    Mozzarella sticks
    Greg B.

In a local group I'm in on Facebook I've been seeing someone post about nightly specials that White Rabbit has, so I figured I'd give them a shot for a fish fry. I ordered beer battered perch with potato pancakes, two extra pieces of hand breaded perch so I could try both kinds of their perch, and mozzarella sticks. Even though I specifically asked twice over the phone for two pieces of hand breaded perch, I was only given one piece and charged for one piece. Although that annoyed me, I'm kind of glad in retrospect because the breading had no flavor at all. Other than the texture it was like I was literally eating unbreaded perch. Absolutely not worth $2 extra per piece. Also, I found it odd that since I ordered perch, I could only ask for additional pieces of perch. I initially tried to ask for additional pieces of cod and was told that bizarre rule. Since I was getting two different breadings I didn't think the kind of fish would matter, but apparently it does. As for the beer battered perch, there was a hint of beer, but the breading had no other flavor besides that. At least the breading was light and crispy. The potato pancake (not cakes because I only received one) was cooked well and had good flavor, but paper thin so it did not last long. The mozzarella sticks were well sized and perfectly crispy. I thought the cheese was a little sharp in flavor, but that's more of an observation than something bad. No one seemed to caring about the current COVID-19 situation. Not a single employee or customer was wearing a mask or distancing. I even felt like I was being judged by a couple of the burly, "tough" guy customers as I came in and walked towards the bar because I was wearing one. Didn't make for a welcoming atmosphere. There are a couple other things on the menu I saw pictures of that look good, but I'm not sure I'll be back given how my food experience and ordering/pickup experience went.

Stoped in after a soccer tournament. Wish we would've came after yesterdays game too...it was that good! I had the mushroom and Swiss burger and love that it was actually fresh mushrooms. Cheese curds were also delish. Hubby had the hottest wings...had to laugh that they wanted to him to try the seasoning first lol But what great customer service to provide! That's what will keep us going back when in the area!

The White Rabbit! The best bar in the area, real people real food really good times with music and a great atmosphere. Not high class but just the right class blue collar.

Homeplate Asylum Sports Bar, which is located where the former Laura's Donges Bay Clubhouse used to…read morebe, isn't far from where I live and didn't have any reviews or pictures as of when I reviewed them, so my family and I took a chance on lunch so I could upload menu and food pictures. One kid ordered a BBQ chicken wrap without the BBQ sauce or tomatoes and got fries for the side, my wife and other kid split a half pepperoni and half cheese pizza, and I got a Caesar chicken wrap with sour cream cheddar cheese tater tots for my side. We also got mozzarella sticks and wings with a sweet and sassy BBQ sauce. The mozzarella sticks were Italian breaded, which I like. They tasted good, but $9.50 for seven sticks that are on the smaller side is a bit much. The wings, however, were great. Decent size and you get 10 of them for $12. The older kid that didn't want BBQ sauce in his wrap ended up enjoying two of the wings, which has a subtle kick to the sauce. We'd get these again. The pizza had a little too much sauce, but it wasn't hard for my wife to scrape off some of it. She and the younger kid both like the pizza, which is good because the younger one can be quite picky at times. Both the older kid and I enjoyed our wraps. I thought mine in particular had a good amount of really crunchy chicken. He liked his fries even though I thought the one I tried was a little bland. I appreciate that the tots seemed homemade, but I really didn't taste the cheddar or the chive, so I probably wouldn't get those again for the $5 up charge.

Date of visit: July 2, 2026…read more I came here with a friend after her daughter raved about it and it was overall a nice meal. The restaurant is slightly awkward in its layout, with a small dining area and a bar in the front plus a larger dining area in the rear. We were promptly greeted by the bartender and given a larger than necessary table--though it did let us spread out a bit so I wasn't too worried about it. We could not see how busy the rest of the restaurant was but we imagined it was fairly steady given the wait. Since we had not seen each other in a while the time passed easily and we didn't mind the wait. Staff was all nice and friendly and ensured that our water glasses were kept full. My Kickin' Bourbon Burger was pretty good, though the tots on the side were a bit underwhelming in terms of portion. Meanwhile my friend's portion of chips was taking over her plate and we were both looking for a bit more moderation in our side items! If you wanted something spicy, this is not the one! That was good for me but may not be what you were looking for. I thought it odd that I wasn't asked for what temperature I wanted my burger and probably would have appreciated it a tad less done than what I received, but overall it was a pretty decent burger. The bourbon sauce was tangy without being too sharp and the pretzel bun was good, if a bit manhandled in appearance.

We ordered the jalapeño poppers which were frozen in the middle, and a burger that was watery…read more Watched as the older female waitress sat in the corner on her phone, and tried to walk away immediately after checking on the table when we wanted to order drinks. Terrible service, poor food. The bartender seemed like a nice kid but we won't be back.
