We were staying in Frisco, Colorado, and our niece was scheduled for a 9:00am snowmobile tour. There was considerable early morning snow. We were able to travel on I-70 to the Copper Mountain exit at Hwy 91 as road crews had been working to clear the Interstate, but there had been no road work on Hwy 91 at all. We tried to drive on Hwy 91 for about two miles, but finally had to turn around for safety. We called White Mountain Snowmobile Tours while still in our car and talked to Judy. Judy was very rude and condescending and said we should have continued on despite the dangerous road conditions and said they were keeping my niece's money. I have rarely experienced such bad customer service and highly recommend anyone wanting to try snowmobiling to choose a different vender. read more

This was THE MOST FUN EVER!!! Oh my gosh I'm so happy we did this, my husband and I had the BEST time!!! They are so organized, well ran, have literally anything you need (helmets, boots, snow suits, etc) and the location is the most beautiful place I've ever been. I highly recommend the adventure tour! Loveeeee how they had a photographer to take pictures and the guides are awesome. So basically here's how it works... you show up 30 min early to get ready, do a quick lesson, practice on flat land for about 10 min getting comfortable going fast, then the large group of around 30 breaks into small groups. They take you to the most amazing places on the mountain and it's SO fun. Towards the end you stop at a small little building for some hot chocolate then head back down. Through our resort we got a discount, but do expect to tip your guide at the end for service. This was the best and so worth the drive from our Breckenridge resort!! read more

This is unfortunate because this place use to be my go to tour when my family and friends come to town every year. We have had many tours at this site and this unapologetic customer service this time has completely turned me off on ever wanting to return. While I know our circumstances is not their responsibility we did have some horrible luck today. We were scheduled for a noon tour and the rental car unfortunately had a flat tire. So we were able to rebook to the 3PM tour. I was able to convince a friend of mine to give us a ride to that tour and believe it or not, on our way up for the second scheduled tour, you guessed it...we had another flat tire. Two cars, one day, two flats! We then called to ask to see if we could rebook for tomorrow. Between Beverly and Judy they made sure we understood that this was not their problem and they would not rebook us. WE DID NOT ASK FOR A REFUND! Just wanted the opportunity to rebook. Our friends from out of town were even going to change their flights back home just so we could go to the tour. After my wife's cousin had a very lengthy conversation with Judy the manager. She informed us that there was no availability so she would not rebook us. At which point we went to check availability on their online system. That shows 15 slots available. Three of us are VETERANS and that shouldn't really matter because good customer service typically would do anything to ensure that their customers have a good experience. This was not their concern and like us said, what has seemed to become an annual place for us to go will no longer receive our business. Yes they "potentially" lost some money based off our misfortune not to be able to make our scheduled times but they have now lost our future business which usually consists of 5 or more people. Took a day off skiing and wanted to share a little outdoor adventure with our boys. From the moment we arrived Aidan and Leland (our guides) were kind, welcoming, fun, funny and filled with awesome knowledge of the mountains, nature, the zip line facility and all kinds of other interesting facts (good jokes and snowball tricks too)! Awful experience and managment. We called twice to make sure our son could be a passenger and once there they stated that he could not do it, the manager excuse - "we have people answering the phone that don't know all of our rules". Result my wife and kid had to stay in a tent for 2 hours waiting until the tour was completed. After the rest of the party was done, they asked my wife for tip, she obviously declined and they were severely disrespectful. In addition they take your credit card and make you completely liable for the snowmobile. Multiple costumers were charged 100s of dollars for questionable damages with no crashes. read more

