Paradise Shores RV Park is an absolute treasure! The layout is great, there's lots of space to maneuver, the hosts are friendly and helpful, the camp spots have everything you need. Even the tent spots are really nice. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with gorgeous flowers and colorful plants everywhere. There are beautiful aspen trees all around, which are nice to look at and listen to when the gentle afternoon breeze picks up. They have laundry facilities available, which we did not use. There are communal gathering areas with bbqs, fire pits, a dish washing station, and lots of seating. The campground sits on the shores of the Bridgeport Reservoir. There were lots of birds flying around eating the bugs after a lake fly (non biting) hatch. There were a few chipmunks running around, and they were not interested in us at all. BEST BONUS: THE BATHROOMS! These are the nicest camp bathrooms I've ever seen. They feel like fancy country club bathrooms, the only thing missing is an attendant with cologne bottles and a tip jar. There are cotton balls, q-tips, lotions, air fresheners, disposable razors, a hair dryer (at least in the women's), and nice folded paper towels in cute baskets. There was a shower chair available if needed. The showers are amazing with gorgeous tilework, beautiful shower curtains, bamboo mats, etc. There's a step stool for kiddos to reach the sink as well as a chair for...well, I don't know. I've never had a bathroom with a chair before! Did I mention hot water and impressive water pressure? You will not be disappointed, I promise. We plan on visiting again soon!

Great location, friendly staff, gorgeous sunset view. Arrived last minute and got a great spot for campervan. Amazingly clean bathrooms!

sewer dump right next to picnic table DISGUSTING!!! UNCLEAN!!

The site given to us had the picnic table right next to a rentable trailer dump. There was no other space in the campsite to move the picnic table unless we put it in the street. Absolutly disgusting. How can you have a site that I would be tripping over the sewer in order to cook or eat. I was so disgusted that we couldn't wait to leave the next day even though we had reservations for an additional night. I wouldn't be suprised if this is breaking health codes. We asked to be moved to another site but were told no. The bathroom is the only saving grace to this campsite. It was clean with wonderful amenties. I would rather eat in the bathroom than in my campsite.

The facilities were extremely clean, convenient & easy RV hook-ups. Close to water to sit by the shore and bird watch. Only 1.5 miles to town of Bridgeport & 8-miles to Sweetwater. OHV roads are very close, too. We'll be back for sure.

We stayed at Paradise Shores Camp for 3 nights my father-in-law's birthday celebration and we had a blast! You can rent one of the RVs to stay in, bring your own RV/Trailer/Versatile Van or reserve a spot to tent camp so there is something for everyone. Our group did a little bit of all of those options. Myself and my fiancé stayed in the Baja RV with my brother-in-law and nephew and loved it! It was so cute and had everything we needed for the weekend to cook all of our meals. Our site came with outdoor chairs, a picnic bench and a patio chiminea to use since it got chilly at night. The group who was camping used the campground restrooms and they were really nice and clean. I don't think I've ever seen bathrooms and showers look so nice at a camp site! There were also public grills and a group fire pit available for use for anyone at the campground. The park is right next to the lake and they offer paddle boards and kayaks to be used by anyone staying there. We would definitely recommend Paradise Shores Camp and will likely be back ourselves in the future!

This is where I choose to celebrate a milestone birthday during a pandemic. So glad that I was able to escape from everything. We live in the Bay Area and have fallen in love with the Eastern Sierras over the past few years. Thank goodness the Sonora Pass was open and it was a go for us. Something I've always wanted to do, was camp inside an Airstream. At Paradise Shores I was able to do this. It is required that you book a 4 night minimum stay. At first I wasn't too happy about that, but after doing it, it was just the right amount. Prices aren't skyrocket high. I was more worried about getting time off from work. After doing the long drive, it's a relief to have a place to call home. Our unit didn't have a toilet or shower. We had to use the communal facility, which happen to be locked with a number code and extremely clean. Walking at night I could see the stars in the sky, wouldn't have seen that if I use a bathroom inside. The many perks for staying here is the walking distance to the lake. Where they allow you to use as a guest their kayaks, standup paddle boards, or paddle boat. Downtown Bridgeport is about 5 minutes down the road. Mono Lake is half an hour. Bodie is 15 minutes away. Mammoth Village is one hour away. Twin Lakes was about 20 minutes? So much to do in this magical area. I would consider staying here again and highly recommend others to give it a try and relax.

We just had a lovely visit here last week. The sites are pretty small and very close together but those are the only downsides. The location is great and being right next to the beautiful Bridgeport Reservoir is a definite plus. The hosts are very present and do a fantastic job of maintaining the campground in perfect condition. The bathrooms were spotless with no added charge for showers and were well stocked with more amenities than a nice hotel. They also have full hookups, great wi-fi, a fire pit and a perfect bbq set-up down by the water. Cell coverage can be a bit spotty but it's the Sierras!Mono Lake, Bodie, Lee Vining and Mammoth are close by.

