Love this place!! Originally went to the Asheville locations and was so excited when they opened here. We went during their opening and I was a little disappointed but don't judge places at opening. I have gone back a couple times since and it's great!! They hit all the marks. So if you went early on and wasn't impressed I'd say go back now that they have their flow! My favs are the fish taco and falafel. Also their coconut frozen marg is truly my favorite frozen drink in the city. Service is always great! The atmosphere is great for a chill hang. read more

A really cool family oriented spot!! As you can see from my video it's very large inside and every night has a different theme. Tonight was live music night. Outdoors is plenty of space for children to run around and a big screen that shows movies on certain nights and tv/sports on other nights. The menu is all about tacos and it's a fusion so they have very interesting combinations. For my first visit I tried the bulgogi kimchi taco and the tikka masala chicken taco and both were very interesting yet good. It was hard for my brain and body to connect that this was the flavor inside of a taco. Beautiful combinations made! I got it to go so I will make sure that I come back and enjoy one of their movie nights with the family. read more

We had been to one of the locations of this restaurant in downtown Asheville, so I was excited to see a location in Chattanooga when we visited. This was completely different though - basically the layout of a giant brewery with tons of indoor and outdoor space. There was a guitarist playing inside on a Thursday night, but sadly the acoustics made it a little too loud for us to eat inside with our child. The tacos themselves were decent. The selection is interesting and varied, but the execution was average. I will say that we got our food extremely quickly - faster than they could bring out our beer and margarita. The outdoor area gives kids plenty of space to run around, but it felt a little underdeveloped. If they sink some more money into this place, it could be epic. There's a giant outdoor screen, but really no seating around it. read more

To celebrate our 2nd work anniversary, my two colleague and I came to White Duck Taco for lunch. I love Tacomacito so another colleague suggested I would love here. Well the restaurant has really creative and unique taco options. I ordered the shrimp taco and the Korean bulgogi taco. I also added a side of chips and salsa. I don't remember all the tacos my colleagues ordered but one did have the chicken Marsala taco. Overall the tacos were tasty but I think $5 per taco is a bit high especially when everything is a la carte. I wish like Tacomacita is that they had a two tacos and a side meals. Plus the shells were corn and it's not my preferred shell. I will say, the Korean bulgogi taco had enough meat that I made two tacos from it. So thoughts, if you're a taco and beer hang out person, this maybe your spot. But I'm not sure I'd return (Tacomacita has my heart). read more

The food was yummy. Shared queso dip and the black beans. My favorite taco was the shrimp taco. Surprised also the house margarita and the Golden hour beverage (rum) was mixed well and not too sweet. We sat outside on a beautiful day at a picnic table. The exterior could use a little more ambiance. They had The Masters on a big screen which is a nice touch. Music would be nice. Also recommend replacing the rocks with artificial turf. Parents are allowing kids to scatter and play with the rocks and they are strewn around everywhere. read more

It's grand opening week and based on the activity when I've driven by, as well as the two times I stopped, they are off to a roaring start. Nice place, very family friendly with customers of all age groups. The food is really good, not your typical tacos, lots of exciting fresh ingredients and flavors, and they're not even offering their full menu yet. Would like to see them offer some more exciting drinks, as an example, the margarita is boringly average. Looking forward to when they start brewing some of their own beer. A couple other observations to offer: 1. Open up that second POS position so you can serve people more effectively. 2. Put some trash receptacles outside 3. Give the bar the ability to serve the frozen margaritas so people don't have to go back through that long food line. I believe they have a winner here, particularly as they work through the grand opening bugs and expand to their full menu. I fully expect their ratings to improve. read more

To start with I truly despise restaurants trying to be trendy, but having trash food. Tried their Bangkok shrimp taco and their Thai chicken taco have had these at other restaurants that know what they are doing, and it can be a very wonderful mixture, but the white duck taco company managed to fubar this beyond anything resembling food using salad shrimp for the damn shrimp taco is a big mistake when the taco is six dollars rather than using anything resembling a decent Thai sauce they are using the cheapest peanut sauce available for their chicken tacos you could not pay me to go back to this restaurant for a second round. I will most likely be stopping by later today to demand a refund because $12 for two tacos that taste like shit is something I am not willing to do. I would recommend going anywhere besides this place for a taco Taco Bell comes to mind. read more

In walking distance for those who live in lovely Highland Park this is a great place for drinks and great food! The fun outdoor area often hosts activities like arts and crafts markets and movies under the stars. The generous indoor space is inviting with a food counter and a bar counter. Our drinks were really yummy and the tacos were delicious, so many interesting options. We have been twice but will be back for sure. read more

