Again, good for a person who doesn't have full use of a right leg. Desk clerk very young & totally unsympathetic or just didn't care. All this for close to $400/ night. read more

The pool is made in interesting shapes and bends, very old fashioned and welcoming. The restaurant is good with an italian touch. Sooner or later they will understand that the common official dinner in Italy is Anti-Pasti - Pasta (Primi) - Entree (Secondi) and Dolce. Outstanding, Amazing, and a damned fine cup of coffee! The White House Hotel's Sunday brunch was not only a great meal but a truly great experience. The Historic White House is a Biloxi Icon was renovated recently and they did a great job! The Sunday brunch was as much an e peri eve as it was a meal. The buffet style meal offered an interesting and eclectic collection of breakfast items and a great potato dish that had an interesting name...something like "hurricane" potato's or something like that! CLEARLY it was leftovers all mixed in to form an amalgam of potato's and assorted goodies, but it was fabulous!!! The service was very attentive and engaging and the decor and environment was very pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely hit it again!! read more

The room price does not justify the nostalga of the hotel. Rooms are small and lack many of the amenities that most every hotel has. Examples - mini refrigerator, desssing table with adequate lighting for ladies to apply makeup. Bathroom is very small. No vanity at all. Very little closet space. Furniture is tattered and worn. Construction details are shotty at best. Shower doors do not close properly. Attention to detail was lacking. read more

Great boutique hotel right next to the water in Biloxi. It is part of the Choice Hotel chain but meant, I believe, to be their upscale option. The hotel grounds themselves are fantastic, especially the lobby and third flood deck. You should definitely check out the third floor and no doubt it gets jumping on the weekends. The view is wonderful. It was too cold for the pool but it definitely would be worth checking out in warmer weather. Everyone working there was friendly, especially the bartender Frank. No problems checking in and checking out and there was ample parking. My room must have been on the smaller side and I had a partial view of the water. Even though it was small than other rooms I have seen pictures of on yelp, it was larger than your average hotel room. I did not feel cramped at all. The bathroom was likewise sized well and the shower products offered were high end. There wasn't much room in the bathroom to place my toiletries and the closet was in the bathroom as well, but those were minor inconveniences. The shower was large and shower head strong and large. Bed was soft and comfy. All in all, no major complaints about the room but there was only one small piece of furnature to store my stuff (yes, I'm one of those that actually unpack). Overall the hotel is a tad pricy but I didn't feel like I necessarily overpaid too much, given the size of the room and bathroom and the amenities on the grounds. But still, it's a special occasion hotel, unless you're a daddy/mommy warbucks. Check it out sometime...you will be glad you did. read more

Hubby an I did an overnight in Biloxi and stayed at The White House. The place oozes southern charm with some very contemporary touches. The common areas are wonderful and spacious. The bar in the main lobby is definitely a hot spot for locals to meet for cocktails after work. Frank and James were manning the scene and took great care of us. Be sure and visit the third floor terrace for incredible views. Our room was a gulf view King on the 2nd floor (210) and we were able to see the gardens and pool. The room was spacious with a couch and coffee table in front of the tv for cozy viewing. There is no carpet, just an area rug under the sofa, so pack your slippers. I loved the coffee maker and waters in the room. The bathroom was interesting featuring a huge shower but no counter space. My make up case stayed on the coffee table. That was really the only drawback for me. We had a wonderful view of the Gulf of Mexico from our bathroom. The hotel was clean and quiet! I appreciated the lack of smoke and the dinging of casino machines. This is a lovely property with excellent service from the staff. I would definitely stay here again! We dined at Cora's for breakfast and the food was perfect. Serving size is huge. I ended up packing up half of mine to go. One of the sweetest touches was the small coffee server left at the table . Nancy was our caring waitress and she really made the morning bright for us! I am a wedding photographer and shoot at a lot of venues.  This is by far one of the best.  The venue is picturesque and makes for lovely photos either inside or out.  The wedding coordinator (Stephanie) on location is organized, attentive and always pleasant.  She makes the couples, the guests and the wedding vendors all feel important and attended to.  I can not recommend this enough. read more