First time snowmobiling! Went with my mom on their family tour, which is the less advanced/beginner tour. We came prepared with the right clothes. But in case we needed anything, they had goggles, ski bibs, boots, and helmets (we did need helmets). Checking in was pretty quick and painless. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were also dogs roaming around to pet while we waited to get on the van before driving out to the starting point. Riding out, our tour guide on the bus did a good job keeping us entertained with local history and some witty banter. It was a pretty short drive to the starting point, which was nice. Once we got to the starting point, we had a decent orientation on how to use and ride a snowmobile. Didn't take long, but long enough to be thorough. Then we set out on the tour! Along the way, there were multiple tour guides looking out for the group and helping anyone that needed some extra advice on driving. They even had some small snowmobiles in safe open area where kids could get a little riding in, which I thought was great. There was a large track the adults got to drive around to practice turning and go faster, which was fun. But best of all, we got to explore some pretty amazing snow mountainside areas of Colorado. We were basically driving around what are normally roads in a camp ground, trails where you wouldn't be able to drive, and stopped by a lake that was frozen over and full of snow. It was a pretty great tour. Also, our tour guide (see first photo) was fun, helpful, and accommodating (my mom asked to stop at a specific place on the way back). Oh, also. I recommend getting the photo package when you're done. They took so really great shots! And it was pretty affordable, too. At least check it out. It was also pretty great that they sent me the photos to my iPhone on the spot with AirDrop! I definitely recommend White Mountain if you're considering doing a snowmobile tour. One of the best snowmobile rides we have taken in Colorado! The day of our tour the weather was below zero, nearly a white out with the wind and snow but we had so much fun! Our guides were fun and kept the kids happy despite the weather. They had mini snowmobiles for the kids to drive. That was so fun to see them speed around the track! Another great option was buying pictures that the photographer took along our ride. They turned out amazing and it was so nice that we didn't have to try and snap pictures on our own. I was here last year so it was a simple decision to decide to return again when. I came this year. This time I picked the tour I did not take last year. This year I picked the high mountain adventure and boy was that a good choice! If you have some previous experience with snow mobiles this is the tour you want. Single riders only, so you know this tour is going to move along faster than the other tours that have inexperienced riders and double riders. On this tour you have your own guide for you or your group. It was just me so I had my own private guide, unreal! It was 2.5 hours of riding a few trails to the open areas where we made a couple stops for pictures. The views were incredible. The weather was perfect too, 35 to 40 deg and little wind. Perfect. One thing about this place, it is White Mt Snowmobile tour but they have a lot of websites so if you find breckenridge snowmobile or vail snowmobile or copper snowmobile or many others then you have found this place. They have many websites all pointing to this same place near Leadsville. Go here!! My guide on this trip was Josh and he was a super guide, thanks Josh, great ride! BUT in a great way! all 6 lines were super fun, and then we finished our afternoon with the performance tour. The views were absolutely stunning the whole time. My family of five did the family snowmobile tour. Our kids are 12,18 and 20 and they loved it. Even the youngest, who obviously couldn't drive on his own, was able to drive a smaller snowmobile in the practice area which made his day! Joe LeBlanc was our tour guide and was fabulous! I've never dealt with customer service as RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL as White Mountain Snowmobile Tours. I've done the performance tour with them before and had no issues. This year, I booked the same tour for 6 people but due to covid, they are no longer providing transportation. After booking a car service for us, the car service cancelled last minute after they realized they wouldn't get any cell service around the snowmobiling location. I also called other shuttles and car services with no luck. I called White Mountain to see if I could reschedule to a later time and after explaining my situation, their receptionist grunted and began to explain that this was their most popular tour and we reserved 6 snow mobiles which would now go unused. But if she took the time to even LOOK at my reservation, she would have seen that I actually said the wrong date as I quickly realized. I didn't even bother correcting her because she barely let me get 2 words in and I finally said "I didn't call to hear all these rude side comments, I'm calling to see if you have any suggestions", and all she could say was "it's not my problem. All I know is it's 11 and you need to be here at 11:30", then she continued to lecture me by basically saying how irresponsible I was and giving me all this unnecessary info as if to make me feel guilty. I had her on speaker for my party to hear and everyone was SHOCKED at how she could scold me as if I was a child. She was beyond rude, so unprofessional, lacked understanding and compassion, and had a nasty attitude. She was clearly trying to make me feel stupid and small. Needless to say, none of us thought they deserved our business and absolutely no one wanted to go for our correct scheduled tour. I will never give this place my money again and I would NEVER recommend them after that absurd and ill-mannered encounter. read more

Our tour guide Alex, was extremely knowledgeable about the snowmobiles, about the experience, and about the area. We were here today for the "prospector" snowmobile tour. This was our first time riding snowmobiles. We were a little hesitant to book the prospector tour thinking it would be too "kiddy," slow, and/or boring. At a rate of basically $200 total, I felt the value was definitely there. It was a good mix of riding; mountain trails, open lake, turns and a a couple spots with wide open speed (there were no children in our group). The riding was fun and the views were great. OMG. That was flipping amazing. WAY better than I thought. I booked the performance adventure tour which is a 2 hour tour up the mountain. And I mean literally up the mountain, it goes right up above the tree line and up to about 12,000 feet or so. The team are great. Our guide Alan was fantastic, very focused on safety but definitely let us have a blast. I was lucky to be in a relatively small group of people that all picked it up quickly. The experience was very varied, from going fast over the low lying flats, to speeding through the forest trails, to tearing through steep half-pipe style walls of snow above the tree line. We even got the occasional small jump in. Started off with a quick safety tour of the bike (they are pretty easy to get to grips with). Then a quick 10 minute warm up test circuit. Then the 5 of us headed up the mountain. We only stopped a couple of times over the 2 hours of mountain time. It was very varied terrain. And we went FAST. I had an awesome time and will be coming back here again for sure. A little sore today but nothing too bad, the machines are actually quite demanding and take a bit of effort to maneuver quickly around corners. Checking in was easy. All I needed was a Helmet and they let you just grab one. When I finished I bought a CD of my photos. The photos were incredible, she did a real great job. And fantastic price at just $25 for the lot. Nice not to be gouged. They do one tour that is more advanced than this one and so I will come back for that next year ... after a big dump. read more

After that we were assigned a guide and did a few practice runs before heading out on the trails. During our ride my snowmobile sank into some very deep snow. Awesome tour! Definitely nerve wrecking at first but it becomes fun the more you get used to it. Along the way theres parts that make you nervous like small spots through trees to drive through, and being right at the edge of the mountain, but it's a great experience. Liked the fact that they gave us amazing hot chocolate before the tour was almost over. The only thing my boyfriend and I would have liked more is if they had an open area where they let you go crazy on your own for longer than 4 minutes. Also I noticed that we went to the same spots a lot of times and for 150$ I feel like they could've ventured out more. read more
