Luckily, Sheryl's Club 175 isn't far from Slinger, was open, and had wings on the menu. I ordered a dozen wings to go with "The Rub". "The Rub" is really just Caribbean jerk. Nothing mysterious about it other than the name on the menu. It had some heat and good flavor. They could have used more of it on the wings and I wouldn't have complained. I thought the wings were well sized. They are fried, but have no breading to speak of, so not much of a crunch to them. Still good though. Probably not a new go to place for wings for me just based on their location, but I'd get them again if I'm in the area.

There were four tables around us that came to the restaurant after we got there, and all got their food before us. He came back and said that the waiter told him that the food should be out any minute. Then the guy who was at the counter who took our order, came over to the table a couple minutes later and said "that was my bad guys, I forgot to hit fire, it'll be about 20 minutes", meaning he forgot to send the order to the kitchen. We waited over an hour before he finally came and told us that. Our food came out about 25 minutes later, and then we left shortly after we finished eating. My friend and her boyfriend said the salmon was OK, but it wasn't great. I really enjoyed my fish fry, especially the potato crusted one. I also tried the potato cakes and they were mediocre and not hot. Overall, super disappointed with this entire visit. They didn't come out and apologize, they didn't offer anything, and it was just a really terrible experience overall having to wait that long. Period.

I got the Manhattan off their specialty menu and my husband got their autumn barrel Manhattan. After trying both--highly recommend the one off their specialty menu. It was definitely superior quality. It's served over a block of ice so if you want it up, you may want to mention that when ordering. It tasted more like a classic old fashioned than a Manhattan but I'm not complaining because I love classic bourbon old fashioned cocktails as well. For a starter we got their much raved about bang bang shrimp. It came on a bed of greens and was good! For my dinner I got their seasonal chicken and dumpling soup and a side salad. Both were solid. The salad was definitely more ample than I was expecting. My husband got some sort of salmon alfredo pasta dish that came with roasted asparagus mixed in. I had a bite and he ordered well--it was decadently buttery and delicious. The service was super kind throughout our stay. Our server checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. Get to it!
