Sleep Number to come out to correctly assemble the bed. When we contacted All Reasons about the situation, all they had to say was "it was unfortunate." We only ever heard from the lower-tier employee who was the same one who couldn't answer any of our questions when preparing for the move. Neither the project manager, the owner, or anyone at a higher level in the company bothered to follow-up and apologize for what had occurred and what we had been through. We have since been working with Wheaton to deal with the claim which has been an entire process in and of itself. We still do not know what additional items might be missing. This was a very disappointing experience, and it is "unfortunate" that we chose poorly in picking these companies to work with. We definitely did not get what we paid for. My moving experience with Wheaton World Wide Moving still haunts me. The gentleman who came to my home to provide an estimate was charming, insightful and persuasive. Based on the information provided and the quote given I chose this company and continue to regret it. I had one very expensive item that was my pride & joy. I repeatedly reminded the team to take care with this item. Literally, this was the only item that fell off the back of the truck and got damaged. Oh, mind you, other items were damaged but that was the specific item I asked to handle with care. Being new to a long distance move I did not know that Wheaton used a local moving company to unload at the final destination. Obviously I did not vet this company so the two men that showed up were less than savory characters that made me uncomfortable. I can only offer my advice .... while Wheaton may offer the best estimate, if you can afford a company that has certified packing experts then go with them. I learned my lesson the hard way. This is a long awaited review for Wheaton Moving. In 2006, my family and I used Wheaton to move from Agoura Hills, CA to Darby, MT. Not only were a multitude of household items and furniture heavily damaged, but we also purchased $1,000 of specialty alcohol to have moved with our things to Montana and ALL of it was stolen. We purchased $1,000 of "insurance" for our move through the Wheaton company but they refused any sort of claim; why pay for the insurance in the first place? We took photos of everything before moving and had more than enough proof! We let it go because we didn't have time to file a lawsuit, but we should have at least reported this company to the Better Business Bureau at the time. Please avoid this company like the plague. Wheaton subbed out our job to a local company. They damaged our furniture and possessions in our presence during the move and they acknowledged the issue. Wheaton then denied liability in spite of dated photos provided and claims filed in accordance with their contract and direction from our move coordinator. Our recent interstate move with Wheaton World Wide Moving/NL Wilson was highly disappointing, and I hope this review helps others choose a trustworthy company for their move. NL Wilson was responsible for packing, and Wheaton Worldwide Travel moved us. We paid over 15K for the move, which included packing services. Our Keller Williams realtors recommended NL Wilson. We have used Keller Williams for all our property buying and selling needs over the last 15 years. Pros: The local movers in Arizona were very professional and could move all our furniture and electronics with great care. They took their time unpacking the boxes and equipment and were very careful. Despite the sweltering 100+ degree heat, they did a great job moving all the large and small boxes in the house. Though there was a 24-hour delay in delivery that they did not inform us about until the evening before, it wasn't a major issue since we were not going to start work right away. We took care of the movers, providing them with a good lunch, plenty of water, and rest. Cons: Sadly, the packing team in Kansas City lacked integrity. While we could have used other movers recommended by our company, we chose Wheaton World Wide Movers based on strong recommendations from our Keller Williams agents, who assured us that they would promptly handle any issues occurring during the move. Several items went missing, but a bag costing over 5K never arrived. Our relator and I contacted NL Wilson within 5 days of the move, but we kept getting a run around from them. Initially, they asked us to send pictures, and then they told us that they were discussing amongst the owners what to do about it; a month later, they asked us to fill out a claims form. When we fill the claims form, Wheaton World Wide Travel informed us that since we did not fill this in within 5 days, they wouldn't entertain our concerns; when we told them that it was within 5 days, then they tried to accuse our agent of possibly being responsible for the absent items who was present at the site during the move. Then they claimed that since we did not inform them about tampered boxes, they were not responsible for the missing items. The NL Wilson sent a couple of ladies to pack personal items; they are not interrogated in any way, but they again tried to blame it on the agent present there for the stolen items. To date, they have told us that they will contact us back. Still, all I have heard from the owner is that his brother owns the company, so he will need to talk to him first (it has been 4 months now) and then some representative from their company contacted us briefly and said they would circle back with us and no one has done that so far. Nothing positive from the claims department with Wheaton World Wide travel, who placed the blame on us the whole time, stating that first, they were not informed, second that there were other people present in the house who could have taken the stolen items, third that all boxes were not checked right away so they cannot do anything and the last response that since no boxes were tampered, they cannot take any responsibility about this. While we take responsibility for leaving high-dollar items and trusting a packing company with those ( you live and learn), the fact that they are still giving us the runaround and shifting the blame on the realtor who recommended them is so unprofessional and disappointing. We still have a strong community that we are still connected to in Kansas City, and based on our experience, we absolutely cannot recommend NL Wilson for moving and packing needs. Many other reputable companies are available, and in hindsight, we wish we had chosen based on other recommendations. If the move goes well, it is fine, but do not expect a favorable response from the company's behalf; as you can see in other reviews, if something happened to the items during the move from the company, that lacks integrity. read more

