we stayed here for a week at the little cabins , we read online prior to checking in , but no a/c as stated online . IT was so hot in the cabins, even2 fans and a breeze did not help . i personally was sick for 2 days of our trip, because it was so hot in there !!!! It is very boring here, boring here, nothing to do for children . On sire store was way over priced . The plus about this place is staff is really nice!! shout out to suzanne and Joshua - you were amazing ! it is very quiet. Cute clean little Cabin but not worth $243.00 for one night. The office was already closed at 6:30 pm when we arrived but keys were left for us. There were no remotes for the TV's so no television available. The fan on the hvac unit for the kitchen/dining area was not working and area was cold. The kitchen sink disposal was not working and sink and dishwasher were backing Up. Very poor WiFi connection. Disappointed for price paid. read more

The best thing about this spot is the showers. The rest could use some work.... The staff were fairly cold and unhelpful. The sites are super close together and the whole place is located close to a highway so you can hear the road noise. But the showers were great. Heated, private, worth the rest. read more

We came here over the summer for a family trip and decided that we liked it so much we came back for a relaxing getaway. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The campgrounds are clean. We rented a small rustic cabin both times. It was clean when we arrived and I love that it has a full size bed and bunk bed. I also appreciate that they provide a small fan and space heater in the cabins. I honestly didn't mind having to walk to the bathroom/shower. Felt like summer camp. lol. And they were always clean. They have a cute little dog park, pool/hot tub and playgrounds too. I think the only drawback is that it is right off the road so there is constant car sounds. But the plus is that it is right next to a Chevron. Overall, I think the rates, friendly service, and cleanliness of this place make it a five-star stay in my book. read more

We stayed two nights and the bathrooms were never cleaned. The cleanest one had no working lock on the door, so my husband had to stand outside to make sure no one came in. There were at least 5 workers there all the time, but never seemed to be doing anything. Could not have been a much worse experience. My son and I are on a cross-country road trip to celebrate his graduation, staying primarily at KOA campgrounds. As a 100% disabled combat veteran, I chose the Grand Canyon/Williams KOA for a special birthday treat on the 4th of July, reserving teepee #3 for a unique experience. What we got instead was a nightmare. Upon arrival on July 3rd, the teepee reeked of feces and garbage, making it completely uninhabitable. We couldn't stay inside for more than a few minutes. When I reported this to the front desk, it was clear they were already aware of the issue but offered no solutions. They had no alternative accommodations available, and I had to ask for a refund, which was given without so much as an apology. Left stranded near the Grand Canyon on a busy holiday weekend, far from our home in Maine, we were forced to scramble for a new place to stay. The only option was a much more expensive rental, adding significant financial strain to our trip. The staff's negligence and lack of care were shocking and unacceptable. This experience turned a special moment into a stressful ordeal. I expected better from KOA, a brand we trusted for this journey. I'm sure the camping site is beautiful but I don't know. I booked a reservation and found out the next day (12hours) that my husband's KNEE REPLACEMENT surgery would be the day prior. The site is deceiving and apparently there is small print hidden that they deduct $10 from the deposit but the screenshot doesn't say that. Also, it's human decency to take into account medical problems and $10 refunded isn't too much to ask. What happened to customer service? They could make an executive decision based on our situation but apparently they don't have any regard for a person who is unable to use the amenities because of a disability. read more

First of all we booked a reservation by phone my wife did then we got here at the campsite they did not have our name but yet we had a receipt emailed to her really bad management and or bad front desk people because we ended up getting A site the way back of the camp Grounds away from everything so everybody else got sites before us because they got their reservations and second of all the cable tv is out for the price you pay 90 bucks a night and a gravel pit deafly not worth it Wi-Fi signal is very weak and it goes off and on all night long . one of the worst koa I ever been to I will not return to this one ever again. read more

There was plenty of space between the neighboring party and a picnic table, fire out, grill, and parking space. I wish I could leave zero stars!!! The staff is absolutely horrible and rude!! The bathrooms are disgusting and look like they haven't been cleaned in a year!! I would not recommend this place to anybody! We got there when they were closed I put all my information on an envelope into their little dropbox, and we left before they were open. I was traveling cross country and the emails and phone calls I received threatening me because I did not leave my credit card information was nothing less than harassment. I called five times and sent emails when I stopped. They even threatened to call the sheriff because I didn't leave my credit card information for the $50. But I left them my name, phone number and email so obviously I wasn't trying to hide . It was completely unprofessional and inappropriate for the way they treated me. read more