Great ambiance with room to grow. They plan to add a brewery soon. Tons of seating both inside and out. They have separate lines for cocktails vs. food, but you can purchase a few pre-made drinks in the food line like the frozen Coconut lime margarita. It would be nice if you could have 1 cohesive tab vs closing out x2, but it's not a deal breaker! Other cocktails pictured: Big Orange Thyme and the Hot Tropic. The Orange Thyme was crisp and the Hot Tropic had the perfect touch of heat. Food pictured: the salsa sampler and the cheese dip. The tomatillo salsa was my favorite. Tacos not pictured: Crispy chicken BLT, Bangkok shrimp, and the Korean beef bulgogi . Loved the crispy chicken and it was filling/good value. The Bangkok shrimp was tasty, but the shrimp to cucumber ratio needs work. I'd pass on the Korean beef next time and opt for something else! Happy to have them in Chattanooga read more

Really cool vibe and concept! Service was dope. The flavors are a little off the mark and the tortillas taste store bought. I'm not sure how everything could be so bland when you're shooting for flavor bombs. They really need an authentic taco lineup before the gourmet and then be a bit more realistic about the price. The charm of tacos are its an affordable street food with a bite and a touch of love. They're a few tweaks away from something worth driving out there for. I'm rooting for ya! read more

This was our second visit as we have been craving since our first visit. Crazy creative menu and ingredients that are super fresh! First visit I had the lamb gyro it was great and this time the Thai chicken. I cont know which is better!! Both times I got the watermelon and mint salad, candy from heaven. This place is so special, I went there two days in a row with the kids! Unique exterior colored wall is calming green. Very kids friendly with games and space inside as well as outside. Parking is an issue but I did like menu others. Parked across the street. Relaxing interior seating decor including coaches. Taco options are vast. $5 taco is very reasonable. Double taco makes handling the taco easier and more filling. Overall fresh ingredients full of taste. Service is excellent. Food comes out max 15 minute after order even on the busier day where the line was very long. The salsa trio is a must and offered 3 totally different sauces. My favorite was the General Tso chicken. Has a sweet tahini with crispy wanton The lamb gyro full of taste. The fish rack has a light grilled fish fillet. The tiki chicken had a nice kick. Overall excellent experience both days. We have already visited twice and I felt compelled to write a review because it is just that good!! Honestly a bit surprised how good the food is here! Four of us ordered 2 different tacos each time and everyone loved each of the tacos they had. The queso is delicious. Special shout out to the Lamb Gyro, Pork Belly, Bulgogi and Chicken Tikka tacos. The toppings and sauces used are all spot on. The tacos are large and the chips/queso basket was a good size as well. We will be back soon! read more

Really love that White Duck Taco is in Chattanooga! Our first time there my husband and I (with our two kids) ordered almost everything off the menu. Our little ones loved the kids beef and chicken taco. My husband and I wasn't a fan of the Thai one, and the Bulogi was a bit too salty. The fish one was definitely wayyy too salty. My husbands favorite was the crispy chicken BLT and the pork belly. While I like the pork belly it was a turn-off for me with the gobs of fat I got in mine. The bbq one is alright, wouldn't order the falafel one again but that's just me. My favorites were the lamb gyro, and duck. We also both liked the Bangkok shrimp, though going back to order it several times, there could be more consistency with shrimp/pickle ratio and not overdoing it with the sauce. The corn salad was okay, It was a cold salad though and I just prefer a more cheesy warm corn salad. The watermelon salad was good and the kids liked it as well. The bean side-dish was just meh. Their cardboard taco-to go containers are really convenient. I really wish they didn't over-do it with the plastic drinking cups and side-dish containers though, it just seems unnecessary. Also, the drinking water there isn't that tasty, I'm not sure if it's filtered or not. Overall a great place to bring the family though, or for a quick to-go meal. Great atmosphere, though the long walk from the parking to the front door is very sunny and hot and needs lots of shade, I'm sure they'll eventually do something about that and plant some trees and landscape more. Looking forward to seeing how this place looks in a year or two, and all the interesting tacos they come up with! read more

White Duck hosted a lunch event for us and knocked it out of the park! The coordination and communication was stellar to ensure everything was executed well. We had a taco buffet that everyone enjoyed (and went back for seconds), and the cocktails and mocktails are a must! Their indoor space is super open with lots of light and plants, which is a welcome refuge during the dreary winter. Awesome customer service from everyone on their team, and I can't wait to be back on their patio this spring. read more

Good news first - great location, plenty of space inside and outside, friendly staff, cool industrial vibe, tasty queso and the margaritas were very good. Plenty of potential for a new location. We have been to the Asheville riverside location and absolutely loved it! Very excited for the Chattanooga location. Plenty of patrons. Bad news - tacos were not good. Our group had Steak & Cheese (very chewy tough meat), Bangkok Shrimp (tiny frozen type shrimp with fibrous texture), Thai Peanut (sauce was very strong and bitter, chicken had lots of gristle) and Pork Belly (meat undercooked and tough). We did not finish our meals and threw them away. The high table bar stool seating was springy and not comfortable. Once the food quality can be addressed and resolved, it will be a great experience...like Asheville was. read more