Stevens Van Lines (Saginaw, MI), now owned by Wheaton World Wide Moving was hired and contracted by me via SafeWay Moving & Storage (Lake Forest, CA) to move our household goods from Southern California to Chicagoland. The "white glove" packing was completed on 8/27/18, goods were loaded on 8/28/18 and delivered on 9/4/18. As there was evidence of damage to some household goods, we had swiftly alerted the broker (SafeWay Moving & Storage) the same day of delivery, asking them to address the issue for us. After the broker confirmed they were getting nowhere w/ Stevens related to any damages, I was informed on 10/18/19 to file an official claim myself, which I did on 10/19/18. Relating to one of our most prized pieces of furniture, our buffet was rebuilt by the driver/team upon delivery. However, when the legs put back on underneath, either the wrong screws were used or they were tightened too much, puncturing the inside of the cabinet from the bottom up, which was completely unnoticeable until we had began loading the cabinet well after the team had gone. Without sending anyone to my property to physically inspect the damage, Stevens had swiftly denied my claim on 10/25, with the following rebuttal, which they continue using today. "As this item is one that would be used on a daily basis it is reasonable to conclude that if the loss occurred while the item was in our custody, it would have been noticed either at delivery or shortly thereafter. The damage/loss for this item was not reported until 46 days after delivery. We find that the 2nd element of Carmack has not been proven. When this shipment delivered you signed the inventories acknowledging that the shipment was received in apparent good condition unless otherwise noted. You did not note any damage to this item at the time of delivery. There is no evidence that the damage that is now being claimed is a result of our handling or that this item changed condition while under our care, custody, and control. Therefore, we must respectfully deny liability." Unfortunately, they continue holding their line on this excuse. And their contracts are written so vaguely that any wrongdoing will always be pointed back at the consumer while protecting their corporation. read more

I hired WM Meyers Movers out of Itasca, IL, in 2020 to move my Chicago area home into storage for 2 years while my Charlotte area home was being built. I put my trust in the company that touted themselves as "official movers of the Chicago Bears". At the time, they were not affiliated with Wheaton or if so, it was not communicated to me. Had I known I would have gone with another company as I give good credence to reviews. Move in date was February 15th of this year. Many damaged items were immediately evident and in the subsequent days of unpacking more and more was discovered. Frustrating yes, but at that point I wasn't too alarmed. Having made several long distance moves, I understand these things happen and why I opted for the best zero deducible insurance coverage offered. After thoroughly documenting everything with photos, receipts and descriptions, I submitted a claim for 16 items totaling $3,200. The claims adjuster upon learning that I had the damaged items repaired and discarded the broken ones immediately called out a excerpt from their terms of service policy stating that "they have the right to inspect and repair damaged articles". A clause they used to absolve themselves of fair payment despite the indisputable visual evidence. Upon going back & forth with the adjuster, the contradictory feedback made it clear to me they had no intention of accepting responsibility citing "we didn't have the opportunity to inspect". Here are just 2 of the many aforementioned contradictions: * 3 of the denied items claimed were observed and noted by the crew chief of the delivery team which to me checks the inspection box. * They did cover 3 items for $665 based solely on photo documentation with no inspection requested. Yet inspection was their sole basis for denying the majority of the claim. With moving and storage, I spent over 40K with this company. They used a buried gray area policy with arbitrary application to save $2,300 from their bottom line. And if this all sounds like just one disgruntled customer going on a rant, check out the 100+ 1 star google reviews and 2 star Yelp rating. That should speak volumes about the integrity of Wheaton Worldwide. Do your due diligence to find a reputable moving company that will treat your belongings with the care they deserve and you with respect. read more

