Great service, fast, and the young lady running the register genuinely cares for customers

When you have a crave you have to settle it. No matter what state I'm in if I see a White Castle and I have a crave to settle I stop in and get some sliders. Came here as a last resort, wanted to get a late dinner for my hubby (NEARBY WHITECASTLE) however that particular restaurant ran out of certain items. At this point I'm just wanting to grab anything that is open.... So Whitecaste it was! 11:13pm I placed my order (while in the parking lot) by then the line had about 5-7 cars in front of me. This was kinda alarming however I figured they were just "a little backed up". After about the 15-20minute mark I wanted to leave altogether but guess what! I couldn't because of the dividers.... Smh! I was beyond over it and needed to get out of line, I have my 9month baby with me, I needed to make other stops before our great Ohio stores star to close lol. If I'd had known this food run would be this long of an wait and drive thru from HELL! I would have NEVER given this place a second thought. Fast forward around the 35min mark I finally pulled up to the window. In my head at the very bare minimum I'm expecting a (I'm so sorry for your wait) or SOMETHING. No I didn't get any of that. Okay whatever strike . So I pay for the order I'd been in the line so long and again have my awake 9 month old baby who's becoming a wee bit fussy and it's getting even later and I have other errands to run. So my better judgement I just pull off and head home a 20minuet drive mind you.... Of course what's fast food if you don't try to blindly nibble on something in your bag? So I indeed do and what do you know, it's cold! How is that? Okay okay strike three... I get home empty the bags. I'm missing food. I call the store ask to speak with a manager he says speaking and before I could get another word out he says oh yeah we forgot your item.... I simply told him I'm not coming back because I'd been in that line too long and I do not live in that area... He says well the only way for a refund I needed to bring the food back.... Okay this guy is clearly being a a@! hole and wants trouble so I ask for corporate he says 1800 crave I'm registering that it isn't 10 digits by then he hangs up on me. So I called back several times to no avail then finally decided no your not gonna just brush me off after messing up our order and wasting our time. So I drive back with food and receipt. the line is EVEN longer this time. I sit in it for a couple minutes then I decide to walk up to the window. (I apologize to the car at the window of course) and hand the food to the manager (BOBBY) and says okay I want my refund now. He goes oh I need the receipt so I get the receipt and toss it at him because why are you playing games 1) I just was hear 2) I have the receipt in an email all he needed was the order number and amount. So by then he snatches the food, takes the receipt and slams the window in my face. I cannot believe this is the kind of people they actually hire and allow to be called a manager so I go back to my car. Locate the 24/7 call center number explain exactly what happened. The Rep submits it in but can't tell me when someone will be in contact or when I'll receive the refund. I reluctantly head back home again. I decide to contact my hubby while he's at work and explain to him what had just transpired. He immediately is extremely pissed of the treatment a grown man showed me with our child in the car rightfully so... He then contacts the call center they do the same thing (not being very helpful) spoke two a manager at the CC and she actually disconnected our call lol how comical so on our fourth call we decided that the CC Reps wouldn't be much of an immediate help either and I should just drive back wait in line as long as needed and have someone from the CC make themselves a useful witness to this insane experience. So that is exactly what we did it was a an additional 35minutes in that line and now 2:30am! I finally pulled up with my hubby and CC Rep on the Bluetooth and I advised this to BOBBY he then says with a straight face that he had contacted the police and they would be arriving (yeah because a woman with a infant child is sooo threatening ok) I say politely please issue my refund. He proceeds to say "I need the receipt I couldn't believe that he was asking for a receipt when he literally took it and slammed the window. He lies and says I handed it back to you I really couldn't believe that he was going these lengths to NOT give me our refund I just couldn't believe it. So I make sure the CC Rep was hearing this and documenting everything. I then tell him I have the email confirmation and I give him the order number and amount. He had no choice then to do what any good manager should do in this unnecessary situation and that is just give the customer their money back. Needless to say we will absolutely never return to this location. And I am making sure that Bobby has to answer for his poor service skills. read more

