Just your typical White Castle, you're out late and not much is open. So what do you do? Get you some White Castle. I happen to like this location best because just about every time I go, the drive thru is fast most of the time compared to the other ones I've been to. They also have the friendliest employees I've encountered as well. Food is always fresh and warm. I get the double cheeseburger sliders combo when I go to White Castle, 2 cheese cups for dipping the fries and the burgers and can't leave out the Big Red. I plan on returning many more times when I'm the area late at night. This is in my top favorite late night food. I cannot remember when I was treated so rudely than when I stopped in here. I deal with customers in my business all day pretty much every day and I ALWAYS do what I can to make them happy. This place does not follow that path. They apparently have a promotion going on with a flyer in the window. A sack of 10 cheeseburgers for like 7 something. I went inside and the person behind the counter (no name tag so I don't know his name. He was short, stocky and a little chubby) I asked him how much a sack of 10 regular hamburgers would be (I can't eat cheese) He said something like 11 something. I asked him if I could get the deal, I saw in the window just without the cheese since I can't have that. He out right flat out said no, he couldn't do that. When I asked him why he said that the promotion was for cheeseburgers. I said why don't you just right it up that way but leave the cheese off since I can't have it. HE SAID HE HAS TO PUT THE CHEESE ON THE BURGER. ROFLMAO. Just too funny. I have to pay extra money because of my allergies. Way to take care of the customer White Castle. I left and went next door to Wendy's where they were more than happy to take my money. I shall not be returning to this establishment. This is a great place to begin your weight loss journey. I would recommend arriving at 4 a.m. after a bender with your friends, wherein the 1+hour wait time preps you for your upcoming day in which you will not want to eat anything else for 36 hours afterward (the food poisoning is a great way to lose seven pounds in a single day: do not worry when you run out of liquid diarrhea and blood starts to come out after your seventh bowel movement. This is completely normal). While they prefer you calling ahead when ordering 70 White Castles, they will actually fulfill them without notice. You will merely get yelled at by each staff member, which you wholeheartedly deserve for eating there to begin with. Totally worth every penny. Really slow. Pulled in the drive thru at about 10pm, waited for about 5 minutes until a worker came out to tell us we'd have better luck inside. Parked and got our order taken immediately, however we waited over 20 minutes for our order. Now I will admit we did have a pretty big order, a 20 pack of hamburgers, 3 large sides and a big red and chocolate shake, however there were about 6-7 people back there. After a while, went up to complain only to learn that they'd made the order, they just failed to call it out. Girl up front was very apologetic and sweet, however our food was cold. It's fast food, I get it! It took almost 30 minutes to get an order for 2 people, "dining in". Everything was cold. Have you tasted a White Castle fish sandwich cold? It tastes like what you'd think something from the bottom of an aquarium would taste like! They were very understaffed and seemed to prioritize the drive thru. Just don't eat in. I repeat, don't eat inside. read more

They serve food out of freezers that don't work, so the frozen food you're getting is already thawed out by the time they are dropped in fryer. They have black mold in most of the freezer doors and most of the machinery to make your food and the soda machine where the soda comes out. They also have roaches in the dry stock. The shake machine is never cleaned so you're getting spoiled dairy for your shake. The workers are rude and on their phones while you stand at the counter waiting to place an order. One of the worst environments ever to be employed. Bathrooms rarely get cleaned after the homeless that choose to reside there day in and day out take their baths in the sink and rarely hit the toilet when using the restroom. The GM picks her favorite people who get to have intercourse with another employee in the shed with her knowledge of it and still is employed there. Same employee gets to stay on phone and hide in their bathroom while everyone else does her job. The GM also takes a million vacations, while the employees that work 40 hours are lucky to get their week off with regular pay. The workers there hate their work environment, and are constantly complaining about the treatment there. The "favorite" family are all managers and the regular employees have no way to change the cycle going on their. Onion buckets never get washed, they just get refilled. Employees NEVER wash hands and the hygiene is awful. Rarely ever sanitized while working. I can keep going on and on and on. This is a horrible establishment that needs new management as a definite start. read more