Wheaton Moving Company is horrible. They moved me from a 2 bedroom house from Chicagoland to TX. I was never given a checkoff sheet while they were unloading. A two bedroom house came in two different shipments, 2 weeks apart. I had kitchen chairs, no table. Had pieces of my chairs because they were taken apart. When I contacted them to tell them that a lot of my items didn't arrive, I was told that I signed saying that I received everything. I did not sign that I received everything. Plus, I had to purchase, towels, bedding, etc because it didn't arrive in the first move. I didn't receive anything for those purchases. If I were you, I would not trust them with your items. I am still today (nine months later) realizing stuff that is missing. Just ridiculous! I paid $6K for a move for them to lose or mis-deliver my items. A totally useless & incompetent driver. Management lied to us and said they'd take care of the damaged grass that their driver tore up because he didn't know how to drive his rig. After three weeks of emails back and forth, their lacked safety manager says he has no authority to fix the damage because Wheaton doesn't own the land. Disaster from start to finish. Although 2 days for packing was projected no one showed the first day and despite promises to send the "best crew" the next day only one of the crew was an experienced packer. In the end, many items were damaged, furniture broken including a chair that will cost over $1000 to replace, china cabinet, cedar chest and dresser and poorly packaged items were broken. Wheaton covered nothing because our items were stored locally for a few months before being delivered to our home. In total several thousand dollars of items were damaged or broken, why did they suggest we buy insurance if they were not going to cover any loss?I would not touch them with a 10 foot pole. read more

Currently they have agreed to pay $10,000 in damage but will not pay the last $3000 because we did not note missing items on the inventory sheet when we received our goods. I'm getting this out early in the review in case you do not want to read all of the full details. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND FIND A MOVING COMPANY ACTUALLY TRAINED IN MOVING BELONGINGS. In a nut shell the process looks like this: 1. You have Tom Callaghan come and evaluate how much of your house you are planning to move 2. After some negotiation, you come to a price you are happy with and sign on the dotted line 3. You will then go through scheduling the move and have the final moving date moved on you without ANY communication 4. You will never hear from Tom Callaghan or his group of "reliable" team members again even in the case of needing to speak to someone about a concern. If you are connected to a woman called Jenn, please hang up the phone and find another moving service as her ability to communicate is a severed skill 5. Your items may be delivered, but don't expect them to be delivered in the same condition as you left them 6. They will not send the right amount of people. One person per truck to unload is their model. Expect 4-5 hours per truck with one person After scoping a number of moving companies, we were presented with Wheaton World Wide Moving (operated by MovingServices4U) and as per the process, Tom Callaghan came to our house to review our belongings and give us an idea on what the moving experience and cost would be like. He came prepared with a folder of useless information and told us that he desperately wants to win our business as he is a local business struggling business. Pulling at our heart strings and noting that I wanted to get the move conducted within a certain price frame I made the incredibly now stupid decision of accepting his proposal and scheduled the move with him. He negated to divulge that the move wasn't formally operated by Wheaton World Wide moving, but instead is operated by his very shady own business of MovingServices4U. Once we had signed on the dotted line, that was the last time we heard from Tom even though there was countless calls, voicemails and emails that I had sent to him regarding the many concerns that we had. Not once, even to this day have we heard from Tom. The scheduling piece was incredibly unreliable. We were told one date, planned to move into our house on that date and was then told that the date that was promised is no longer something they can commit to. We moved into the house for one week with no furniture. Of course, that was inconvenient, but the issue that we didn't hear from them until the morning of the move threw us off. They told us they would be there by 2 PM ET. They arrived at 9 PM ET. Jenn who seems to be the office secretary was incompetent, rude and unable to even get scheduling correct. The one thing that her job description outlines and she couldn't get that right. When I called her, she couldn't give me a date and for a week we were fed lies and no one could own up to the mistake. She was and is hostile, rude and condescending. When matching her tone on the phone, I was called names and even told that they wouldn't deliver my items. If you have the delight of speaking with her, hang up and call back and hope for someone else. After being spoken to so rudely I was contacted by a customer care agent; Kay Anderson. Kay too began with listening to my concerns and even telling me that the contract with the committed move date was forged from Jenn. Kay emailed a copy of the original contract and this confirmed her accusation of the forgery. The team forged the move date due to their error in scheduling and wanted to cover their tracks. To make things worse after a move you are provided with a survey with the name of the coordinator you connected with. In this case ours was Jenn. Kay confirmed that Jenn had removed herself from being our coordinator knowing that I was going to provide a bad review of this company. Kay immediately put her back into the case file. That alone is unacceptable. Kay dropped helping us like a ton of bricks after she realized how many mistakes were happening. Equally as helpful as the rest of the Wheaton/MovingServices4U team. They brought two guys for two full trucks of things to be pulled off. We were told that they won't go through the checklist of boxes as that will add another 2 hours and they didn't have time to do that. After the first house and only a handful of boxes were taken off the truck and they had taken 2 smoke breaks already, they told me that if I want my belongings off the truck that I had better get to work. No insurance policy they started having me carry boxes off the truck. Of course, the inevitable happened and there was an injury sustained on the truck which is an entirely separate issue. read more