Notoriously SLOW! Approximately 17 min. Thru drive thru. You would think that White Castle Corporate would get their act together, but Never. Not No How, Not No Way! Yes, White Castle Hamburgers are delicious. People Crave them. No complaints with the food One complaint though. Why do the outer buildings look so Shabby? Why can't they freshen up the outside? Throw some paint on the outer building. Clean up the parking lot. Just because they are located in a shabby neighborhood they don't have to look shabby too. Show some Pride. If you clean up your spot maybe your neighbors will do the same. Take a lesson from McDonalds. They almost always landscape and keep the area looking good. Be a good neighbor and a good corporate citizen. After all you can afford it. read more

EXTREMELY SLOW drive thru. I've timed them several times and they average 5 minutes per car. I believe the industry standard is somewhere around 1-1/2 minutes per car. Yesterday the second car in line in front of me took over 9 minutes to get their food. When it was my turn at the window, I sat there 3 minutes and no one acknowledged me. I drove off. This location gets 5 stars for the people that were working that day. Super nice. But the location itself looks kind of sad. And they got my order partially wrong which was not the end of the world but I was a little bit disappointed plus they were out of lettuce that day. So it just felt like a slightly neglected / unloved franchise / location. read more

I only gave 1 star because zero or half a star was not an option. The wait was too long, didn't want cheese but got cheese, fries were under cooked and cold as ice, onion chips were scalding hot. When we got up to the window and paid then we got to watch 3 employees stand around and do absolutely nothing! The mood was pitiful! The atmosphere sucked! Good location but dining room was closed after midnight. We ordered from the app and had no way to pick up our order other than walk up to the drive thru window. They either ignored my knocking on the locked front door, or could not hear me. The sliders were cooked well. The American with the pickle tasted the best. The smoked cheese gets old fast. The jalapeño cheese has a nice kick to it. The desserts were fresh. The buttercake was a good size and crumbly sweet. The fudge covered cheesecake was small and tasted too much of fudge. I order 3 bacon, egg, cheese on toast and a large black coffee. Zack responds: Do you want bacon or sausage? Clearly he didn't hear me. I start to repeat my order but he doesn't let me finish and says to drive to the window. I try to order again. Zack cuts me off and angrily yells at me to drive to the window. Being greeted by a bullet proof glass is not the first impression that I would have liked. The burgers had no flavor and tasted like wet cardboard. The saving grace of this was the bacon. Bacon can save a lot of things. read more

We came here to have breakfast with my parents and it wasn't a very good experience from the start. My dad ordered food first but then had a bunch of add ons (such as hot water) while I was placing an order and when he was picking up his order at the window. I perceived the register associate (team member #409) to not be very customer service oriented, and I heard her say something snarky about my dad. I don't think she would have said something if she knew I could understand her, or heard her, or realized that I am related to the person she just said something about. Otherwise food was fine and consistent with my expectations. Team member #409 didn't offer any sauces for my chicken rings. I didn't realize that until I went to my table to begin eating. I didn't feel like getting back in line or going to the next (but empty) window to get an "add on." I would not come back to this location again unless it was of my parents' choosing. read more

Slow service and dirty as hell, this is the worst White Castle I've been to. Nearly every table in the restaurant had crap on it left over from the people who had eaten previously. As someone else stated, the bullet proof glass at the register makes you feel like you're in the ghetto. It wasn't a good experience coming to this particular White Castle. Okay, I just moved up here to Ohio. I had heard of White Castle and it is obviously a 'fast food legend'. So decided to stop in and check it out. Glad I did. Now I can say, been there, done that. Not sure that I could make this a normal staple. But, I will say if you are coming home late at night from a bar, this would be a gold mine. All of that being said, they are not cooked traditionally so it is a little out of the norm. The food was not bad. The service was a little on the slow side but okay. This was the worst food experience I have ever had. It was disgusting. The people were nice and service was good but the food made me feel skeptical. The sliders had a burger that I would not even classify as one. It was no thicker than a quarter, had one pickle and some onions. They could at least put some ketchup or mustard on it but they don't. After I ate I did not feel so great and I have a pretty strong stomach usually. I would never eat there again. Also when I was pouring my drink the drink machine sprayed food coloring all over my hand and pants which stained both. This in all was terrible. Going through the Drive Thru was a big disappointment. I only ordered 6 slyders, bag of fries, 6 pc chicken rings and loaded fries. Made us home with half my order. Funny that I want to write a review about this home town favorite. For the best breakfast sandwich, you must have WC's egg, cheese, sausage on toast. I get my egg scrambled.