This is devastated the place to be in the evenings! They have happy from 4-6, as well as various drink specials throughout the week. I went on a Wednesday night with a group of friends, and we enjoyed half priced wine (that's available all day). We went during HH which was fun, but unfortunately we waited a very long time for our food. The pimento sandwich was good but a bit overwhelming, and the wings were the most basic I've ever seen. Thankfully they had a large seating area in the front where we could play a game, but they don't have servers so we had to walk up to the bar to order. Wonderful historic boutique hotel! Our room was on the third floor- recommend you ask for the third floor if you stay. The third floor has a small bar in the lobby and a porch overlooking the Gulf with comfortable seating areas with gas fire pits. The pool also faces the Gulf and was a relaxing place to sit after dinner and watch the sun go down---and also has fire pits. The entire hotel was very clean--loved that there was no carpet. Stay was extremely friendly. One afternoon, we got caught in a quick thunderstorm while walking on the beach. The moment we stepped into the hotel, the staff were waiting with towels. Rooms were small but we say just bring smaller suitcases! Although bathrooms were small--we had a large walk-in shower. We dined at the restaurant a few times, including the bar area. The main lobby bar had a great selection of wine that was available by the ounce--so you could do somewhat of a wine tasting. Would definitely stay again. read more

This beautiful historic hotel was a much needed oasis on our road trip between CO & FL, the location, the food and the accommodations were amazing, but what topped it off were the staff. From the moment we walked in, until we reluctantly left, we were made to feel that the staff knew us for years and would be sad to see us go. If you stay, do yourself a favor and spend an hour (or several) at the bar and have a 4-star dinner at Cora's. The hotel has such potential to be 5 stars. It is missing something, je nais se pas. It's in need of a cohesiveness, the finishing touches to the empty bookcases that flank the front doors, that one staff member in charge of straightening the cushions on the outdoor furniture, or the pool furniture pushed to one side all day and night. The room was large but echoed with an empty feel. There are shades on the Windows that are hard to pull up. James, the bartender, was the shining star of the hotel! Friendly, welcoming, helpful. We ate dinner at the bar. Delicious fresh fish, and great wines. read more

Missed the mark on hospitality I'm honestly not sure why the reviews are so high on this place. I usually only stay at ascend brand and this was the worst of the bunch. Here are a list of my issues: 1) pool was dirty and needs a overhaul. One of the worse ascend Pools I've seen. 2) hot tub was broken, it's been broken for a while and it's not scheduled to be fixed for a while. The website doesn't say this and the agm gloats that it overlooks the ocean. It's terribly dirty. 3) Food prep was dismal. It took over 45 min for a veg omelet to be prepared in a empty restaurant. I sent it back and ordered out. 4) management and leadership are lacking professionalism. The agm was clueless, lacked empathy, unapologetic, and too bashful to offer any resolution. She literally sheepishly smiled and said wait till next day to speak with manager. Manager wrote lip service. Promised a comp and didn't. When I wrote after check out. No response. There is a issue at the top so of course it trickles down. 5) I wanted a vacation and this hotel missed the mark. 6) In response to my Trip Advisor post, the manager wrote that she gave the comps as promised, but in reality did not. Her lack of leadership continues to fall below the mark which is likely why this hotel struggles as much as it does. I don't think it's fair for a "response" from the general manager to contain false information. It's shocking! read more

Love boutique style hotels. This one was only opened in August 2014. Maybe not totally mature yet but what a gem. It is a very nice old classy building with a great view at the sea/beach. Interior is modern and loved our bedroom. Nice beds with great white linnen. No carpet, tails, so great for people with dust allergies. Must be even more perfect during the Summer (roof terass looked super and a nice pool) Great wines with many options for flights (wine testing). Dinner was ok too. For us it was just a one night stay, while heading home to Houston. But we could stay here longer for sure! read more