The driver Ron Parks with wheaton world wide moving is extremely incompetent and unprofessional. He pushed back the delivery date multiple times. On the day the delivery was supposed to happen the driver had us met him in a different state, costing over $140.00 in travel fees. On the way to meet him, he contacted us to tell us he slept late and had to move the meeting to a later time. When we finally did meet he told us "this isn't going to work, we need a new plan" then he told us to wait there in the middle of no where and drove away. He wouldn't answer calls or text messages. Came late. Didn't send enough people to finish the job. Driver got there and was furious that it wasn't ready. Then they rushed. Ruined my dining room table, scratched a lot of stained woodwork, broke china. We have moved 5 times in 20 years and this was the worst. We were also told to be sure and let the packers pack anything good so that it would have better insurance coverage. Then we were told when they broke things that we only get 60 cents per pound on anything. When the Estimator comes it should be explained and the form should be given then so we could of thought about how to insure rather than being handed and say quick sign as they are rushing around packing things. If I could give Bekin's Moving Company a less than nothing rating I would; for their lack of integrity, respect, and values, and most of all for lying to their customers. The driver Juan, cracked my marble coffee table, his excuse was that when he first saw it, it should have been wrapped to protect the marble, if he knew that why didn't I get a call telling me that so that I could have had them wrap it; incompetent and laziness. When I told him that a very special and important box was missing his answer was "Oh well". He was too, busy trying to make a move on me to ask me out, and what nationally I was, so now this company not only hires incompetent, lazy people but stalkers too. All I can say is, shame on you Wheaton, for a parent company you are doing a terrible job is teaching your children to do the right thing. The company's policy is that they have 90 days to find your things or pay your claim. I submitted my claim, within 48 hours I received an email from a claim adjuster, Donna, stating that they will work to resolve the matter quickly and close the claim. It took her over 30 days to quote me back what I had signed on my contract that my things were only worth 60 cents on the dollar, it didn't matter to her that I had told her that my box could be in one of the storages units, that the incompetent driver dropped off before he dropped my things off. Why didn't they ask the owners, of those boxes if they could send someone to the unit and open and close and each box until my box was found, because they don't want to waste their time or money? I paid so now you are screwed. But, if I knew someone in their company of influence my box would have been founded, is that always the way. read more

Rescued by AZ Attorney General Wheaton and Davcon underestimated the moving costs and then held my items hostage until I paid an additional $2,364. My first payment was $12,254.30 which was more than 110% of the non-binding agreement. The AZ AG has a fraud division, they sent a state trooper to investigate. He reviewed all the documents and determined I had already overpaid and owed nothing more. Two officers were at my home and ordered Wheaton to release my items. My mother and I are senior citizens and they continue to send threatening letters to get their money. We have reported them and they are being investigated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. I received an estimate from Phil Beanblossom for my move to a new state. I let him know that I was getting quotes from other moving companies, but he still tried to pressure me to sign it immediately. The quote said it was good for 30 days. 2 weeks after I received the initial estimate, I contacted Phil to contract the move. He said that he could still schedule my move, but that the price had increased $2,100. When I questioned him why the initial quote wasn't good anymore, he started yelling at me over the phone. Ultimately, I cancelled my move with Wheaton and am using Coleman instead. Don't do your move with these guys and definitely don't use Phil Beanblossom. read more

Never in our lives have we had a worse experience with a moving company. Boxes arrived wet and crushed, every single piece of furniture was dented and scratched, they lost the parts box so things nothing was put back together (we had to hire a handyman to do it), and the Georgia crew left in the middle of the delivery because of the missing parts box. When we called the office to say we were withholding payment until things were made right, we were literally told the crew would come back and beat us if we didn't pay. What? They moved my bedroom set from Boston to Florida. My bed frame was fabric and they didn't protect it properly as it had 2 unremovable stains when it arrived. They offered me $50 for a $2,500 bed frame. I would never use them again. read more

