My husband's filet mignon lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes were gummy and translucent. They should not have been served. My salmon special came out with the wrong sides, not once, but twice. They tried to give me those disgusting mashed potatoes and green beans, when the specials page said pilaf and asparagus. When I finally got the rice pilaf, it lacked seasoning. The asparagus were blackened. After being sent back twice, the salmon was warm, not hot. The pub food may be good. The one consistent bright spot is Jade at the bar -- she's fantastic and the only person we reliably get great service from. We also really miss Thursday Bingo. On top of that, the staff and people there are amazing. They are kind, efficient and resourceful. On my last visit, I was stranded without my keys (don't ask - a real bonehead move involving a car that needs a key nearby in order to start but will run anywhere once it is started) and they found a way to get me to my friend's house and back so I could start my car. Their pretzel sticks are superb, and we tried two of their pizza selections that left us licking our fingers. Service was flawless. The server we had knew her beers well and her recommendations were spot on. The clientele was festive, happy and congenial, lending the brew house a wonderful ambiance. Vulgar opened just months before the pandemic hit. They not only survived and were one of the sources of great local beers, but now they are a full brew restaurant serving delicious food. We'll be back repeatedly.