Beautiful restored boutique hotel on the Biloxi Beach. The decor of the hotel is modern, clean, and gorgeous. Check in is not until 4 but we were able to get our room at 2. The standard rooms are small, pretty but small. I did like the large shower but the bathroom vanity is enough to just fit the sink. They do have suites so I think I would upgrade for the next stay. The hotel includes a downstairs bar, with a very good alcohol selection, restaurant, 3rd floor bar and terrace, and pool. The pool is beautiful are overlooks the beachfront. My only complaint and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the pool service. We went to the pool at about 3pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded. There were no towels and when I finally tracked down the pool attendant/bartender he said towels would be right out. I waited 45 minutes. When I got out the pool the pool attendant was not there and I sent my husband inside to ask again. We were told towels would be right out. Needless to say the never came and I had to walk back to my room wet. Great hotel but the pool situation could be better. read more

This hotel is overall very nice and aesthetically pleasing. It seems to be a great venue for social events but not so great to actually stay in. My number one complaint is the thin walls. I could hear the tv in the room next to us and hear other people in their bathrooms. First night my wife and I were woken up at 1am by some drunk girl crying in the hallway. The next night we were woken up by little kids screaming from another room. Second complaint is the lack of room functionality. It was nicely decorated but it wouldn't hurt to put in some outlets or lamp plugs at the night stands. Also, I don't know about the smaller rooms but the TV in our room was placed to the side and not in direct view. Lastly the desk has a bunch of stuff on it (coffee maker and ice bucket) so I couldn't really use it if I wanted to...minor inconveniences but just things to note. Overall beautiful establishment. Great for parties and hanging out. But I would not stay here again for what they are charging. read more

I am writing this email on behalf of my parents.  They stayed at the White House Hotel (WHH) this past weekend from Saturday, 7/17-Monday, 7/19.  They like staying at the WHH because it is swanky, classy, and has a great atmosphere. The lobby, bar area, hallways, and guest rooms are always clean and well kept.  They decided to spend their Sunday at the pool and were horrified to see the condition of the outdoor restroom. They were expecting the same clean, well kept restrooms that are seen on the inside of the hotel; however, that is not what was presented.  I can assure you that guests would not (and should not) expect to see a restroom in the deplorable condition based on the nightly rates (my parents paid over $700 total).  There was no soap, no hand paper towels to dry your hands, it was dirty, it stunk, there were little gnats stuck to the wall and was an embarrassment for your hotel.  One would expect to have extra soap, extra hand towels, and a sparkly clean restroom given the Covid pandemic.  The lighting was very dim and made it difficult to see that the toilet was raised on a platform.  My father did not realize it was raised and almost fell onto the toilet.  We really love this hotel, but if the conditions of the outdoor restroom are not drastically improved, my family will no longer be guests of your hotel. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, i would!! The lobby was beautiful... my husband and I made a reservation for a queen sized bedroom. We got a full sized bed and paid $140 + $100 for a damage policy. Shower leaked. Walls and ceiling had water damage from leaking air conditioner. Air conditioner wouldn't work if it was lower than 72 degrees. Sinks and showers were not clean. Upon checkout the reception said we would be emailed a receipt and our damage money ($100) would be refunded. After 3 hours, no reciept and no money refunded. Called and she said the money would take 5-7 business days. Total bullshit. Do not go to this hotel. read more

I was pretty excited to book this hotel and a great evening with my wife. From all the things I've heard about this place, it was a little disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the staff was excellent. The room was smaller than I expected and the bathroom as well. The room looks really nice but just small. I attempted to move the curtains and got poked by a safety pin that was all over the curtain for some reason. So I couldn't adjust it to have a window view. The sink area was really tight, I didn't have any room to put anything on there. Before I left before dinner, I turned the air down to 69 degrees and it never got below 72 which was odd. I like my room cold when I sleep but it was warmer than I wanted. I heard a week or so later that they're going through renovations but it was never stated on their site. I will try this hotel again one day, hopefully it'll be a better experience for us. read more

