We were a couple minutes late, and it finished early, so instead of a full 60 minutes, I got 45. But despite the shortened massage finishing before an hour, I still had to pay for the full price! They were flexible with scheduling and contact via email, but my therapist wasn't engaging and didn't talk much. My friend enjoyed her massage, and her therapist was great- both of them had just the right touch!

Very glad I was wrong... this was seriously one of the BEST (if not the best) massages I've ever had. The women were professional, friendly and generated relaxing vibes. The woman working on me found places I was holding tension and knots in my body that I had no idea existed. By the end of the session, I felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated. I was also provided with stretching techniques, which I really appreciated. I've gone to a bunch of places before and no one has ever offered stretching techniques. We will definitely be back! Alas, no place is perfect, so here are a few of the downsides: There is some background noise from surrounding businesses that can be heard above the music, there is only one chair in the waiting area which was a little awkward, and most importantly, couple's massages here cost less than at the Art of Touch, which is also located in Newington (see my review for there as well).

Denise is a trim, very strong woman. She gave me a deep tissue massage. It was very deep and very wonderful! She found places that had knots and hurt that I didn't realize. She did a great job mending my body. Denise is a Licensed Massage Therapist. Her massage room is spotless and pleasant. It is located in her house in a residential area. She had a number of candles burning. We had quite a lively conversation while she was giving me the massage. The draping towel is quite small. It took her almost six months of coming three times a month but she was able to relieve my acute as well as chronic distresses and imbalances. Therapist refused to honor expired Groupon according to Groupon's terms. Groupon stated that my…read moreGroupon was always worth the $45 I paid for it, "from now to eternity." However, when I contacted the merchant, and referenced the new client one hour massage on his website for $40, he told me I'd owe an additional $20. That makes a massage $65, not $40. His response was "Yes, but I do not even get 1/2 of what the groupon is sold for. The $20 brings the total that I get paid up to the new client special." That's so SHADY. This therapist is the one who chose to go through Groupon. I did not force him to advertise on Groupon. He knew what he would make on each Groupon, and still go ahead with selling the Groupons. You make a choice, you need to live with it, not penalize your potential clients. So now, I will never be a client. And I will tell all of my friends not to be clients. Because no one wants to get ripped off by a greedy person who was happy to use Groupon to get advertising for his business, but not actually happy to follow their rules. Certainly, I don't think I should have to pay $25 extra for my massage over the advertised new client price, simply because the therapist now regrets his advertising choices. So, I contacted Groupon and they gave me my money back. So I've been made whole (thanks only to Groupon), but wanted to be sure to warn all potential customers about this therapist's suspect business practices. If you've already purchased a Groupon, don't even attempt to use it, just contact Groupon to get your money back!!
