Mike Pemberton and the staff are wonderful people. The fish dinners have been consistently great every time, and the value is extraordinary. I can't get a traditional perch or walleye dinner this good in Birmingham, Royal Oak, Ferndale, or any of the other restaurant hot spots. My wife always enjoys Mike's veggie burger and the fried pickles, and she always snatches a piece of fish from my basket. For those who have given less than stellar reviews and have made comments about the staff and other clientele, just realize where you are. This is not Portofino. This is old school Wyandotte at its best. Feel lucky when you come and get to experience an ambiance that you don't find around these days. The ladies on staff are the nicest and have given us great service over the years. Hats off to Mike for keeping a bit of history alive and serving up great food and nice chilled beer.

They only recently upgraded to flat screen TVs, finally new floors laid after I'm sure someone called about their asbestos tiles chipping up & they have badly outdated furniture. Some of the regulars are downright rude, the bartender's tend to be less polite to younger ppl. The pros are it is a quaint house bar, and ya get to avoid the downtown crowds. Their parking lot is a good size & layout for plenty of parking availability. They have a pool table. A jukebox with good selections. The start time is listed at 9pm but it usually takes a bit longer to get up and running. No worries because they always have a game on, and weirdly, CMT. I was a little concerned I possibly swallowed a shard of glass, I wasn't going to make a big stink of it, but wanted to inform the bartender that the glass was chipped and to dispose of it for future customers sake, however she ignored me every time I asked excuse me & passive aggressively walking away, mind you I was trying to also close my tab as well. It was taking such a long time to close my tab & show her the chipped glass it got to the point where I had a friend just pay for me because they had cash, as we were leaving a older man with gray hair and a big belly sitting in a chair told me to keep it moving troublemaker! as he was eavesdropping the whole time on our conversation about the chipped glass, which we didn't even make a big deal out of, I asked him what the problem was and he proceeded to keep telling me to keep it moving as if he was threatening me, but I wasn't scared of him the guy looked like a boomer Elmer Fudd, very very rude.