Super cute small cabin with two rooms, one with a queen bed, the other with two twin bunk beds and a small desk. Perfect for camping and close one hour drive to the Grand Canyon. My boyfriend and I booked this place for a night, since we planned on hiking the Grand Canyon, and this place was everything we needed! The check in receptionist was super kind and friendly; they gave us a trail map to the Grand Canyon, since they had a few extra. The bathrooms were very clean, and there is a cute little porch with a swinging porch bench to sit out and relax on. You do have to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, towels, and toiletries, but there is a nearby gas station in case you forget! read more

I wanted to write a review because of how awesome our experience was. We were so scared because of the negative reviews but this place was so awesome. Very family friendly and super clean. The pool was very clean and the staff were so so friendly!! My son was crying and one of the staff gave him a little snake toy :) the train ride is free! The playgrounds were clean and my kids enjoyed them. They had a projector play Stuart little Saturday night for the kids which they loved. The showers had hot water and were clean. Bathrooms were clean. They have affordable campfire wood. The Wi-Fi was NOT spotty. I didn't have a single issue with it. They take security seriously! There was an incident one night at midnight where I was waiting outside the bathroom for my daughter and a man jumped out of the dark yelled at me and scared me I called the security number and they came right away and even followed up with me the next day. They exceeded all of our exceptions with how friendly they were and how clean everything was. Thank you! ! read more

My family and I used this KOA as a base for our Spring Break vacation to the surrounding area - Route 66, Williams, Grand Canyon and Bearizona. Though it doesn't have the amenities as some other KOAs, this actually makes more a quieter and relaxing stay. We rented the Deluxe Cabin - and the kids went crazy...! But why just 4-stars? A few reasons... - The electric stove was an issue for us during our stay - it took LONG to heat up anything for cooking, etc. - The location is situated such that there is almost no cell phone reception; yes, they provide WiFi - but the coverage is so scant that you need to be near the office. - Would appreciate a little more enthusiasm from the front desk staff. I felt that we were but a chore to manage rather than a welcomed guest. Albeit, a couple of the staff, especially that young lad (forgot his name) the first couple of days of our stay, that manage the grounds were attentive and all smiles! read more

Stay at the Circle Pines KOA, not here! Yes, I know it's a bit further form the park however it's worth it. This KOA was a dump. We stayed in a trailer with three small kids. We have always loved KOA camping with kids because they are safe and offer plenty of activities. None of the published activities occurred and the recreation eqipment was in terrible disarray. The tetherball rope was broken and re-tied in knots. One of the swings was missing and the other was badly kinked. The pool was gross and had debris floating in it. The "arcade" games were mostly out of order and the movie night that they advertised never happened (I finally stopped at the front desk and begrudgingly someone came by and threw in a movie). In addition, the small rec room could only facilitate a few people. Yuck. Go somewhere else. This review was written by a parent with small children. Maybe it's not applicable if you just need a quick stopover. Definitely not a family destination... read more

Solid KOA for overnight travelers. Being a local, however, I don't know that we would stay here again. Verizon signal was rough everywhere but the main building, pool was closed and looked like it might contain an alligator or two, WiFi was next to impossible to connect to from our site. Sites were level and easy to navigate, but the lanes were muddy and rutted up during our stay. Bathrooms were a long walk. Power was clean without surges and other issues found in some of these older KOAs. Solid 4 stars for what it is, maybe we are just a bit spoiled by the kid centric amenities of Circle Pines. If you're home basing for the Grand Canyon or other trips it's certainly not bad, probably better than surrounding due to location and being a much smaller campground, it's just not for us. read more