These four stars are some of the most genuine fast food stars on Yelp that you'll ever get from me. People often gasp at what I order from White Castle. It ranks with the gasps that I receive when I mention pickled bologna. While it is some top-notch "bad for humans food", we all have things that we grew up with. Nostalgia so strong that not even a cute puppy would take your attention away. Nostalgia so strong that using the Force is secondary. I think the original slider is delicious and I'll likely never change my mind on that. Growing up where the closest White Castle was 2 hours away.. every time someone in the family went to that city, they always put out the word that if anyone needed White Castle, they'd pick up a sack on the way back. Recently the White Castle crave only hits when my lady-love is out of town. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe her energy replaces that nostalgia? My usual order: (A White Castle trip isn't a White Castle trip without the following): - A sack of 10 hamburgers (AKA Original Sliders) -- Yes.. I eat them all. - Large Big Red Those things are White Castle musts. A few other things that are edible? Mozzarella sticks and the chicken rings. Everything else can drop off the menu for all I care. Additional notes: - Some people seem to think that fast food franchises never deserve five stars. If the restaurant is seemingly perfect... then there's no reason that a fast food spot shouldn't have five stars. The only reason that I'm taking a star off of this location? The staff can be spotty on how friendly they are. Also, the drive-thru can struggle(especially late-night on Friday and Saturday). If you want White Castle late on the weekends, you might as well head to the White Castle in Buechel or the one on Hurstbourne. - A word on the White Castle clone aka Krystal's. Krystal's isn't White Castle! Just because they're small and make square patties similar to White Castle, they don't taste like White Castle at all. Ok, so my daughter had never had a White Castle burger before so there is a first time for everything. I decided it was about time she discovered for herself what it was. It is what it is. Drunk food. But we all know and love it for what it truly is and hey, you can't go wrong for the price or the service. Luckily my underage daughter wasn't drunk and therefore she really hated the burgers. Amongst my confusion at her reaction I realized that she might be spoiled with her gourmet burgers, but I remember a time my mom and dad would bring us here because we were all of 6 kids and you really can afford to feed 8 people at White Castle. Best fast food hash browns available! I go here for breakfast once or twice a week just to get those hash browns and a sausage egg and cheese slider. I love that they give me the senior citizen discount because they know me (and yes I qualify)! The only acceptable times to go to White Castle is when you're a teenager and you and your friends just finished putting something in the air or you just left the bar with friends and need a cheap late night spot to grab some grub. But they are a great past time from watching Harold and Kumar and trying to get full for cheap on drunk empty stomach. As soon as we arrived in Louisville at 12:30 am we were starving. We assumed that finding something that was still open like Denny's was our only option. Not until the shuttle driver told this location was open 24 hours and was only a couple miles from our hotel. Since im from Vegas the one there on the strip the quality of the food was atrocious, we knew that the one here has got to be better. So off we went. The dining area was closed but the drive thru was 24 hours. We felt bad for the people behind us because there were way more options then I remembered at the strip. We ended up ordering almost one of everything so we can try it all. Even the breakfast menu was available all day. For the burgers we tried the original slider, cheese slider, double cheese slider, jalapeno cheese slider, bacon cheese slider, chicken ring slider, chicken breast slider, fish slider, and the breakfast waffle slider. For the sides we had fries, onion rings, onion chips, and chicken rings. My favorites were the jalapeno cheese slider and fish slider. I thought I would like the bacon cheese slider because bacon makes everything better right? For this slider I thought the bacon was overpowering meaning thats all I pretty much tasted. I guess bacon is meant for bigger size burgers? For the sides the fries were just ok. Kind of soggy and limp if you ask me. The onion petals and rings were awesome. I love onions so this hit the spot for me. The chicken ring was just as good by itself. All in all we spent about 25 bucks for all that food. Not bad. We were tempted to order dessert too but was afraid we would be too full. They had shakes, a brownie on stick, and a cheesecake on a stick. The last 2 items are dipped in chocolate fudge. Say what? In closing, service and overall quality of the food will have me coming back drunk or not. Since I am in the Kentucky for the week, my mission is to try EVERYTHING on the menu. Not sure if my fam will approve of that since we have been to this location twice already. As for pictures I seem to not have taken any. I hear so many people say that they can't eat it, or that it's "drunk food," but I'm here to tell you that I will gladly eat White Castle for dinner and be completely satisfied. So, I'm definitely a fan of the food. That being said, this location isn't great. I've been here a couple of times and each time there have been issues with the speaker/order box and I've had to repeat my order (sometimes more than once), the service is slow, and our order is always wrong. (No pickle does not mean 2-3 pickles per slider.) It's not enough to keep me from coming back to this location, because it's convenient, but if you're looking for fast food in the area and you're not set on White Castle this may not be the spot to drive-thru. read more

If you can't get White Castle near you, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but a lack of sliders ain't one. I'm going to try and keep this short because pretty much everyone knows what you do at White castle, you get your sliders with cheese or not, chicken rings maybe? Onion rings, yes, sack of fries? Hell yeah! And no trip to the Crave Castle is complete without a large Big Red to down the grease with. There's only one fast food burp as satisfying as a slider Big Red burp, and that's located out West in a chain called In-N-Out. I don't eat at White Castel often because we all know what it does, but when you get a craving like Scott and I do on occasion you just have to fill it. This location has been voted the friendliest staff in the area and for good reason. I've never had bad service, it's been speedy and there's never any attitude from the employees when they take your order or hand you your food. Plus this location has a few nice picnic tables you can sit at if you don't mind the neighboring crosswalks that beep at you constantly and the occasional firetruck running through. I love white castles, just not very often! This location is just a few blocks from my crib. I placed an online order using their app and I was able to get in out of the store in less than two minutes! I ordered my favorite menu item, a standard white castle. I got a sack of 10 for $2.50; it was their Mother's Day special. They are very greasy but they taste so good and the sautéed onions really hit the spot. I also love their brown Düsseldorf mustard. I only go to white castle when they have specials or a good coupon deal, that way I don't get my insides torn up that often! read more

This is a pretty good establishment. Food is good and usually pretty hot, and lets be honest, White Castle food really needs to be hot to be any good. The only problem I have with this place is the the fact that it isn't the easiest place to get into, what with one way streets and no-turn junctions surrounding it, and the drive-through line can get quite long and sluggish.
