Hello today, I went into Ross in Folsom off of East Bidwell, and a manager there by the name of Emma tapped me on the shoulder as I was doing a return and tried to accuse me of not paying for a bag. I walked into the store with a bag and my return items that I purchased the night before while I was speaking with the cashier. I asked her if she'd like to use the bag as a recycle for somebody else that may need it. This other person named Emma tapped me on the back while the line was filled with people out of nowhere and tried to accuse me of not paying for the bag. I then got pretty upset and told her I would never try and steal a bag from the store and I had all my receipts with me and the receipt show that I purchased the bag last night while I purchased the other items it was unbelievably embarrassing. It was incredibly unprofessional they would refuse to give me the corporate office this store by far is being run by extremely unprofessional people. The person that I was working with had lots of trouble understanding what I was saying as well as Emma who claimed to be the supervisor then when I asked her for corporate number, she wouldn't give it to me. The Store other employees came up that had been working there for over 10 years, said that they had an organized system of where management and certain employees are all friends and they get away with this behavior and they all stick up for one another when something like this occurs nothing ever gets resolved. I was encouraged to call corporate office on this incident because of the mere fact that she would try to accuse me of stealing a bag and not paying for it when it was the same bag, I walked in from the night before please do not go to this Ross. It is absolutely horrific.. when we went back to the store my husband asked if he could speak with the supervisor the employee that helped me at the checkout stand then try to say I think you're drunk and entitled I don't drink it. All her name is Madison and she had nothing nice to say it was unbelievable. What my husband, myself and another employee witness plus more people she said that that the fact that I would actually defend myself and say I'm not trying to steal a bag made me come off as being entitled it was absolutely shocking that we would get treated that way. we will be calling corporate just to let them know that this kind of behavior is happening to customers and not being properly taking care of. read more

I have to say Ross is slowly back to the way they were before the pandemic. All the stores are much better than the last few years, including this Ross in Folsom. This Ross is ready for the holiday season. It has a huge inventory and the lowest prices. I found so many choices on all the items in stock. Perfect for last shopping by bringing the items home on the same day. The check-out counter is very busy, but the line is moving fast. This Ross has some really nice stuff every time I've visited. Warranted it is not my usual Ross & I've only visited a couple of times. But they always have a nice variety of shirts & I was able to locate a very wide variety of Hello Kitty shirts so I was very pleased with myself. The store was clean and quiet, with the shirts in their correct location for ease. Everything seemed very organized and well taken care of. Loved my time at this location. read more

This is the worst store I have ever shopped at, they have the rudest women working here. The shopping complex has FREE chargers for people Who are shopping, and there are two women who work here and leave their cars on the chargers all day. It is beyond rude and not the intended purpose of the chargers. Four of us have called corporate and complained and they don't do anything. These two women are rude and even leave their cars on the chargers after they are fully charged, and no one else can benefit from the chargers. read more

I found a water bottle in the store with a price tag of $9.99. I asked the woman at the counter, Jas, if I could find another water bottle of the same kind, could I get it for $9.99. She took it to an employee named Gayane, and Gayane took the $9.99 price tag off and told me the water bottle was actually $17.99. She said I could not buy it for the $9.99 price tag, I could buy it for $17.99. She removed the price tag right in front of me and all the other customers in line. I had about $100 worth of items and I didn't purchase any of them. I have gone to Ross my entire life and I have never had anything like that happen to me in any store, ever. Gayane and another head employee that started years ago as loss prevention named Jason were the rudest they could be and I will never go to Ross again. read more

I have been visiting this store in Folsom for the past 15 years, have spent thousands of dollars here and never once did I encounter a rude unprofessional checkout clerk until now. I went to return an item on a non busy day. The clerk asked me why I was returning it. I answered but she was distracted by another associate talking to her. She asked me again because she said she didn't hear, and I told her the reason, again. Then she went on to scan the tag that was next to the item but not attached to it. She asked me why I removed the tag and said "next time keep the tag intact and make my life easier". I don't know if it's her accent ( kinda like a middle eastern or Iranian) but she was so rude as if talking to her maid in whatever hole she is from. To make matter worse, she argued it was the wrong tag although the tag had the same price, number as on the receipt. What a LIAR!!! On Tuesday evening I stopped in to shop for you guessed it, more dresses lol what can I say, I love dresses. I found not one, but two that fit me perfectly and looked flattering and very summery to wear to church and events! I wish they carried more bra sizes since I was looking for a strapless one and they didn't carry my smaller size, but I would still recommend this location. The cashier was very friendly to hold my items at the counter for me so I could return later to purchase them. If I could give zero stars, I would. The African American male at the main register full time is impossible to deal with! Impossible! I bought a black hat, with distressing and a faux suede bill. After trying it on at home, the bill projected too much over my face so I tried to return it the NEXT DAY brand new with tags. The man at the register inspected the whole hat, tags, receipt, questioned me and said he thought the hat was used because of the distressing on the bill. (are you serious?) the tag is on it, it's brand new and never worn. It's DISTRESSING- a very popular style. He then argued it didn't match the receipt because it said 'faux felt' and the hat wasn't faux felt. (Wrong) the bill of the hat IS a faux felt texture. After 10 minutes and holding up the line, he calls over to ask a supervisor about the $10 return. I believe it was 'Heather' who came over and agreed with him! I was literally STUNNED at these 2... I'll say it, idiots! The receipt matched perfectly, and they would not honor Ross's return policy. The supervisor said she would have to try and look up the purchase on the security cameras and would have to wait there at the register. For $10?! It was not worth my time! I called Corporate and left all my info to file a complaint and never heard a word back! After about a week, I took my Grandma to another Ross store to purchase suitcase, and I still had this hat in the car. I was able to return it to that store with NO issue! These people in Folsom are unreasonable and nothing is ever done! read more

