Photo from the rear room of the restaurant. There's plenty of tables for a nice, quiet lunch with friends.

We were in Cedarburg at the Wisconsin Quilt Museum and stopped here for an early lunch. I had their Reuben sandwich and an order of fries and my wife had the Cowboy Pancakes. Others in my party had their award-winning chili. My Reuben and the Missus' pancakes were delicious. My fries were a bit soggy and the sandwich bread was a bit greasy but that didn't get in the way of deliciousness. She declared the pancakes great and the portion ample. Those having the chili also gave it a thumbs up. I had their chili during an earlier visit and it was indeed worthy of entree status. The restaurant has a small town vibe and the wait staff was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. If you're looking for a place for a good, cheap lunch, brunch or breakfast, look no further.

The food was so good! Service was excellent. Sweet little breakfast spot in Cedarburg with diner type ambience. Absolutely will be back! Loved it.

such a great local breakfast joint. gives off the diner vibe, but with lots of charm & creative items on the menu. staff is always so kind & warm. I try to have something new each time & everything has been fantastic. normally not a sweet breakfast person but love their pancakes (which is a testament to how good they are!). if I had to choose a favorite it would probably be the gyro skillet, love the gyro meat & all the fixin's.

Quaint little diner in Cedarburg, with a charming atmosphere and friendly service. Food was great, service was friendly, and everything overall was a lovely experience. The burger was seriously huge and with all the bells and whistles. Thank you for serving lettuce and tomatoes! The Meat Lovers Skillet was great with the hash on the side, though just a tad on the salty side. Fried chicken steak was meh though.

My friend has been here a few times and had been raving about how good the pancakes were, so we set up a breakfast date. Unfortunately she cancelled on me but I had been looking at the menu and knew I had to go either way. I was seated by myself and ordered the works skillet with the fresh apple pancakes. The skillet was probably the best I've ever had and the pancakes were even more delicious. I could eat them without the apple sauce type of stuff they give you to eat on top. I didn't need regular maple syrup either. I went during a week day and was able to get in and out quickly. I will definitely be back for the fresh apple pancakes and may force myself to try one of the other delicious pancake or waffle flavors.

Amazing service. I checked out this place by myself on a busy Sunday morning durning the holidays. Got a seat at the bar and had a great meal! Other patrons & staff were very friendly.

The high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams were great. Our group we seated upstairs and it was pretty quiet. Everyone loved what they had. We all mostly got sandwiches/burgers and the various sides were delicious. We really liked the onion rings, potato salad and seasonal veggies. Our server was patient with us when we didn't know what we'd have with both drinks and meals. The team was quick to get our orders out and whisk away used plates/silverware. Would recommend if you're in the area. It was too cold for the patio to be opened yet but we will definitely come back for that in the summer. Great views.

We loved the ambiance, and the service we received was excellent. For starters we ordered the cheese bites and the mushroom "soup of the day" For main course, she had the Short Rib Sandwich and I had the Cedarburg Cranberry Salad with blackened Salmon. For desert, the flourless chocolate cake. The Rib Sandwich and soup were good. (3.5 Stars). The Salad/Salmon were okay (3 stars), and the cake was awful. (Probably put in the microwave for two minutes and then brought to the table) It even looked ugly sitting there on the plate. My drink special was weak. All the customers seemed to be having a good time. The place was lively and it's probably worth a visit for the service and ambiance. However this is not a place to go for good/tasty food based on our experience.

The first thing you see are the large brewing tanks where they make their signature beers. Then there is a collection of various tap heads. We arrived as they opened on a Saturday, so seating wasn't a problem. I decided to order the double smash burger with fries. The burger consists of two smashed beef patties, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, garlic aioli, on a sciortino's brioche bun for $16.50. The order was out quickly. The burgers were cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. The cheese was melted and ozzed down the sides. The lettuce, tomato, and red onion were fresh and added a crispness to the burger. The fries were crispy and lightly salted. I was able to sample 2 of their IPA beers to decide which one I wanted. The Punch IPA was hoppy with strong citrus notes. The Hazy IPA was not as hoppy and did not have citrus notes. The later was my personal favorite. I ended up getting a 6 pack to go. Just off 1-43, it is easy to get to and worth coming back to.

The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, I asked about the baby back ribs and was told that this was one of the chef's specialties. They were okay, however, not good enough for me to recommend. (Three Stars at best). I did like the crock of French Onion Soup with a pretzel roll. Quite tasty and a winner for flavor. (four and 1/2 stars). The cheesy potatoes were dry and smothered with corn flakes. Ugh.... (Two Stars). I liked the garlic toast. The wife ordered the Philly Burger on a Gluten Free bun. She thought the bun was very good, but the burger was overcooked, a bit dry and lacked flavor. In hindsight, she said that she should have told the waiter she wanted it cooked "medium" She loved the coleslaw. Overall, The Flip Side seems like a good restaurant that does a great job serving and supporting the local community. We noticed kid's from the nearby high school drinking sodas and enjoying each other's company. Great Ambiance - Lots of light and comfortable I'm guessing that Flip Side is better for breakfast than lunch or dinner. Although not crowded on this late winter afternoon, we did notice that all the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves.
