I came to car audio xperts three years ago to have a full audio system installed in my brand new Highlander. As with many new cars, getting rid of the factory head unit was not an option. Sam was helpfully from the get go, and make several recommendations with brands at different price points I ultimately decided to have all factory speakers replaced, as well as the addition of a mutli-channel amp and kicker subwoofer. I came back to do this review because what has truly impressed me is that I have never had a problem with the audio system since getting it installed. With every sound system I've had in the past, it's always something needing to be tweaked or replaced, but I have never had to think about this other than to enjoy the amazing sound. The most embarrassing part of this entire situation is not even the failed service. It is watching the owner pushing 60 publicly unravel in the review responses instead of acting like a professional adult running a business. The owner went from saying me or my exs money was never spent at the facility, to saying transaction never existed, to suddenly claiming only my ex boyfriend was serviced there When there was no details given to him regarding my ex. The story continuously changes depending on which part of the review he is trying to defend. At the same time, the owner openly admitted he does not even properly remember me as a customer, yet somehow remembers my ex that I never mentioned any details about, felt confident enough to publicly call me a liar, call me a "Karen," and to "STOP LYING," and invent stories involving an ex boyfriend whose information was never even provided in the first place. projection at its best I guess I paid with MY money, from MY bank account, for MY car. I came into the shop alone both times. I paid the $35 troubleshooting fee, the issue was never fixed, and another shop fixed it afterward for free. Those are the actual facts. Never came in with my ex , never mentioned any sort of details, bank is in my name, Car is under my name. There are literally no ties at all to my ex besides his recommendation to this incompetent shop. What is especially concerning is publicly making factual accusations about a customer while lacking accurate records or certainty about the situation. King of Sounds was ultimately able to properly diagnose and fix the issue without charging . This owner will charge you $35 just to try to sell you more equipment and not even actually trouble your shoot any of the current settings or current equipment that you have And say you want free things Because you paid him to troubleshoot and expected him to do something after paying him for a service. Honestly, any serious business owner with professionalism, emotional maturity, and proper customer records would have simply addressed the service issue professionally. Instead, the owner chose to have what looks like a public emotional meltdown over a review because hes embarrassed himself by his own short comings and has to make things up when proven wrong. That response says far more about the owner's ego, lack of professionalism, and inability to handle criticism. Needed to replaced my factory subwoofer on my 03 Lexus LX470 that a previous shop I took it to previously wasn't able to. I visited the shop and spoke to Sam and explained my situation. Luckily for me I had my old factory subwoofer out (from the previous shop) and showed it to him. He had an aftermarket one in stock, and would try to test it first to see if its an issue with my amp or any issues before installing it. I've had dash cams for two cars installed here, a new head-unit installed, four speakers and an amp checked, and two speakers replaced here. Three different vehicles, four different visits. I brought in a sub and amp for installation. I talked to Sam and I asked for advice in the right amp to power my sub woofer because I wanted to slap at the fullest potential possible. Wow. Attitude & unwillingness to give advice. Turns down business. Horrible experience and I got recommended. I walk into store, doesn't greet or say anything till I walked up to counter 5 minutes later. Customer he's talking to wanted to do work and Sam turns down because it's too much work. I go on to talk about lights I wanted installed and booked an appointment. Bought some led bulbs from him and tried putting them on the same day. Didn't fit. Took it back to Sam following morning and I ask him for advice and that the bulbs didn't fit, etc. Had my grill off, bumper off, etc. All access. He says, "these are for your truck. You probably don't know how to put them on." Smh I said, you try one and see. All he had to do was plug and play. All exposed. He didn't want to. I said, I have an appointment tomorrow.