I avoid Ross in the Sacramento area because how trashy they are. But I decided since this one is in Folsom I should stop by. I am calling out the manager and his rude staff Naima !! I was showing Naima the item I wanted to purchase and why it has so many scratches (all their products have issues alwayyyssss it's like shopping at a second hand store). I was totally polite asking and she snapped and said stop talking! And that I talk too much lol what ... who tells their costumer to stop talking, the manager came by but clearly was annoyed at her and walked away. I am shocked this is the worst experience ever! Perfect location right next to Marshall's, how can one pass it up? Really hit or miss here. I've had more misses but they do have some gems if you get lucky. I did notice though, that this location feels more "empty" unlike other Ross stores. Like they don't have much product or the aisles feel empty. The staff member at the door has always been nice. They're located in a good plaza with a nice variety of shops all next to each other. I've gotten Levi's jeans here for amazing prices, cute vintage looking graphic tees, nice home decor, candles, and recently because of the pandemic as of this writing, face masks and hand sanitizer. read more

Super rude employees. Came in with my 1 year old daughter and bought a large wall shelf that I couldn't carry out by myself. I had to either carry my daughter out or push her in the shopping cart which apparently is not allowed. Its a fun store in the nicer area. Its all the way in folsom in a good area with lots of nice shops around. This location carries the random stuff to designer brands for clothes and accessories or maybe even bags too. Today i found myself a nice terranium home which i am very exicted to create my own. The funny thing was i was just thinking about it yesterday and found the nice mouth blown glass for it in a good size. Overall this spot is a hit and miss and sometimes you find gem in here. I came in here to get a yoga mat and decided to get 2 pairs of yoga pants while I was at it. Firstly, they had a really small and not very good selection of yoga mats. Usually they have a nice variety but not today. Then looking at the pants they had hardly any. There were maybe 6 pairs to choose from in my size. I buy two and wish I would have paid better attention. I wore a pair to my yoga class today and my friend pointed out theres a hold in the butt area! I'm such a big Ross fan, and this is probably one of the b e s t Ross stores that I have ever shopped at. First off, this location is huge. Thus more selections. And, I don't know how this is determined, but for some reason, this Ross has a lot more name brand selections available than any other Ross stores that I've been at. Maybe because it's located in Folsom? Anyways, the store is also pretty clean, considering it's a Ross and usually people dig mines around to find things. Workers are also pretty friendly. There is a big jewelry, cologne, and sunglass collection too. I recommend this Ross for all of your bargain shopping! ;D read more

Ross stores can have either good stuff or crap. This one carries good stuff... but you'll need energy to dig, especially the ladies shoe section. I found an AWESOME Le Sport Sac "overnighter" bag for $35. I asked for a discount b/c there was a little soda stain on the inside of the bag and i ended up getting a designer bag that's worth $90 for $33!!! You don't have to be a math quiz to realize you're in a win win situation! Aside from this store having good stuff overall, the SAs are very friendly and easy to talk to. The men's selection is a joke. It seems as though the quality of the clothes/materials has gone downhill (I know it's Ross, but the quality used to be a little better). The dressing room "helper" makes you feel like a criminal, making you hang the clothes up yourself, and then pats them down to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary. When you're all done, she makes you hang them up again (she should at least offer to hang them up for you), and then pats them down again. No please or thank you, nothing. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars, is because the other employees were friendly & helpful. Overall, the inside feels depressing, as it's always empty. It amazes me how much customer sevice has declined year after year and now its almost nonexistent! I work in retail so I know what a pain in the A$$ some customers can be, but there is still a level of the "Customer is always right" that should be maintained! Unfortunately that is not the case, especially with this younger 'Millennial ' generation (I'm not saying all Millennials are this way), I see this 'I can care less attitude' all over the retail industry. Owners of these businesses are doing little if nothing about it either! Ok sorry on to my review. I like to shoot into Ross usually in the last hour before they close, mostly empty store, quick in and quick out. There were 3 customers in the store, one was at the register, one was waiting in line and then me the third behind her. The older lady at the register had a full cart and she and the cashier were going through each item and discussing who this item was for and if she should get it and so on and on. The lady in front of me looked at me and said "Is this for real" all the while two other associates were off to the side having an in depth conversation, I finally said something to the conversationalists they glanced over and then went right back into their own world. The customer at the register gave me a nasty look and the cashier said rudely " ah we'll be with you shortly " Total time I was in line 13 minutes and they still had about a quarter basket to go. The security guard looked at us and shrug his shoulders. We left and heard not a word from anyone! I look back at these reviews on here going back 10 to 11 years and it was the same type of complaints back then , poor customer service! My question is, are we now accepting this as the norm? Cause this is not the only business I'm seeing or reading this type of service and complaints happening! It's all over from fast food, restaurants hotels etc. you name it.
