Back on track, I ordered a #1 meal at the drive-thru. I pulled around to the drive-up window and paid my tab. In the blink of an eye, I was rewarded with my meal - 4 delicious burgers with everything, an order of fries and a Dr. Pepper drink. I didn't waste any time heading out of there and on to my destination. Once I arrived, I tore into the french fries, then the little slider burgers disappeared almost as quickly. I don't know how it can take over 20 minutes to get 10 burgers. And then they still come cold. This place is unbelievable.

I live in The area and I frequent this white castle. Not sure what has happened. Normally the ladies in the drive-through are very very pleasant. and my orders is always on point however this evening I went through the drive-through and ordered a Craver case with cheese and mustard I did get the case but no cheese no mustard. It's on my receipt so when I called back to the restaurant, a guy answered the phone as I made them aware that my burgers did not have cheese or mustard on them and my receipt stated that he hung up on me and said I wasn't charged so then I called back to the restaurant and asked for his name. he said, what do you need my name for I said, because I was stating that my burger my order was not the same as my receipt stated he said ma'am, you wasn't charge charged for your cheese. He was very rude, and I proceeded to ask for his click he basically refused to give it to me and then end towards the end he gave it to me and I advised him that I will be calling corporate. Don't know where it came from not sure but Andre has very poor customer service. read more

What is happening. This used to be my fav location. The last three tubes I ordered everything cheese burgers with extra extra sauce and received minimal sauce. Another time I received ketchup and mustard squirted on my burgers, which you know taste nothing like the "extra sauce" mixture. And then the last time I got no sauce whatsoever extra pickles, hardly any onions. There was nobody else in line y'all. I keep asking if there's a certain way I'm supposed to order the sauce mixture. And every time I go I get told something different. Call it extra sauce. Call it the next ketchup and mustard. Just say you want everything on the burgers with extra everything. We went to this location with a very large order of a crave case of 30 sliders, as well as 2 of the Impossible sliders. The man working at the front was very friendly and gave excellent customer service. He cooked the Impossible sliders on a separate grill, away from the regular sliders for us. The other employees got the rest of our order together as quickly as they could, and I was sure to tip them for their great service. The restaurant looked clean and well maintained too. read more

drive thru takes forever if there is anyone in line. .

I have been going to this location for years and never really had any issues. I would say the last 5 -6 times has been pretty bad. This Thursday though has been the worst. Bought a 20 pack of sliders. Got home and about 12 of the hamburgers looked like they were smashed in the boxes. The bottom buns were all destroyed. I asked for everything, and they all just had pickles only, no sauce. (The last 4 times, the same thing) I cannot believe that management would let these go out. Ended up throwing them out. Very disappointed that I won't ever go back to this location. read more

What to say about a franchise that's been around forever? Well, at this particular location I can say this...the employees suck. It doesn't matter if I go in the afternoon, evening, or late at night-anytime I have stopped at this location the people taking my orders talk like uneducated buffoons. They are confused by the simplest requests. "Can you be sure there are no pickles on anything I'm about to order please?" "What do you mean?" What do I mean? I mean pay attention you mentally challenged ignoramus! No pickles means no pickles. The food is what it has always been. We went to the Metro pkwy/Groesbeck location on 4/8/23 at one of the busiest times - 12:30 p.m. The young lady who took our order and gave us our order was so professional and friendly! We waited just a few minutes - even with cars in front of us - and the order was perfect. Nice to see people who enjoy their job and are very good at it! read more

Three cars in drive thru no one inside so I went in. Young man cleaning dining area which is was good to see. The gentleman at the counter greeted me with a very happy demeanor, big smile and friendly good evening. The employees in the kitchen were hopping ,everyone was super busy. I got the number one meal, 4 sliders, French fry, and of course a Coke. The food was hot and the fries were not soggy. The sliders were typical White Castle sautéed onion, pickle and slathered with ketchup/mustard mix on the steamed bun. The buns were a little mushy but not gross. Will go back again. read more