Wasn't very impressed with this KOA. You can tell the up keep of this facility isn't being well managed. For the price to stay in the big cabins and not have WI-FI that works or cable. Plus the activities they had in the rec room for the kids were either broken or missing pieces and the pool was murky. Not to mention the up keep of the family restrooms were blah. I have stayed at very Full capacity rv resorts (Zion) and the up keep of that facility was phenomenal. We had stayed before at this location in the smaller cabins. But if you can get a deluxe cabin go for it. Room for 6, the cabin comes with everything you need, the location is quiet and it looks like the campground is getting some work done on it. My experience with KOA is for just one night and being in the tent lot only. Thursday March 24, 2016 My friend and I had arrived pretty late. And when I say late, I mean like seriously closing time for the people who work there to lock the doors and get some sleep, late. I'm just gonna say right now, that we had so many lucky occurrences that night. We literally stopped by 3 times that night, which is why I'm giving this place 3 stars. I debated on giving this place 4 stars, however because of my limited stay, I can only say so much. Sorry KOA, 3 stars it is. It was literally around 9:30 ish pm and we encountered a group of people ahead of us. Apparently they were told by the Park Rangers in Mather's Campground to leave because they didn't make a reservation. Thus them ended up in KOA lodging/campground, where we met them. When my friend and I walked up, they only had lot 40 open, which was a tent lot. To avoid paying and wanting a free campground, we had asked around and apparently you can actually camp on the roads on 64, left and right of the street going into the street. But as chicken as I was, and mind you it was DARK pitch black, that I didn't want to camp on the side roads. Came back a second time, asked the people if the lot was still open, and turns out we got beat by a family who took the spot. DAMN. We sat in the car for an hour in KOA searching for other campgrounds. No luck. Attempt number 3. We get out the car and talk to the manager/owner/worker of KOA and turns out that he FORGOT to put up lot 44, to make it available. Third times a charm, right? LOL So we get lot 44 because of the guy's mistake and settled for the tent spot for $28.86. Ouch. We were offered the tent lot with electricity for $35, but we opted for the cheaper price with no electricity. These lots were hella expensive.Pricey but it was late and we stayed. It's literally just an empty lot with a fire circle, picnic bench and surprisingly, a grill. There were actually grills on almost every tent lot. There are 3 showers, and 2 bathrooms. Heated bathrooms by the way. There were more locations but the one we went to had that many close to us. There's also a laundry room for you to wash your dirty clothes. Pool and sauna were closed because of the weather. So can't say much about that. People who came were those who couldn't get campground reservations in the Grand Canyon, or didn't do enough research and this was the first campground spot seen, or had no other choice but to settle for this place. I can't really say much for this place as a whole, however my experience was OK. We needed a night to stay and got lucky. The amenities were nice. Would I stay here again, hell no. LOL But hey, if you or your family would like amenities such as a pool, laundry, or heated bathrooms, they have it all. This place is roughly 40-45 minutes away from the Grand Canyon. I'm looking for the real camping experience. Thanks KOA for the night stay though. read more

Family vacation time at the Grand Canyon KOA! Rented a small cabin with a bunk bed and double bed for our trip! And SO glad we did as it snowed today! Pros: Office staff are pleasant and professional. They accepted my Amazon packages for stuff we forgot to bring. Pets allowed with a $10 fee. Cabin was $55 per night. Cabin came with a small electric heater. Was ok for chilly nights, but not so much for the wintertime nights and days with snow! Staff offered to bring a more heavy duty one. Cons: Grand Canyon is almost 60 miles away! Had to bring our own linens and pillows. Bathrooms are ok. Needs more frequent cleaning. Urine stains on back of toilet for two straight days. Right off the main road to The Grand Canyon. Overall, had a good time in the tiny cabin with the family and dog. read more

We just stayed at the Grand Canyon KOA, and I thought I'd make as list of good and bad experiences. Really not very impressed with KOA. This place was better than the Williams I40 KOA though: Good: A single room has showers & toilets together in 1 place; Privacy fence along the rear; nice gift shop; Nice lodging options/ I would only recommend staying in a cabin here Bad: Quiet hours are NOT enforced!!; Pool workers and campers are noisy during quiet hours (people are laughing at 5AM!!); Could NOT figure out a way to contact staff after 8PM or before 8AM (maybe this is my fault); All tent sites and a number of RV sites are a VERY small and there was NOT any gravel pad as advertised; There isn't even a hint of privacy for most sites!! A lot of road noise from Hwy 64; Rec room games and literature area are NOT maintained. They have 2 year old brochures and the few games are mostly broken. Why do KOA's charge money for everything? Most hotels offer free coffee or tea at least read more