P.S.A. if you want the world's worst moving experience of your life or of anyone's life, hire Wheaton World Wide Moving. Their motto is "We Move Your Life", it should be we will ruin your life. Now that we have all of our belongings I am writing this. Fear of retaliation by Wheaton encompassing more damages and more missing items kept me silent until now. But the 32 days from pick up in CT to the final delivery in Mississippi is behind us now, and I feel like people need to know what happened to not ever have to go through what we have. When moving 1200 miles away, literally across the country, you have an important decision to make with a moving company. You have to have faith that everything you own will be handled with care, you have to trust that the company you are contracting and paying a large sum of money to sees you as more than a paycheck. Wheaton and Altherton are not who you can trust and have faith in. Moving/buying a home is one of the top stresses of your adult life. And for us this was supposed to be one of the happiest times of our lives, purchasing a home and property of our dreams. For 32 days it was not complete, we were unsettled. We were forced to buy things we already owned to not continue to look at the house of our dreams empty and unlivable. With so much on the final delivery we had to do all the work all over again. After moving things in every cabinet, every drawer, every closet, every outbuilding on the property we have finally completed this process. We are mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted. Mostly we are sad and still dumbfounded. None of this needed to happen. All of this could have been avoided. If they could not do the job they should have been honest from the beginning. We would have found another company that could have done it. And when things went badly from day one (pick up) there was no sense of urgency to rectify the issue. We hired wheaton movers/Seaford transit to move us from Virginia to Washington state in January 2021. A couple days before our household goods were delivered we paid our bill "in full". No complaint there, I believe that's standard protocol in the moving business. You always pay "in full" before they will deliver your goods. As we filed our claim against the company for some damaged items, we were told that we had an additional bill of almost $1000.00. To be clear, we had not heard ANYTHING about owing them additional money until we filed a claim against them for items they damaged. Coincidence? We had to pay that additional "fee" before they would allow us to file a claim against them. read more

Had them hire a sub contractor who helped on my move without background checks. They stole off of myself and my son. The worker got caught trying to hide items to steal. We thought this was it. It was all documented. My items show up and they stole more and then Wheaton, even with knowledge of the attempted theft by their sub denied my claim without interviewing anyone on my side involved and denied it within 24 hours. We went through Olympia Movers in Austin, TX, but they outsourced our move to Wheaton. The movers were friendly, wore masks as much as possible, and at no time did I question their ability to make my move a successful one. We tipped them for their hard work, and set off for MI. (Spoiler alert, I wish I could take back those tips!) A week later my belongings arrived in MI and it was a total disaster from there on out. The movers (in TX) had undoubtedly treated my belongings, everything I own, essentially my whole life, like garbage. A preschooler could've packed that truck with more care. Most boxes were crushed, smashed, dented, or simply torn wide open. Yes, even the ones marked "fragile". Then the big ticket items... gouges, scratches, and dents in my beautiful, practically new dining table, kitchen table, LG washer & dryer, Simple Human trash can, and Vizio smart TV. I feel like they made it their goal to ruin everything value, and they succeeded. Moving out of state is stressful enough, then to know I paid almost $7000 to have a crew of careless, clueless, thoughtless people throw and stuff my belongings in so haphazardly that finding a box intact was nearly impossible. I truly could've done this move better myself, for a fraction of the cost! Luckily we had full coverage insurance, but that doesn't do much when your items get bashed around, but still function. Oh, they can repair my dining table, they're replacing the broken smaller items, but the rest of the big ticket damage is nothing more than a small dollar amount for "loss of appearance". I paid $7000 to have my valuable items made to look like garbage, "but hey, here's a little something since it looks like crap now but still works, thanks for your business! ". If you are considering a crew of Wheaton movers in TX, just don't! The MI guys who unloaded me couldn't believe that professional movers had acrually packed that truck, they said it was no surprise at all that I sustained so much damage. All in all, my worst move thus far, and I've moved A LOT. read more

They lost four priceless and treasured paintings that are irreplaceable, carelessly packed and broke a valuable rare ceramic pottery urn and delivered four large pieces of furniture to the wrong address, one of which was a delicate chandelier. Michelle Borden from the claims department is one of the most unhelpful people I've encountered. The moving company damaged my belongings during a move from NYC to the Bay Area, and Michelle seems to be trying her hardest to find any excuse not to compensate me for my loss. Beware their movers - I asked them to wrap certain fragile and high value things in bubble wrap and they used "white paper" - just rolled up paper - instead. Of course, this resulted in my belongings being damaged. They are also not communicative on their deadlines - I was told that the move would be an estimated 2-3 weeks, and closer to 3 weeks, but it actually came 10 days earlier than expected so I had to arrange for alternative storage, which was also expensive.
