I have never done this before, But I am writing a review before the work is done, and the reason is simple... I have been looking for a place to install my stereo for a couple of weeks and every where I have gone I have been made feel either crazy or dumb... I don't pretend to know about it, that's why I go to professionals. Well that all changed yesterday when I went to whistle stop..Charles could not have been more helpful and honest... he was full of knowledge and steered me in all the right directions. I told him I was hoping to keep my stock back up camera and he said they will do what they can but they will make it work. He then called me a couple of hours later to tell me there was a harness I could get that will make it work... remember this was saving me $200 and he was losing a sale of a camera... this is the kind of professional honesty that we don't see very often. It was a pleasure to deal with them already.. honesty is hard to find in this business as I have learned before.. so I will update this after my work is done... but having this much confidence in this company already tends to ease the mind and let you know your car is in good hands.. One of the parts from the alarm system I brought in was defective, and basically him and I were working our butts off to get the problem solved, which took much longer than he originally quoted me for. Whistle Stop is the best quality and most honest business I have ever entrusted my car to. I wish they performed vehicle maintenance... because I would certainly be taking my car there for all its needs. That being said, if you need an alarm system, stereo, speakers, or to have your car door locks fixed, they are the place to go. They are always polite, friendly and quick and you cannot beat their prices. I first went to Whistle Stop about a year ago. My aunt suggested them saying that they could fix my locks in the backseat of my car. I was skeptical. I had taken my car to a few other places, and the estimates I got were around $200 per door. So I had given up on that. I went to Whistle Stop just to humor my aunt, expecting that they would give me a similar estimate which I could not afford... well they ended up doing it for about $60 per door and were extremely quick! They do a lot of custom jobs for cars, but no job is ever too small for them. I have brought in my remote clicker to be fixed, and they treat it just like any other job. The great thing about them is when they give you an estimate, they are not planning on jacking up the price. In fact, every single time I have been there they end up charging me LESS than what the originally estimated the cost to be. Brought my 2013 Nissan Juke to install a backup camera with a 4.5-in LCD monitor purchased from e-bay. Dan and his staff did a great job to place the camera and monitor where I wanted but unfortunately we discovered the camera was not assembled correctly at the factory. The camera lense was pointing sideways and the housing case is too tight to allow any adjustments. It took 2 weeks for the replacement unit to arrive from Hong Kong and this time Dan offered me a discount rate for the 2nd installation service. A week later, the LCD monitor located on top of the instrument panel keeps shutting down due to heat exposure (direct sunlight). Made another appointment with Dan to relocate (move down) the LCD monitor to resolve the heat issue. To my surprise, Dad didn't charge me for this new job, he just wanted his customer to feel satisfied with his services. I never had such a great customer service for FREE!! It's so nice to find a reputable and honest business! A friend recommended Whistle Stop when my car's (BMW) Parrot system stopped working. I had been avoiding getting it looked at because the dealership in Monrovia suggested that it would be expensive to fix/replace. I called on Monday morning, explained the situation and Dan said "no problem, bring it in." I dropped off my car before lunch and received a call a few hours later. "I don't think there is anything wrong with your system other than the battery in the remote". Stupid I know but I was so relieved! My system works perfectly.
