An order of fish nibblers made with Alaska Pollock, coated with a savory bread crumbs, and a taste of actual fish. Chicken rings with tender, white meat chicken on the inside, and crispy crunch on the outside. Hash brown nibblers were bite-sized hash browns cooked to crispy perfection. Is this WC still open for business or have they closed down? I called on a Saturday and got voice mail. Onto the food. The burgers are a mix of soggy and decent. I had a vanilla shake and it was very good. Onion rings and fries were just ok. Food prices high for what you get. Go to Wendys instead. Service was ok. We ordered the 6 chicken rings combo meal (comes with a small drink and fries), 2 double cheese sliders, and a Belgian waffle slider. Service was very slow and when we received our food, the food was cold. The only hot item we received was the fries and that was because they forgot about it. The staff were nice and friendly. The worst White Castle in this fast food chain is located in Brooklyn, New York on Empire Boulevard. I took my Mom through what should have been a two to three minute drive thru that lasted 20 minutes. There were only two cars in front of us and when we pulled around we noticed the workers were playing around with the Manager on duty. There was no one for them to service inside the restaurant and all of the food was cooked. I started to wonder if I was on MTV's Boiling Point. All we ordered was a few cheeseburgers with French fries. For as long as we waited we could have just gone to a diner to get a better quality burger for the same price. Walk straight to the counter and order as many crispy jalapeño chicken sliders as you think you can stuff in your face without choking. The cashier was surprisingly nice and happy. I was skeptical at first BC I was not a fan of the regular beef sliders, but wow was I blown away by the tastiness of their chicken sliders. We waited approx 5-10 minutes for our order. They were piping hot, crispy on the outside, and super moist on the inside. The bun was fluffy and soft, and the crispy fried jalapeños on top added a nice kick. It's always clean, there might be someone holding the door open, asking for change, but that's to be expected. Times are hard. I have been eating at this White Castle for over 22 years and counting. I have many memories here as a kid, teen and adult. My favorite was the sack of ten half cheese (mix cheese flavors) and the other half regular white castle all no ketchup. I like to put my own ketchup. However, I am more so liking chicken so I get the chicken breast sandwich with cheese and mozzarella sticks. The fish sandwich is good here too if you prefer seafood. I know, I know...we all have heard about how awful White Castle food is, but I have been a superfan of their tasty little sliders and shakes (oh, their shakes are the BEST of any of the fast food chains). BUT -- whatever has changed during covid with this particular White Castle is so bad that even a superfan like me who could eat a dozen sliders at a sitting won't order from this place any more. First of, one of the great things about White Castles is that almost all of their locations are open 24 hrs....except this one. In fact, unlike all other restaurants that are offering delivery up until usually aroundl 9 or 10 pm -- 11pm on the weekends, this place closes at 5pm?!! What's that about? Good luck if you get hungry at like 6 or 7 or 8pm at night like you know...normal people. But the worst criticism that I am leveling at this place is that they DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE SLIDERS!! I bought their 20 box of regular sliders (not the cheese ones -- I never like the cheese sliders) and when I started on my first few sandwiches, I couldn't figure out why these things didn't taste like the sliders I have been eating throughout my teens and thereafter for my whole adult life. Finally by my forth slider, I knew something was seriously wrong and so I opened up a sandwich only to find that there was where there was supposed to be a good dollop of ketchup, turned out to be the most miniscule drop of ketchup that was so small as to only be enough to leave some red color on the bun, no actual amount of ketchup that you could even taste. Same with the pickles -- well, let me correct that -- sliders USED to have 3 pickle slices on them, this place cut that down to a SINGLE, paper-thin pickle slice. Opening up a few more sliders and it was the same with all of them...not enough ketchup other than a smear of red color on the bun and the thinnest single pickle slice you ever saw. On a few sliders, there wasn't even a whole pickle slice, but a broken little piece of a pickle slice. Turns out, every slider in that box was the same anemic excuse for what a REAL White Castle is supposed to be and more importantly, what it is supposed to taste like. I mean, how much money do they think they can skim off the lowly slider without ruining the unique flavor combination of the few ingredient that make up that great little sandwich? Evidently they think no ketchup and one pickle slice cut so thin it looks transparent is the way to go. And they are doing this to loyal customers who are buying their BIG 20 and 30 count box of sliders. Have some respect, dudes. I am hoping this is a problem only at this WC and not something that the corporate headquarters is doing across the entire chain. I say, to start, avoid disappointment and DON'T order from this particular place. Wow! I never felt like this about any other restaurant before. I'm not the White Castle kind of guy when it comes to eating fast food. The company I was with wanted it more than I did. I instantly knew why I will NEVER go back to White Castle again. Especially this one in particular. So, as everyone else. I ordered my food at the drive thru. Once I was done I followed the line of cars that was in front of me. After waiting for the persons in front to take their order. It was my turn to pull up and pay. Once I gave them my card and I was waiting for them to return. There was a ad showing onion rings and instantly I wanted it. The ad worked. The lady return and I was only moments away from getting my onion rings. Let's just say this remove the ads at the window if we can't add to our order. I as the lady as she return my card to me. "May I add onion rings to my order, I just saw them and I would like to have them." As she was about to make the order, her manager walked up and said "we don't have to for people trying to make a order at the window. Tell them it's too late to take there order." At that point I was deeply disappointed in the way the manager told her to tell me no. I have went to other restaurant such as Wendy's and order at the window and it has never been a problem. This White Castle has been in the neighborhood forever. I have never driven through the driveway and experience such a long wait for six items. Now it's a possibility that because I had the impossible burger and the veggie burger it took longer but I was literally falling asleep in the car. Nonetheless the staff member who took my order was very professional, personable, and she made certain to get my order correct.
