I cannot say enough good things about Forever Home Dog Rescue. From the application process to…read moremeeting my dog, it was clear how much they truly care about the animals they rescue. What stood out most was how thoughtful and thorough they are. They do not just let any dog go to anyone. They ask questions, learn about your lifestyle, family, and living situation, and help make sure it is the right fit for both the dog and the adopter. They truly want every dog to find a forever home. I originally came in to meet a specific dog, but Sarah and Eliz helped me think through whether that dog was really the best fit for me, my family, and the dog. Their honesty and care meant so much. Sarah, one of the volunteers, spent over three hours helping people, answering questions, supporting the animals, and making thoughtful matches. She helped match me with the perfect dog for my family, and I am so thankful for her time and patience. Eliz, who runs the rescue, clearly pours her heart into these animals and advocates hard for every one of them. After visiting in person, I have an even deeper respect for rescue work. The volunteers give their weekends, time, and energy to help animals who need someone to fight for them. I will absolutely continue supporting Forever Home Dog Rescue and encouraging others to rescue instead of shop. Especially from this rescue.

The audacity of the incompetent people that work here. Thank you guys for making the adoption…read moreexperience so unimaginably horrible that it pushed me to buy my dream dog from a breeder! So glad I didn't give Forever Home Dog Rescue a penny. I would rather buy a used car, go to the DMV or go to Verizon without an appointment than deal with this awful group of people. Want to get a dog from here? (No you don't), you can't call them.. If you send an email, you won't get a response. Once you do finally play their sick game enough, they turn around and give the dog they promised you to someone else. You better have mansion, dog butler and a 20+ year history raising dogs if you think you deserve one of their dogs... please save yourself the headache and heartache and avoid adopting from this horrible rescue!

This is the best place to adopt a dog. The time the staff spends with you is top notch. The quality…read moreof care for the animals and the new parent adopters are amazing. I've been to several shelters in the past year to adopt and it's been up and down. I went here on a Saturday after work and brought home my fur ever baby girl. I'm a proud happy fur mom . This is the happiest day of my life . I cried so many tears of joy when I was able to adopt my new female dog. I named her Sasha. Previously known as Oldsmobile. Sasha is the absolute sweetest girl ever. Sasha is what my heart needed. As a puppy she is very smart. Introducing to crate has been fairly well. Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. You will never be disappointed. The accept donations from you if your pet has passed away, been surrendered or you just want to donate, food, toys, supplies for dogs and cats. Well, I could continue to give praises all day. Gotta go mommy duty is calling.

I intend this to be constructive: please fix your system!…read more 1. volunteers: please let the volunteers try to get through the system once so they understand the user experience and understand the waitlist app and how it looks, what the user sees, and how it calls us. everyone should have to do this. today i was treated rudely (like a scam artist or something) by volunteers while i was doing precisely what i was told to do by the waitlist and the front desk. 2. the waitlist app: the waitlist app is absolutely and totally broken. I waited through a list of 8 people and when I got to the top i was randomly dropped to number 5 again. I waited again. the third time i was at the top, I went to the adoption center they said my name was nowhere on the list at all. it went on and on! I was there for 2 hours of this. I know that you are underfunded but really--why is this so bizarrely inept and broken? Just make a PAPER LIST and call us, like a restaurant hostess would do. We didn't adopt, but we will from a good organization. And the place we adopt from will also receive our donation money.

I was in a pretty helpless position as I was not due to be home for several days. My son came up with a great idea and checked online to see if our dog had been found and turned in to the RASKC. Sure enough, she was there. My wife went down the next morning, paid the fee and picked her up. She had been well treated, and we are very thankful that they found her and gave her a good safe place until we could come get her. My son said that she was so excited to see him. She cried and whined, and fell asleep in his arms in the car. Thank you very much

The front desk…read morestaff was really friendly and helpful -- they took their time and pointed me toward some sweet dogs that seemed like a good match. While I was there, I noticed a little pug and asked about her. They told me she wasn't available for adoption. I could see why -- her butt was prolapsed and there was liquid poop and blood all over her kennel. She was panting, whining, and frantically trying to get out. It was really upsetting to see. I spoke with the manager, who told me not to worry, that they had it under control and the dog was fine. I left feeling terrible. I came back a few days later and the poor pug was still in the same condition -- prolapse, bloody diarrhea, the whole thing. She still looked miserable. I'm really concerned that they don't have the animals' best interest at heart. A prolapsed rectum is painful, and there was clearly blood coming from her. I just don't understand how a person could look at that and think it's okay to leave her like that. This experience has me seriously questioning the level of care the animals are getting. I wanted to support the shelter, but I left feeling heartbroken and worried. I'm still looking to adopt a dog, but after this experience I don't feel confident adopting from here.

I tried again two days later, same experience happened. Finally a day later they told me the cat I chose was already gone and told me to just make an appointment whenever I see a new cat arrives. I did but then the lady said I can't make an appointment because the cat just came in, need 72 hours. She can't guarantee I would get the cat though. I don't want to waste more time, I went to a different shelter where people know how to run the business. I got the cat!
