Ranger was very nice and helpful. Area has enclosed restroom facilities available near campsites. We found a great spot near the water and ended up being the only campers there. The hot springs facility was closed until the weekend, but looked great. We had a peaceful start to the new year and can't wait to go back to this location to hike and fish in the summer.

Mosquitoes were hatching. This time of the year the water was high.... Fallon side had clean beaches, plenty of trash receptacles and clean restrooms. You can camp on the beaches or in the developed areas. Boat ramps are available or you can launch off of the beach. Beware of the sand!! Make sure you bring plenty of water and ice. No close stores.

Water levels are lower than I remember, but it was nice to take a trip down memory lane. Every Summer, my parents drove their RV and I watched from the top bunk. My brothers and I could never stay in our seats. My parents never knew what we were up to. We always booked the same block of camping sites and we invited three other family's every year. The old tires swings on the cottonwood trees were always a hit with us kids and staying up late catching June bugs, telling scary stories around a campfire and roasting marshmallows for smores. It was cool showing my kids where my parents brought us camping.

While I have never written a review previously, I feel compelled to do so here. Took my family to…read moresee if we could make a reservation. Signage was incomplete. While website said they closed at 8pm, we arrived before 8pm to find them already closed. While there is a stop sign advising to check-in and register, there is nothing that says you cannot enter the property. Onsite security was completely rude and unprofessional. He asked if I had a pass for my vehicle. I explained that we were looking to see if there was a room available. He said a phone call would have worked (extremely rude) and then told us to get off the property. I asked again if there were any rooms available and he replied he did not know. He hit the side of my truck with his hand and told us to leave and then he walked away. The kids in the truck were upset by him hitting it. At one point, I was attempting to read their posted signage where you are supposed to register. While they have instructions for "after hours" check in, security came back and threatened to call the police. I advised I was reading the afterhours check in information, to which he responded that was for the RV park, not hotel. I asked why the security personnel was being so rude and he responded because he was tired. Nonetheless, give a person a little power, and it gets abused. I have not seen a similar inferiority complex by security at any of the many KOA campgrounds or unaffiliated hotels ever. Total jerk and we will never go back. And, we are going to make sure all of our fellow RV/hotel friends know NOT to give this place their business. It's a shame too. The park looked nice. They will continue to lose business as long as this guy is allowed to run around in a threatening manner to potential customers, including those with kids in the car. It truly was unreal and 100% unprofessional and inappropriate.

One tip if you get to the main springs try not to go to the one on the right which is the bigger pool because it's more stagnant water and so there were a lot of these red looking worms or maggots swimming in there. The smaller pool on the left is much cleaner as there are two mini waterfalls that are keeping the water circulating and fresh. Anything less than five stars is an injustice so a glowing five stars and two thumbs up for Travertine Hot Springs!

Whether it's a crisp winter soak with snow on the ground, a calm spring sunrise, warm summer nights, or the quiet stillness of fall, this place always feels right. What makes it special isn't just the hot springs themselves, but the feeling of escape. At night, the sky opens up, endless stars, the Milky Way glowing above you, and if you're patient (or lucky), shooting stars cutting across the darkness. It's peaceful in a way that's hard to find anymore. This is my favorite place to unplug, reset and breathe. No noise, no rush, just nature doing what it does best. Camped for a night from Tues - Weds and had a blast. We were in site #3, which was close to the…read morerestroom and the sink but not close enough where it smells. People were respectful of the 10pm lights out so by the tine we went to bed there weren't any foot traffic -- there really wasn't much at all in the day either. We were able to make a reservation but when we got there at 12pm there were plenty of spots around (we did go middle of the week though.) There's fire-pits and a grill at each site. For #3, one 3-4 tent and a 1-2 person one fit. A picnic bench and a bear locker for each site too. The creek was a quick walk away and fun to sit in the edge and watch the water. Bit too cold for end of April to go in though.
