Chain establishment that never disappoints other than having a bad experience with a worker. But not today, I had a pleasant experience at this location. Normally they are pretty busy, but I was able to get in and out. I utilized the drive-thru. They have an AI assisted ordering system. It was easy to use, although you have to speak clearly and loudly in order for it to pick up what you are requesting. The food was hot and fresh. Located on Natural Bridge and 170. Private parking lot. Dine in , online and drive thru available . Online order is how I ordered today. Online was easy navigation. Still expensive but a better deal then walk in pricing. 30 sliders with jalapeño cheese was 37 bucks . Also ordered a strawberry banana smoothie that was absolutely delightful for an additional $4 more . New menu items are sloppy Joe sliders and Mac and cheese bites. I'll try that next visit for sure. Yes I'm from Chgo of course I recommend White Castle it's a staple there! The 1 thing they don't have & don't know WHY since this is a family owned business all these years....they don't have the Dusseldorf mustard, if you ask for a White Castle with everything in Chgo you get onions, pickles & the Dusseldorf mustard....but any White Castle is a great place to eat! The only good thing about this experience is that the food was made hot and fresh. I went through the drive-through around 10:15 AM, and it probably took about 30 minutes from entering to exiting the drive-through to get my order. The young man working the speaker box could not answer most of my questions and finally just asked me to pull around to the window stating that he had my order. It took about 10 minutes to be the car at the window, and it was at that moment that I realized he did not have my order. I had to put the order in again. I ordered a breakfast toast sandwich made us a combo with french fries and an orange juice. My husband ordered a four slider meal with onion chips as a side and a lemonade with no ice. As you can see, my breakfast toast sandwich was not toasted. The egg and bacon inside of it was prepared fine, but it was so little food that I should have ordered it as a double and next time (if there is a next time, add a different location) I will. it was clear that the staff does not begin cooking an order until the customer is at the window and has paid. My meal came with tater tots despite me clarifying with young man that I indeed one at french fries my husband's meal came with onion rings, despite ordering onion chips. Understanding that it was going to take a while to fill our order, I offered to pull up into a spot and wait for the food to be ready. The young man taking orders told me that was unnecessary to just continue to wait at the window. I exaggerate not when I say that I spent a good 15 minutes at least at that window. In fact, if I am exaggerating at all in this feedback, it is in saying that it only took 30 minutes to get through the drive-through. read more

I'm excited to see a white castle and haven't had this in a long time. I Came here for a quick drive thru order, as I just landed from Chicago, and I needed some food. Very big mistake. I waited in line about 10 mins (only 2 cars in front of me). When i made it to the window, the lady associate at the window was on her phone texting as I remained parked at the window. I saw that my order was ready, next to the lady at the window, as she was texting on her phone. She finally gave me my food, and she said, "Here ya go," and I was on my way. No smile, no greeting, nothing. I understand this is fast food, but at least greet me. I was close to my hotel, so I waited to eat my food until I got settled in at my hotel. The food was luke warm at best, the fries were hard and old and missing salt, and the containers of food weren't even filled. They were partially filled. Waited ten minutes at counter for someone to acknowledge me. It's 1130am, lunch rush but only two people behind me. The front counter guy is mopping the floor behind the counter and along the prep lines. Doesn't acknowledge the three of us standing there. Guy finally puts the mop down then heads to the register to take my order. I order, get my change and the guy hands me my drink cup. That's when it hit me he never changed out his mopping gloves for a fresh set approaching the counter. As luck would have it, a health inspector was in line before me and asked to see the manager for an inspection. Not sure if they saw him coming and decided to get a quick mopping in but it's ironic because the manager realized the employee did not refresh his gloves as I witnessed. White Castle is generally good...but apparently not the Natural Bridge store. It's quite evident if you are white, this is not the store for you to visit. But, I guess the racial divide in St. Louis works both ways, from what I've seen. It's really sad to see when I visit. Anyway, the drive-thru employee found more entertainment on her phone than in speaking to me while I waited for my order. Even wished her a Happy Thanksgiving for the following day. She didn't care, she needed to attend to her phone. Truthfully, I've never seen a drive-thru employee have a phone in their hands while running the drive-thru. But..... They make the cheeseburgers you want in spite of yourself. The service is poor to average, the cleanliness I prefer not to think about, and the quality is, well - you're there 'cause you can't resist them so it is what it is. I wouldn't make this a regular thing y'all but it's good for a late night return-from-the-airport drive-through fix when you can't slow down to eat or just don't want to pay ridiculous terminal prices to fill the gap left by airline pretzels or those tiny crumbly crackers made of ginger-dust. A little while back, flew into St. Louis (Lambert) and thought I'd try White Castle after leaving the airport. Unfortunately, the manager who decided to take my order had a chip on his shoulder. At first, I didn't know what the issue was, then I realized my wife and I were the only non African-Americans in the place. The manager, who was African-American of small stature, made it clear I was not welcome. (Seems like he had a Napoleon complex going). Anyway, the order was wrong and the food was terrible. I live in a state with no White Castle so I get to indulge maybe once a year when I travel. I used the drive through. Dining room was closed due to the coronavirus. Ordering was easy. I got my food in the average time. The cashier was polite and asked if I needed any condiments. I got my food and a handful of ketchup packets. The food was as expected. Pulled to first window (where I had to stop and pay about a month ago) and was motioned to go to the first window... inconsistently gets real confusing. Lady who took my money was extremely rude. it's honestly kind of impressive that they get our order wrong literally every time we've ever been through the drive-through. in spite of this we do eat there fairly often just because it's one of the few restaurants on Natural Bridge that has never given us food poisoning (which should be a small thing to achieve but here we are). make sure you don't leave the drive-through until you've checked your food to make sure everything is right. read more

Oh my goodness , what can I say ? Everyone at this White Castle was friendly, greeted us with a smile , and Anitra she was the Bomb!!!! Anitra was keeping the place clean and everyone was cleaning and you can tell everyone takes pride in their job . Anitra brought our food on a tray to the table with everything we needed to boot!! The accuracy was impeccable and she was very accommodating to add cheese to our 2 number #7s . I have never felt so welcomed as I did here during my whole trip from Arizona to here in Missouri !!! I went to this White Castle last night in search of some much needed nourishment. I ordered my usual: a number six with a sprite and a chicken and waffles slider. For me, the chicken and waffle slider is like a delectable dessert one receives after slamming a hearty white castles meal. I compare eating it to the feeling a marathon runner gets after they finish a race and are wrapped in one of those warming space blankets. Anyway, last night I was horrified when I bit into my chicken and waffle slider and found not a single bacon bit or country gravy. I've ordered this same thing at 10+ White Castle locations and it ALWAYS comes with bacon bits and country gravy. Without those two things, the slider is pretty lackluster. The rest of the food was good, but I was VERY disappointed in the quality of the chicken and waffle slider. read more
