I found my coffee! I like a light to medium roast, hard to find in Albuquerque. WB has a selection of each.While the bags on the shelf were labelled by roast level, they did not have cupping notes. However, I asked at the counter, and they produced a set of cards, discussed what I was looking for, and recommended a few to try. I have tried the Copper Canyon in a pour-over, and love it! A medium roast that maintains a number of subtle fruity and other flavors. Not burned away like much of Albuquerque coffee. WB is a bit of a drive for me, but I will be going back for more. read more

I've been meaning to cross the river to check this place out for a while, and it didn't disappoint. The owner helped me and was very informative and really nice. I love talking coffee, and she was willing to indulge me in coffee talk. Since they roast there own beans, I went with a pour over Sumatra. It was smooth and rich and helped in my decision to buy a bag of beans. I also had fantastic maple pecan scone which came from a local baker. While I was enjoying my coffee, I noticed how the baristas knew the regular customers drink orders which to me is another sign of a great coffees shop. Walked in on 10/1 at 11:45 to get an americano, barista was behind the counter with her back to the customer and never looked up once to greet anyone coming into the store. Even a "hello, I'll be right with you" would have kept me in the shop. I left. Nice space, bad customer service. read more

$4 for an iced Americano in a personal mug? And why does an iced Americano cost more than a hot Americano? You charge for ice but not for hot water? The price of the Americano is the same as that of a Latte - I know for certain milk costs more than water. That's insanely expensive and makes no sense. No way am I coming here again. I really wanted to like this place, and wish I could give it a 2.5 rating. There is ample parking as it is located in a big shopping center next to Sprouts. The shop is cute and clean with a few tables to sit and enjoy your drink. I came with my sister so we could use their wi-fi and sit for awhile. We shared a chocolate chip cookie bar from the New Mexico Tea Co. that was delicious! I had a latte which was just ok. It was a little bitter and nothing to write home about. My sister had a London fog which I tried and we both thought it was a little weak (even after steeping the tea for a full 5 minutes). I prefer the London Fog from Satellite or Empire Board Game Library. Since I don't live in the area, I probably won't be back unless someone else is buying. read more

We just moved into town from Boston and we tried out the local coffee scenes around Albuquerque. Me and my nephew drove around town and took espresso shots in the mornings while he was here to help. I got to try Whispering Bean after he left to get home for school and I wish that he could have tried this place with me. It's the best so far, smooth and solid along with Picacho beans. These are two most serious coffee places in Albuquerque so far. Humble coffee comes in third for me. read more
