The service is not up to par. I went in for National Slider day which is supposed to offer you two free sliders of your choice which explicitly saids it on their website. The cashier only allowed us to get the original ones. Fine but when we got them, the beef was super dried like they've been sitting on the grill for hours. Nothing moist about them. What can be said about White Castle that hasn't already been said? I've been going to the corner of Northern and Bell Blvd. in Bayside for more than forty years for the occasional "belly bomber" fix. I love the place, even as the critics of this fine institution sneer at the mere mention of the name, and babble on haughtily about "mystery meat" and "empty calories" and whatnot. So the place isn't anyone's idea of haute cuisine and it certainly won't endear you to your cardiologist. The burgers (when did they start calling them 'sliders'?) are simply delicious, the fried clams a throwback to Howard Johnson's heyday, and the onion rings the best this side of Coney Island. A good meal (six or seven burgers, the aforementioned fried clams and a Coke) is just plain delicious, even if it does have enough salt to give Mike Bloomberg a stroke. Any responsible adult (which I still hope to grow into, although at 62 I appear to be running out of road) will acknowledge that White Castle shouldn't be an everyday stop, but as one of life's occasional culinary pleasures, it is hard to beat! read more

Ah... White Castle Number 7. If you know your fast food history, White Castle was the first-ever Fast-Food joint (not Mickey D's), and this one on Bell is the 7th White Castle location ever erected. It's been around for quite some time, and I've been lovin' this place ever since I moved to Bayside many years ago. Not only is it open 24 hours, it is a great place to just buy in bulk and just eat throughout the week (they last quite a while). I ate a crave case when I was in high school, but those days are long gone; I usually get about 6 sliders and a medium coke. You can get their cheeseburger sliders if you want, but I prefer the plain ones in this case. I think the squareness makes it more fun to eat. Also, though it is cooked on a griddletop, it's more or less steamed on top of a bed of onions, therefore not needing the burger flip yet still cooking evenly throughout. Anyways, the staff works fast even though they are constantly busy, what with the drive-thru and the front counter always having lines and all. The parking lot is tiny, but there are plenty of street parking on 213th street (not on Bell Blvd, that place is always busy). If you want a quick fix or a snackaroo, then this is the place to do it. Good location, good service, decent enough burgers. You don't have to be a Korean or an Indian to like this place. read more

Came here late at night through the drive thru, after waiting in front of the window for 10 minutes after ordering, without the young man at the window even acknowledging us. He very rudely says, it's busy so we asked for our money back and he again very rudely says fine, it's busy anyway so I don't care. After which his coworker moved him aside and gave us our food. I can understand it's busy, but there's no excuse for how he behaved and not to at least let people know it'll be a few more minutes. I went to White Castle on December 22,2017, took out my order. The hamburgers were horrible. Like cardboard. I called corporate and told the representative of my experience. They had the general manager call me "NIni' who assured me that if I came back she would make it right. Just ask for her. I have been back to White Castle 3 times since December 22 each time asking for the general manager. Who was never in. Yesterday I decided to call before I attempted to go again. A very rude girl on the phone told me I should come in the morning when the manager is in. I explained I have a job making it impossible to come in the morning and her answer was oh well!! I called corporate again yesterday. Customer service is the worst. The rep on the phone wasn't to pleasant either. I guess no one cares anymore about quality service anymore. The managers don't speak English here and there is constant buzzing in the entire store. As a company it would be nice if they had a bit more variety on their menu. Healthier options would be great. They do have the grilled chicken and veggie sliders which are both delicious. The veggie sliders are better than they look. They just have a green look to them that may turn people off unnecessarily. Maybe more steamed items vs fried. Like they can steam the corn-dogs nibblers instead of frying them. I personally would have loved having the option to choose between fried shrimp and steamed shrimp when the shrimp nibblers were around, but they took them off the menu. Maybe they can do this to the fish nibblers instead but frying the seafood is safer and faster so maybe they are holding back because it could be unprofitable and time consuming. The smoothies are AMAZING and they are made from fresh fruit. I wish they let us mix the peach, banana and strawberry vs just peach or just strawberry banana. They could do this by using the peach syrup and the strawberries and bananas. Salads would be nice, don't girls love salads? Also soup for the winter shouldn't be too hard to do. Like chicken noodle? I'm guessing this may be dangerous because it can scald people if handled improperly but I'm sure they can find a way. read more