We are loyal KOA customers, well we were until we stayed here. Horrific and somewhat traumatic experience. Staff- specifically a terribly unprofessional lady named ANDREA, has zero people skills and no conflict resolution abilities. She called us, was horribly rude and hung up on us twice without allowing us to speak/respond to her concerns at all. She called the Sheriff (twice) and animal control on us based false reports from neighbors. Animal control deemed that our outside dog (who is highly trained and very well taken care) was a happy and healthy dog with zero signs of abuse or neglect. We attempted to have a conversation with her about the situation, never once raising our voice, despite her berating/verbal abuse. However, Andrea kicked us out (with Sheriff's supervision), refused to refund our money, and refused to provide us with owners contact information. Never been treated like this a day in my life. Terrible experience, wasted an entire day of vacation (our child's senior trip). Oh and their "rate your experience" email would not accept my negative review and came back with an error message. Think twice before considering a stay here. There are many other parks in this area. read more

Day 1: issue 1: arrived to discover our cabin was really nice other than the broken microwave. However they did have a tiny little microwave sitting on the floor off to a corner in the hallway for us. Would have been nice if we would've been told microwave is broken. Issue 2 day 1: 30 minutes after we checked in we raced over to the office with our three kids super Duper happy to check out some of their bicycles since that is literally the only activity they have here to do. Bicycles or checked out for only 30 minutes. It was one hour before closing and immediately after we asked to check out the bikes, they had this really weird look on their face and said that they were sorry but they couldn't check out the bikes to us because it was too late. I said really? The rental is only for 30 minutes which means we would be back 30 minutes before closing. The ladies at the front desk then asked what looks like the maintenance guy and the maintenance guy said no because he usually gets really busy at around that time and it gets dark and it's pretty difficult for him to put the bikes away. In other words, it was too much of an inconvenience for them to rent us a bike for 30 minutes. My issue with this scenario is that nothing was written, nothing was posted and this was not a set policy or rule. It was all based on how they felt at the end of day Friday. Issue 3 day two: I asked the girls at the front desk specifically to speak with the on-site manager, they said that she would not be until the next day at 10 AM but that they would make sure to tell the manager to give me a call. I think gave them my cell phone number. An entire day later, the on-site manager never called me. I went to the front desk to follow up. I told them that since the on-site manager didn't call me back, I no longer wanted to speak with her, I wanted to speak with her manager. Issue 4 day 2: I didn't go back on day two and hour and a half before closing time with my three kids again to ask to check out three bicycles. The girls at the front desk I can look does though they wanted to cry and they pointed to a typed out piece of paper that they now had posted on the front desk saying that an hour and a half was too late to rent bicycles. I have called and emailed the general manager and am currently waiting for a response. All I am looking for is a little customer service and someone to show as though they care about offering a good customer service experience. Still have not felt it read more

Don't expect the fanciest of campgrounds but do expect a clean facility with friendly customer service. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was gorgeous, clean, and had plenty of space. It was like living in a fabled tiny home for a few days. The pool is small but adequate and there was a playground and some games for the kids. The store is well stocked and we were able to cobble together dinner the first night (since it was too dry for our planned campfire). I wish there had been an ice maker or at least ice trays in the freezer and there is no oven (not that we needed it but not being able to have a fire changed our plans). Overall we were very pleased and would definitely recommend this KOA. read more

We stayed 3 nights in a Couples Cabin. We had a wonderful time. Sure, we could of probably stayed in town for cheaper, but in my opinion, this was so much better. Room is petite. About 10'x12'. It had a full bed that was more comfortable than it looked. Headboard and footboard were a nice little touch. Mattress has a cover but you are responsible for your own linens. There's a little built in shelf to empty your pockets on along with a chair. A little mirror and another small shelf with a paper towel holder were in the corner. On the far wall was 3 hooks to hang up your jackets. There was plenty of room for a large ice chest and a couple of suitcases on the floor. Temperature at night was in the mid 20s and the supplied electric space heater kept us nice and toasty. I imagine it would get pretty warm in the summer without air conditioning though. Shower and bathrooms are nearby. A picnic bench and fire pit just outside the front door. On the porch was a nice little two person swing and a bench. Place was clean as far as campsite cabins go. I would not hesitate to stay here again. read more

