Driving in I asked my husband I asked what Kettlehead is known for an he said: Beer. Yet somehow, I can't love Kettlehead. A few things occured that damaged the experience: 1. The waitress spilled a sampler all over my wristlet and cell phone. She was oblivious but she has been spilling it the whole walk to the table! She seamed put out i asked of they had bleach wipes as we were in from out of town and i didnt want mty cell phone smelling like beer all weekend. 2. The waitress stated the coin change machine is wonky and they don't own it. The coin machine worked fine but it was the first game we played, Tokyo Drift, that ate our money. I reported it and seamed like the guy didn't care. He didn't offer me a $1 to make up for it nor did he shut down the machine after my report. I feel like if you have it in your place, you should stand behind it. An issue, it should become yours. 3. The pretzels are terrible. They are like sliced and fried with no flavor. They looked like little hot dogs. We go to a ton of breweries and this is the worst pretzel experience we have ever had. Also, the waitress told us the mustard was the beer cheese and vice versa. My kid was not to happy when she ate mustard! But also, the worst beer cheese we have encountered as well. Her excuse, she has been up since 4am. Well, my husband wasn't wrong. He raved over their beer. Nobody was impressed with their food.

Steve and I had the Triple Agent which is a Triple New England IPA. This beer was enjoyable. Flavor highlights in this one are juicy, citrus and tropical. The beer has a creamy body and gives a soft feel upon your mouth when taking a sip. While this IPA was good it didn't necessarily a beer that got etched into my mind as time passed I still had no complaints with it.

The bartender was more than friendly and we talked about all of the different beers they had on the menu. He offered samples of anything I wanted and so I opted for a flight. The beer was great, the atmosphere was amazing and the bartender fantastic. I had the "BReuben" for lunch and it was incredible! A bratwurst wrapped in pizza dough with sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing. SO GOOD! Fast forward to a week later. I brought the grandson there and we shared te Witches Warts (cheese curds) and they were awesome. The staff, as before, was more than friendly! I cannot recommend this place enough. The space seems cramped packed in with high top tables and seating at the bar with high ceilings and colorful murals. They usually have 12 Kettlehead beers on tap and packs of cans to go. The food menus are different and unique at each Kettlehead location, which I've really enjoyed. This Stevens Mill location offers a limited menu of tacos, quesadillas, rice bowls, and nachos with choices of chicken, pulled pork & brisket, plus chips & salsa. I stopped by Kettlehead Brewing Stevens Mill recently and there was trivia going on when I arrived here. For takeout, I ordered a Pulled Pork Nachos ($12 plus tax) and listened to the trivia Q&A as I waited learning about more about US geography. The good sized nachos were boxed and ready to go in about 12 minutes. The nachos were comprised of crispy nacho chips loaded with tender roasted pulled pork, tomato salsa, melted cheese, mixed veggies, and a chipotle crema sauce, very well made and tasty. I will definitely get some tacos from this Kettlehead on my next visit!

We came over to ski Tenney Mountain during one of the coldest days of the year. Below zero weather, wind, but the snow was pure fluff. And despite the slow lifts, the skiing was superb. Still, six runs in that temperature with a stiff wind took the energy out of me. That's when the Backcountry Bar and Grill came through with a superb Irish Coffee that allowed me to be back after thawing out, with new energy and desire to ski. We then came over here for an early Apre Ski. Five people had superb brews, superb Ultimate Grilled Cheese, awesome Chicken Sandwich. And a Backcountry Pulled Pork with an Apple bourbon barbecue sauce that had me licking my fingers. The bartender was the best I've seen in New England. We will be back because Tenney is one awesome ski mountain and because this wonderful venue makes it complete for customer experience.
