i love this place! The options they provide with their multiple locations are so convenient, you can choose whichever location is best for you and if the class at the time slot you want is full then there are multiple other options at nearby locations. The time slots are also really convenient as they have so many throughout each day, and the app makes booking classes so easy. You can even cancel (at least 24 hours before with no charge) if that time/ day doesn't end up working out for you. You can book classes right up to when they start if they still have open spots, too. The instructors are amazing and you get to know each of their styles as you take their classes (app tells you when you look to book who is teaching each class). My work schedule has me taking classes pretty consistently on the same days and I mainly work with Charlotta, Nicole, and Margot. They are all SO sweet and invested in helping each person get their maximum workout, always offering modifications for people with injuries or people who want a heavier load. The small class sizes (6 person maximum) make that so much more doable than large classes at other places. Highly recommend! read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOOOOOVE Chanel. Today was my first Pilates anything. Same with my daughter. I believe this was my sister's 3rd class. Chanel was very informative, helpful and led such a sensational and intense class. She did not make me want to quit. I hate going to gyms and the thought of trainers because of this. They make you want to give up instead of keep going. Chanel made me want to come back. And made me want to continue and do the best I could. Chanel didn't scold me, she didn't put me down, she gracefully AND patiently (oh so patiently) showed us how to have a productive and meaningful workout that really gave us a burn. I have bilateral ALC tears in which she made me feel comfortable and let me know what do say and do if I felt the need to stop. I feel good. I usually stop at the sight of any type of workout. You would literally find me in the gym restroom instead of working out. I felt as if I was in a safe place (no one laughing at what I could not do). Chanel didn't get upset because I couldn't complete some of the sets. And goodness, did I want to keep trying even after I had to stop in the middle of a few sets. I felt that I learned a lot today about what the reformer is, what it does, how to position myself and reformer safety (keep the hands and fingers away from the reformer when sliding). I had a great sweat working out. Although my sister says she couldn't see it lol. I cannot wait to come back. Chanel may have helped me find my motivation. The place itself is very clean. I've been taking Chanel's amazing Beginner Reformer class for about two months. She is patient and encouraging, while at the same time challenges me in every class. The reformer takes a bit to get used to but Chanel provides detailed instruction for each pose and gently corrects my form to build my confidence. The class size is small with ample attention from the instructor. The facility is clean and has plenty of parking spaces. read more

This is my first time taking pilates reformer a classes and I've been going for 3-4 months now. Because the classes are so small, I'm able to focus on my form. I've taken most of my classes with Linda and she's amazing! I also took a one on one class with her to start. She did a great job showing me how to use the machine and gave me tips on how to modify if my knees are hurting. They are using a new app for booking classes, and it's very easy to use. I pay for class credits instead of a monthly membership. It works best for my schedule! Just be sure to book ahead of time! read more

I've been pretty active my whole life with the exception of a few periods of laziness. After moving jobs and working back in Torrance instead of Irvine, I decided I needed to find a new fitness routine. I was really into step aerobics and weight lifting but I realized my body gained bulky muscle too quickly so I decided to opt for a lower impact/less intense workout to lengthen and lean out my muscles. I found White House Pilates through Groupon and have stuck through it for 6 months now. I started to notice small muscle definition and toning where I never thought I could get (bird flap arms, legs, and butt). The classes are very small (5 machines) and cater to a wide range of experience/skill level. Every teacher at this location is great, some focus on strength and challenging you, other are more focused on breathing and stretching. Every single one of them pays very close attention to your form. My belly pooch has noticeably deflated, my arms feel more toned, not to mention my fiance always compliments my booty. Plus, I always struggled with cellulite on the back of my thighs, that's no longer an issue. I've added pilates reformer to my workout schedule, and definitely recommend this studio to anyone, new or experienced. read more

Finding Eva was a blessing! Eva is an amazing Master Pilates instructor who's classes are balanced by professionalism, discipline, creativity, and spirituality. The workout is challenging and rewarding on many levels. In addition, Eva is trained in PT and provides alternative movements if there is a injury or limitation. (I have a metal rod fused to the majority of my spine.) I've taken Private classes (specialized to individual needs) and group classes (reformer, tower, and jump board.) After each class, I feel grateful, lighter, invigorated, and positive... Eva's spirituality flows through her Pilates classes as she is also a Reiki Master. Eva also performs individual energy flow treatments and group workshops. The energy flow treatments have been eye-opening and help me to be more self-aware. They have a great deal on Groupon (going on now) and they also offer $10 classes for their teachers in training. I love White House Pilates. The teachers here are awesome. I have taken classes mostly with Heather and Alexandra. The ambient is great and every time I go to my class the routine changes so you never get bored. Everyone is really cool, from the teachers to the people. I feel amazing during and after the class. They always remember if people have injuries and they always instruct you on how to modify if you need to. I can't recommend this place enough and I always look forward to going back. I have only gone to the Torrance location since it's the closest to where I live. Well actually the Redondo location is but I have already bonded with the Torrance location. Parking is never an issue. Pilates is the best thing I have ever done for my health. I mostly started doing it because I have lower back issues. It feels like you are getting a great workout but at the same time it feels like you are healing your body. I've been going to White House Pilates for years. I've tried almost all of the instructors and Eva is the BEST teacher. Overall it offers convenient locations across the South Bay with good classes and instructors. I attend classes in Torrance the most. The machines are maintained well and are clean. The instructors are nice, approachable, and knowledgeable. That said the classes vary quite a bit depending on who's teaching. Some instructors will dim the lights and play music while others won't even turn on music. Teaching styles and sequences also vary a lot so try a few different ones. My complaint is that despite their strict cancellation policy against students ($25 late fee if canceled within 24 hrs of class time), the instructors rather have a lot of flexibility with class times. You'll notice that the latest evening class at 7:30P in particular will suddenly disappear from class schedule. This has been difficult, sometimes frustrating for me because I can't make an earlier evening class with work schedule. Instructor rotations also change a lot so expect some inconsistency. Also they teach all levels most of the time. The good news is that you aren't required to make a specific beginners/ level 1 class. The bad news for intermediate and advanced is that the class will sometimes pace more slowly with easier moves so it won't be as challenging. They offer an intro deal on Groupon so take advantage of that. read more