We have camped at many KOA campgrounds, including one not far from here, and this was the worst experience ever! We booked a full hook-up site, but they put us in an electric and water only site, which forced us to use their disgustingly dirty restrooms. It didn't matter the time of day, they were always filthy. There are few amenities for a KOA, horrible ground cover, little shade, dilapidated K9 park, and less than helpful staff. The very poor layout leaves you double stacked in like sardines. Clearly they are not monitored by the KOA brand. We paid for 4 nights and left after the third night. When I tried to leave a poor review on their site, I got an error message. The whole experience was one giant error! read more

This was our first campground spot on our RV Adventure and this place set the bar for all the other campgrounds we would stay at. I am so happy that this was the first and not the last - but this place set the bar so low. I was really worried about the rest of our places. Bathrooms were semi clean - having visited other places after this one, these bathrooms could have been much better. Internet was spotty so while the kids were sleeping I wish I could have gotten some work done. Pool was decent and the staff was friendly. If you stay here ,a little tip - the bathrooms at the end of the "wooden rooms/tents" was the best and cleanest. Maybe because there is less traffic to those. This is a great park overall, the WiFi is absolute garbage though. There is no cellphone service so you rely on the WiFi and it is nonexistent. The sites are wide, the store has lots to offer, bathrooms are clean, the doggie playground is awesome for an off leash experience. Check-in was easy, they have a employee on a golf cart that takes you right to your site so there's no confusion. Only 50 minutes from the Grand Canyon, 15 minutes from the town of Williams. Overall the campground served it's purpose and gave us a site that was located conveniently between the canyon and Sedona (both about and hour drive). I try to stay at KOA's when we do go camping as they are typically friendly and have plenty of activities for the kids. While this one was more basic they did offer a few fun activities. After driving for over 7 hours we were hoping to arrive and slide into a spot. Although there were several spots open, the staff made us wait 30-40 minutes until a particular site was vacated. However once we got past that drama all was good. read more

We stayed here for two nights in a camping cabin and it was an awesome spot to come and relax after exploring the Grand Canyon. The space they provide outside to the cabin was plentiful for grilling, eating and sitting by the bonfire. The rooms were cozy, they come loaded with fans and plug in heaters, bring plenty of blankets to lie on and to cover up. I was worried this time because I was told, incorrectly, several times that the road from the KOA to downtown was closed and I had to drive on a dirt road or drive 20+ miles out of the way to get to the KOA. The roads are fine. Its a direct shot to the main street in Williams. We really like this KOA despite this snaffoo. Its quiet, well maintained and accommodating. We will return. read more

I came and stayed at this KOA back in January over new years weekend on our way up to the Grand Canyon since there was snow up there. Being January, it was FREEZING outside, but surprisingly our Cabin was pretty toasty and accommodations were adequate for our needs. It was nice being near the bathrooms so there wasn't a long walk during the middle of the night. My only issue with my experience there was the lack of attention to the bathrooms, there was only one useable bathroom by the time we left after two nights. But the campground is a 15 minute driving into Williams for food and there is a Circle K right next door for anything you might need during your stay. I personally didn't deal with the staff at the camp ground but I didn't hear any complaints about them . read more

My family and I think it should be a 2.5 star rating, but we rounded down. We stayed there for 4 nights. We had family there staying at 3 other sites. Pros: Campground was clean. Prices are reasonable. Williams, and Grand Canyon Railway, are minutes away. Grand Canyon entrance about an hour away. Movie night for the kids. Cons: NOT ENOUGH BATHROOMS!!! There are over 70 sites total and only 7 bathrooms. Most of these have a shower so they are tied up for 20-30 minutes at a time. I don't mind waiting for a shower but shouldn't have to wait in line almost every time I want to use the bathroom. All they need are a couple of well maintained porta-potties! (Of course, this is not a problem if you are in an RV but if you are tenting or renting a tent or cabin, it's a real bummer.) Front office staff was only minimally helpful. Camp store has no food items; bread, milk, etc. Pool was dirty. It was closed for cleaning the day we planned on the kids playing there all day. Wi-fi is intermittent and doesn't reach all the campsites. read more
