I take my little neighbor here to volunteer and ended up adopting one of the cats. Love this place!

I cannot say enough good things about Forever Home Dog Rescue. From the application process to…read moremeeting my dog, it was clear how much they truly care about the animals they rescue. What stood out most was how thoughtful and thorough they are. They do not just let any dog go to anyone. They ask questions, learn about your lifestyle, family, and living situation, and help make sure it is the right fit for both the dog and the adopter. They truly want every dog to find a forever home. I originally came in to meet a specific dog, but Sarah and Eliz helped me think through whether that dog was really the best fit for me, my family, and the dog. Their honesty and care meant so much. Sarah, one of the volunteers, spent over three hours helping people, answering questions, supporting the animals, and making thoughtful matches. She helped match me with the perfect dog for my family, and I am so thankful for her time and patience. Eliz, who runs the rescue, clearly pours her heart into these animals and advocates hard for every one of them. After visiting in person, I have an even deeper respect for rescue work. The volunteers give their weekends, time, and energy to help animals who need someone to fight for them. I will absolutely continue supporting Forever Home Dog Rescue and encouraging others to rescue instead of shop. Especially from this rescue.

The audacity of the incompetent people that work here. Thank you guys for making the adoption…read moreexperience so unimaginably horrible that it pushed me to buy my dream dog from a breeder! So glad I didn't give Forever Home Dog Rescue a penny. I would rather buy a used car, go to the DMV or go to Verizon without an appointment than deal with this awful group of people. Want to get a dog from here? (No you don't), you can't call them.. If you send an email, you won't get a response. Once you do finally play their sick game enough, they turn around and give the dog they promised you to someone else. You better have mansion, dog butler and a 20+ year history raising dogs if you think you deserve one of their dogs... please save yourself the headache and heartache and avoid adopting from this horrible rescue!

They did a great job of walking us through their whole adoption submission process which was online. They were very thorough where we had to meet the foster family with the dog twice to ensure we were a good fit. Dog Gone Seattle adoption coordinator and foster mom were really responsive to our first couple of follow up questions after our successful adoption of our new heeler. 6 months later, he's settled in so nicely and now we have a wonderful, loving dog added to our family. We couldn't be happier!

I really appreciated their process, allowing me to meet with her and the foster family and then allowing us to make a mutual decision once she had met all of her applicants. I also appreciated that Justyna continued to support us after the adoption. Olive was barking a lot during crate training, and they were ready to give me tips and advice. I could tell they were super committed to finding the right fit for the dog but also to supporting me. I am now looking to adopt again and have loved that they host meet and greets at local breweries and wineries. I also really like that they continually update their dog listings as the foster family learns more about each dog. I feel like when I look at the listings, I can learn a lot about the dog and feel like they keep it real. Excited to hopefully adopt with them again very soon!

I've been to several shelters in the past year to adopt and it's been up and down. I went here on a Saturday after work and brought home my fur ever baby girl. I'm a proud happy fur mom . This is the happiest day of my life . I cried so many tears of joy when I was able to adopt my new female dog. I named her Sasha. Previously known as Oldsmobile. Sasha is the absolute sweetest girl ever. Sasha is what my heart needed. As a puppy she is very smart. Introducing to crate has been fairly well. Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. You will never be disappointed. The accept donations from you if your pet has passed away, been surrendered or you just want to donate, food, toys, supplies for dogs and cats. Well, I could continue to give praises all day. Gotta go mommy duty is calling.

A couple of years ago when I was traveling out of town on business, I got a frantic call from my…read morewife that our dog had gotten out of our yard and was nowhere to be found. I was in a pretty helpless position as I was not due to be home for several days. My son came up with a great idea and checked online to see if our dog had been found and turned in to the RASKC. Sure enough, she was there. My wife went down the next morning, paid the fee and picked her up. She had been well treated, and we are very thankful that they found her and gave her a good safe place until we could come get her. My son said that she was so excited to see him. She cried and whined, and fell asleep in his arms in the car. Thank you very much

I intend this to be constructive: please fix your system!…read more 1. volunteers: please let the volunteers try to get through the system once so they understand the user experience and understand the waitlist app and how it looks, what the user sees, and how it calls us. everyone should have to do this. today i was treated rudely (like a scam artist or something) by volunteers while i was doing precisely what i was told to do by the waitlist and the front desk. 2. the waitlist app: the waitlist app is absolutely and totally broken. I waited through a list of 8 people and when I got to the top i was randomly dropped to number 5 again. I waited again. the third time i was at the top, I went to the adoption center they said my name was nowhere on the list at all. it went on and on! I was there for 2 hours of this. I know that you are underfunded but really--why is this so bizarrely inept and broken? Just make a PAPER LIST and call us, like a restaurant hostess would do. We didn't adopt, but we will from a good organization. And the place we adopt from will also receive our donation money.

Anita advertised 5 puppy's the were all AKC certified and upon arrival showed us 4. We bought the small black and white puppy for $800. We got him home and he ate a little but was very sleepy. Over the next day the puppy's health deteriorated so badly that he began having seizures and foaming at the mouth. I took the puppy to the the vet and they kept him for observation and ran all the tests for diseases which all came back negative, but the vet sent him home with us saying he still didn't think something was right. We fed the puppy with a water dropper and spoon fed him some special food, but his temp dropped through the night and I slept with him wrapped in a heating pad on my chest. By morning the puppy had no muscle control and was in a coma! We rushed him to the vet and the vet told us to go to the emergency vet. We went right away and there they hooked him up to an iv and a catheter, but we're not able to revive him. He had a few more seizure and then died! We had been trying to contact the breeder over these 4 days and received no response. My husband decided to go to her house the night the puppy passed and she hid, her son saying she wasn't home. When we saw her over the fence she yelled at us and told us the puppy was fine when we bought him. She said if we took another puppy and IT died she would give us a refund. Of course we did not do this! She had several other puppy's there that she never showed us when we originally bought the puppy leading Us To believe she knew something was wrong with puppy we bought. She told us to leave and was unsympathetic and unapologetic! We have contacted animal control and she has been served with papers today as I am taking her to small claims court! PLEASE DO NOT BUY DOGS FROM THIS AWEFUL PERSON!!!! Her phone number is (425) 923-7890!!!!! SHE ADVERTISES ON EBAY CLASSIFIEDS AS AN ANONYMOUS SELLER AND CAN BE FOUND BY HER PHONE NUMBER. She should never be allowed to own or breed another dog and should be convicted of animal cruelty!!!! IM ONLY GIVING THIS A STAR BECAUSE I AM Forced TO OTHERWISE I CANT POST THIS! I'd rather give it negative stars!!!