However, the staff that we dealt with was complicated to work with. The hoops I had to jump through to get an early(2 o'clock check-in vs. 4) was unreal. Very friendly staff! Amazing grounds and decor. Very clean and unique they left me a sweet note since it was my birthday, gave us plenty of towels and there is a fridge and microwave. Only thing I could think of that needs improvement is the water pressure but that may be something out of their control. Also the pool and hot tub looked like they needed to be cleaned a little. There is a restaurant inside which smelled fantastic (we didn't get to try it) they have a breakfast brunch Buffett in the mornings! Definitely a sweet get-away!! Have stayed here several times and absolutely love the hotel. Hip decor, super friendly and helpful staff, great location. Nice pool and hot tub. Lovely balcony upstairs. It is gracious and comfortable with a very nice clientele in addition. It's hard to find hotel that is not a chain. This is the perfect place to stay in Biloxi - very homey. (We visited oct '19 and they are doing some major municipal repaving beside and behind the hotel. It was not an issue at all getting in and out and there was zero noise from it.) read more

HUGE FAN. 4th time to stay here and the service gets better and better. Came down with another couple for the weekend. This is one of my top 5 favorite hotels in the US and i travel for work 75% of the year. Ms. Patty (at the front desk) took us under her wing and told us of some of her favorite places to go as well as always greeted us by name when we passed the front desk. Frank and the others at the bar, made us feel welcome and engaged us in conversation making us feel like home. Had appetizers at Cara that were outstanding. Rooms were spotless and spectacular. Despite this small hotel having 3 weddings, an engagement party and a birthday party, the hotel stayed spotless the entire time we were there. Even the maintenance staff and housekeeping staff always greeted us and asked how our stay was going. Great Hotel but an even better job of hiring the right people. read more

My husband and I stayed at the White House hotel in February. The entire two-day experience was a NIGHTMARE. When we walked into our hotel room it was freezing and discovered that the thermometer was broken. The shower door was broken and would not close and the water pressure from the shower trickled out of the shower head with no water pressure. The night-shift front desk attendant said that they would upgrade us to a suite in the morning and give us a credit in the hotel's restaurant. We tried to stay out of the room as much as possible due to the frigid temperature so we decided to check out the roof top terrace that the front desk attendant highlighted as one of the hotel's premier features to find it was infested with big spiders and webs all over. We went back to our room and was woken up the next day by a rude and unprofessional phone call from Elinor at the front desk and the first thing she said was she was not going to honor anything that the night-shift attendant promised us and if we wanted to move to a different room we had to pay an additional fee. My husband and I then went to the front desk to speak to Fran, the supervisor. Fran was very rude and told us that they were not going to do anything. My husband explained to her in detail what we experienced and asked her why she was not going to honor what we were told the previous night. Fran said, "I will only honor half of what was promised to you, and just to be clear I am not going to give you any credit in our restaurant". We moved to the new room and immediately noticed there was a strong odor coming from the wall AC/ heater unit. It was so unpleasant talking to the front desk that we decide to take it upon ourselves to find a housekeeper to ask for some room spray. Soon after getting the spray from housekeeping, Fran called us and the first thing that she said was "what is the problem now" in a loud rude tone. My husband kindly told her that there was no problem and said we just asked for some spray because the room has an odor. The spray that was provided to us did not have much in it so we drove to Walmart and bought a bottle of Febreze to help eliminate the overbearing smell in the room so we could get some rest. When asked, Fran and Elinor told us that they did not have the corporate phone number and the General Manager Miranda would not be in until Tuesday. On Tuesday we called Miranda and she was very aggressive at the beginning of the conversation. She stated they were not going to refund any money to us but acknowledged the issues that she has with her staff. My husband and I travel often and have never complained about any service. It is disappointing how poor and unprofessional customer service can impact an experience. read more