But it was good while it lasted and I'm glad that White Castle serves their sandwiches in tiny portion sizes. If White Castle offered degrees, you can call me Dr. When visiting relatives in Detroit, my rack is close to 8-mile, but I'll drive the 10 miles to visit the White Castle joint on 16-mile and Groesbeck. Hands down it's the best in quality and service. It's worth it to avoid the joint on 11-mile and Gratiot. The food is cooked okay, but by the time you're served, you could've ordered and eaten at the Groesbeck restaurant. Anybody who's been to the 11-mile joint knows I'm serious. Made the mistake of ordering doordash pick up. Waited in line for 35 minutes to get up to the window for the girl to tell us they were out of what we ordered & she never even offered for us to get anything else only a refund. She closed the window & never opened it again. I sat waiting for a refund for 40 more minutes & they just kept ignoring us like they expected us to drive off without getting $25 back. I don't care how gross you may think this place is, you can deny it's delicious magnetism. I'm here once a year, and yes, once a year may be enough, but that once a year visit to this specific location is what dreams are made of. Those perfect little burgers, that completely melt in your mouth in the two or three bites it takes, are oh so good. It's like burger sushi. Yes, that's right. This White Castle is the best around. They treat you good and call you sir and ma'am. Very respectful crew working there. They even say thank you when giving you your order. Seems like the same employees have been there for a long time. Very rare to find this type of service in a fast food place anymore. By the way, the Impossible burger is the best. My Husband had a $10.00 gift card. His order came to $15.75. He gave the Girl at the window a $10. bill. When she handed Him his order She handed Him another gift card for $4.25. When He asked where his change from the $10 cash was she replied "on the gift card". He asked why he couldn't have the $4.25 in change from His $10.00 bill, she said it was "Company Policy" to put it back on the gift card that was used. So I have never had such awful service as this place. The problem is the Orignial Egg and Cheese Breakfast sandwich is so good I would eat there much more if the employees would actually get it right. Three times in a row they continually want to give me the sausage egg and cheese. I tell them three times..it is the white castle with egg and cheese. I fault the manager and owner for not CLARIFYIng to these employees that they actually have that sandwich. Pisses me off as it is my birthday and I requested my boyfriend get me a couple of my favorites. Of course I sent him the text verbiage exactly what it was and a picture and yet again give the sausage and egg sammie. I am actually gonna want my money back and am writing the headquarters. Definitely don't go to this location. Also, don't order through the app because I was told that this store doesn't deal with the app so they don't have to honor what it says. I ordered a special that was running for a 19.99 crave case and paid for it. When I went in the store the cashier told me that I still owed 7.46. I told her it was prepaid and the special I paid for, even showed her the receipt. She went and got the manager, who was by far the rudest person I have ever encountered at a fast food establishment. This woman flat out told me I owed 7.46 and it didn't matter what the app said and what I paid. She then told me she had worked at White Castle for over 20 years and knows that they don't offer that special for the crave cases. I tried to show her my receipt and she said it didn't matter what it said because she will only go by what the register said. She refused to honor what was already paid for so I asked for my money back. She told me she can't do that either because I would have to dispute it with the app. She said it wasn't the store's problem and it could take at least 3 days to get my money back once I disputed with the app. So, I was told I had to pay the 7.46 to get the crave case or walk out and hope I get my money back. The manager proceeded to argue with me for 20 minutes before she decided to investigate into it. Even the cashier at that point told me I was right! Finally after another 10 minutes or so she came back to the register with the original crave case I ordered, refusing to make me another one even though it sat there for 30 minutes, and told me that I was right technically so she was going to "do me a favor" because I was right and she was going to give me the case even though its going to short the register for the night. She then told me she has a boss that she has to answer to and explain why she had to screw up the register and for future reference if this were onto ever happen again that I would have to pay whatever the register told me to pay no matter what the app said. Well, I won't have to worry about a next time because I certainly won't be going back. This White Castle needs to work on making sure their employees, especially managers know how to do customer service. read more

However this jen manager needs to be retrained on costumer service. She was wrong and when proved that she got angry. Yes there was a confrontation and it does take two to tango however she was ready to Tango before I even walked in the door. I am in the food industry myself so I know how difficult people can be and I know that the customer is not always right regardless of what your beliefs are you still treat people with common courtesy and decency you don't discriminate and call names and your poor employees have to calm you down. To each and every one of those employees thank you very much for trying your best to make things right I hope that you guys do you get the proper thank you that you deserve.
