The sandwich was good, but I don't think people in Texas understand the concept of a tiny bit of mayo. Overall, recommended, but be careful with the mayo, skip the cookie, and watch out for PJ Grandpas when leaving the parking lot.

This Giddings spot is tiny but mighty with a small deduction of the normal beaver fare, clean restrooms and drink stations, and a fair amount of pumps. However, they lack the quality I have come to expect. Specifically, the coffee station gained my ire this time. The last 2 times I have stopped here, the coffee was bad. Like Circle K bad. Burnt and tasteless. And they lack the space for the cold creamers to hide the flavor. The carafes are too low to fit a large cup under so you have to tilt them, risking hot coffee split across your hand. At least it isn't as hot as McD's.

I can then decide if I want that item and what the charge is. Since neither were provided, I was surprised to see it on my bill. I did not question the charge, it was just deleted from the tip. I will probably return however this is a teaching moment, if you are going to charge extra for a client's request, tell them you are and what the charge is. It was also nice to see other employees stepping in to help if she needed it. We were very scattered with our order so that made it difficult for her. Once we finished ordering, I was thinking we would sit down and they would call us for our food but within five minutes of ordering there, it was coming out of the kitchen so I had just gotten it paid for and we were taking it back to the dining area. I had a taco salad. It was small in comparison to other taco salads I've had but it contained all the essential ingredients. They forgot the salsa, but that was OK. The only issue I had with it was the bowl/taco shell tasted like stale oil. Not sure if you've ever had a hard shell with a funny taste, but that's what I would compare it to one of the ladies had three tacos and some cheese bites and she said hers was good.