This place is absolutely fantastic. We appreciated how well kept the campground is. Also whoever the Gardner is does a great job with the lovely flowers! The check in area is so cute. Great views of the reservoir from the sites and a very short walk down to the beach. We love that this place is dog friendly and has a off leash dog area because that's what our dogs love doing the most- running like crazy off leash. They also get some great sunsets! We were lucky to see a couple even with the smoke from the nearby fires. The dog wash station was so convenient. We didn't use the paddle boards or kayaks free for guest use this time but hopefully next time! We will definitely be back!

Is the tent area also have a parking next to it for an easy access to our van or is it a separate parking?

Each tent site has its parking spot for one car/SUV next to the site.

How cold does it get at night during September this time of the year ? Is it doable to camp out?

Hi Marie, it changes some from one year to another, but generally September nights start to feel cooler, with possible significant temperature drop in late Sept. Still very doable to tent camp, but be sure you bring some extra layers. You can also… Read more

I'm kind of a…read morecampground snob, meaning I like to scope out all the sites & pick the one that is most secluded, shaded, near a water source & bathroom, but not too close. Unfortunately due to a last minute change of plans I didn't have a choice as this was the only campsite available within 50 miles or so. It turns out, most of the sites in this little campground here are very nice & only a few are undesirable (exposed, near the road, very little room for a tent, etc.). Honeymoon Flat is one of many campgrounds on Twin Lakes Road just a few miles from Bridgeport. If you have never been to this part of California...GO. It is just gorgeous with the expansive green, grassy valley that runs right into the massive Sierra Nevada mountain range. It is really breathtakingly beautiful. We scoped out a few other campgrounds on Twin Lakes Road & Honeymoon Flat is one of the best. It is small (only 28 sites) and right next to Robinson Creek. Many of the sites are right on the creek & you can fall asleep to the sound of rushing water. The bear bins, fire pits, BBQ's, & picnic tables were all brand new. Such a clean campground! The only downside are the bathrooms (pit toilets). They were clean enough but full of flies. Not much you can do about that. I scoped out the best sites for next time...3, 5, 10, & 11. They are all on the river & very secluded. Don't miss the nearby hot springs, Bodie, Mono Lake & hiking in the Hoover wilderness!

Between the Lower and Upper grounds, there are plenty of neat, well-maintained campgrounds available for reservation and for walk-on. It's $20/per night for a site, which gets you one parking spot, one square sand lot for your tent, a picnic table, fire pit, and some sort of metal tray thing. The vault bathrooms are kept clean and stocked (albeit stinky, but what can you expect from a hole in the ground), and the drinking fountain is really a faucet outside where you can go about your abbreviated cleansing rituals. I would recommend getting a site near the creek as some other reviewers suggested as the gurgling helps mitigate the sound of RVs rolling by on the crunchy gravel. The host makes his rounds throughout the day to check on all the campers. Ours was super friendly and we asked him for directions and bear sightings (there was one the first night). Our second night, a small mob of six deer was watching the grounds intently probably on the same mission as the bear. The campground is surrounded by hills and mountains so it gets REALLY cold at night, with quite a bit of condensation collecting on our tent. Mornings were on the other end of the spectrum, the heat and light making it impossible to sleep for long (unless you're like my boyfriend who could sleep all day). The sandy ground makes for a much better sleeping experience, but we both highly recommend getting inflatable sleeping pads to make it even better!

It's absolutely worth the short detour. Located approximately 20 mins from Yosemite's entrance at Tioga Pass. These golden groves are located just before the entrance to the campground. While I'm not much of a camper myself, I did stroll through the site to get a feel for it just incase I ever change and become a camper. It's serene, quiet, and beautifully nestled alongside Lee Vining Creek. The area is shaded by trees and offers amenities like restrooms and picnic tables. If camping is your thing, I recommend checking out their website for more details. Even if you're not into camping, catching the Aspens in their autumn glory should be on your list if you're in the area between late October and early November.

Luckily we came across some super friendly Aspen Campground regulars, who invited us to share their double site which just happened to be situated in a prime spot right next to the beautifully bustling river - SCORE! The Big draw to Aspen is hands down the fishing. It just so happened that right before we arrived the local hatchery dropped a load of fresh trouts, ready to be hooked! This was my first time fishing, and I was able to catch (and Cook) my very first fish! If you like to fish and you like to camp, going to Aspen is a no brainer. The trees are also large and plentiful, so if you come, don't forget to pack your hammock!
