We were initially attracted to Konstantin's online portfolio from Moscow, and he did not disappoint! Konstantin completed my Slash tattoo in about five hours and I couldn't be happier. Konstantin pays meticulous attention to the smallest details, with the final product speaking for itself. Konstantin has a very bold and diverse skill set, as shown by his ability to work with color, black and gray, and portraits. The artist was great. I had a good meeting with her. My rating comes from the fact, that the day of my appointment I got very sick. I called and wrote them requesting that my appointment be moved to the following week. I had already put down a deposit of of $230. They told me in order to rebook the session I'd have to pay another 230. The work I wanted done was a 4 word phrase, which would have ended up costing me almost $600. I'm sure they are a good studio but this policy seems outrageous to me. I understand and accept that I lose my deposit for not showing up, sick or not. That's fair, but to not apply it to a future session and expect me to pay twice? That's just bad business. read more

The artist, Gee, went above and beyond to create an image based off the ones I provided that not only captured the essence of my beloved late dog, but added touches that brought it into the realm of spiritual tribute. Incredible service, my artist Ali was very nice and SO talented. You could really tell he enjoyed creating a piece of art as opposed to just going through the motions of tattooing a person. I got my tattoo done right before COVID started shutting everything down and even before they had to reopen the cleanliness was above and beyond what I've seen at other shops. The shop manager was very polite with going through paperwork with me, and Koral did an amazing job on my tattoo. I'm still obsessed with my tattoo, it healed beautifully. Just to add for anyone who's a darker shade than pictures depicted (like me), I got a B/W tattoo. I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Mal, she is beyond talented. I was afraid of getting tattooed again after 7 years but the second I walked in Mal and the receptionist made me feel comfortable. Emailed twice about a tattoo I wanted touched up that I had done there in summer 2017. Never received a response after two weeks so I called and the first call I was disconnected but second they finally picked up. Girl on phone initially denied that they could do it and I told her that i remembered the policy was free touch ups for tattoos that were done there! She started to go on about how after a certain time frame they don't usually do it and how they would have to get that artist in - really just got the vibe that it wasn't worth it for them. When I asked what happens if the artist doesn't work there anymore she said "that sucks for you" seriously shook. I've never experienced such bad customer service. I cannot say enough about this tattoo parlor! I had two previous tattoos prior to my experience at white rabbit, so I'm used to the atmosphere of parlors and what to expect. I decided on a whim to finally pursue my third in the morning of a week day, checked my local neighborhood for highly rated parlors and stumbled upon white rabbit. The counter lady was fabulous & helpful and told me that it was luckily a day with walk-ins available. Jerra took me at 7 pm event though the shop closes at 8. She was so kind and accommodating and stayed past close to finish my tattoo, adding any extras I wished for after the initial process. I went here as a walk-in while on a trip to NYC with friends. We chose White Rabbit because of the many excellent Yelp reviews. We were impressed with the look of the shop, but the attitudes SUCKED. If you don't want walk ins, please just say, "Sorry, we don't do walk-ins." Instead we were advised to wait and see, but treated like an inconvenience. I wanted a very simple tattoo on my wrist that I'd been thinking about for a long time- an anchor with two stars on my wrist. Bradley did the tattoo and it's atrocious. Uneven, blown out, basically it looks like a prison tattoo or like I let my five-year-old draw on me with a Sharpie. Utterly terrible. I already have an appointment elsewhere to try and fix it. Oh, and the guy left me sitting there while he smoked a cigarette during a ten minute tattoo. They denied my friend a tattoo at all saying the design she had in mind was "not their thing". Huh? It was also a simple design, so no idea what that was about. I respect tattoo artists as just that- artists. But I'd advise them not to forget that they are also in the customer service business. On that vein, the shop had an offer on Yelp for free tattoo after care products that they refused to honor. Overall, terrible customer service and one messed up tattoo. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. My friend who was denied got a beautiful tat down the street at VENUS MODERN BODY ARTS. Wish I'd been lucky enough to be told my tat wasn't "their thing". I've had two pieces done here by Mikhail and he is an incredible artist. My first one is simple, single line of the NYC skyline on my inner left arm (there may be a photo on yelp in the gallery above?), and that was a walk-in appointment, where no one gave me grief, likely because I walked in right after they opened requesting a 10 minute tattoo, not mid-day wanting a 2 hour piece. I went back 8 months after the first one for another from Mikhail and FYI: I had to wait four months after my consultation for the actual appointment. He's busy, and for good reason. The rib piece is insane in the best way. Mikhail is quiet and he doesn't try to be your best friend - he's there to tattoo, not talk. Which is totally fine with me, because when I'm trying my best not to writhe in pain in the third hour of a watercolor rib tattoo, the last thing I want to do is have someone engage me in a conversation. I gave him pretty free reign with the design and I'm glad I did: the most common things I hear about the piece when people see it are "It looks like a painting!" and "I didn't even know people could do that with a tattoo!" Look, everyone has different expectations when you get a tattoo, so I'm sure some of the people in other reviews that are losing it over aspects like "a busy shop wouldn't take my walk-in" were expecting an experience like you see on tattoo shows, where the artists are available the minute you want them, talk to you for hours, listen to all your problems, hold your hand and you leave best friends. I expected to get a quality tattoo from a quality shop, and I did - everything else, like the funny jokes I did exchange with the artists, was just gravy. I have every intention of going back here for any and all additional work and would recommend WRT to everyone with reasonable expectations about a tattoo experience. read more

Awesome, professional place. Incredibly clean lines. I got mine done by Jess and I lovee it. Her style works with your body structure and that's exactly what I was looking for. She drew her design first with Sharpie, and then listened to my feedback and revised some parts. Equipment is clean, and she makes sure you're comfortable. Full disclosure - I wound up NOT getting a tattoo here. I got two tattoos at Holistic Tattoo in Los Angeles, which appealed to me because of a health concern and wound up to be a wonderful experience. But there was always a plan for a 3rd visit to tie the first 2 together. However I'm in NY for a while so I didn't think it would be that hard to find a similar place in or near NYC. Wrong. So every search I do hits White Rabbit first. I called 6 months ago and got no reply. So I emailed. TWO WEEKS later I got a curt response from a woman, I'm pretty sure it was June. "I'm not sure what you mean by holistic tattoo but our ink is the highest quality." So no answer to my question. No response to trying to make an appointment. I browsed through their Instagram account and I already felt that any of the artists in this shop really know their craft. I walked in for a consult and Casey at front desk asked Logan if he can do my design. He asked me about how I want my tattoo and all the stuff. I got a date for the tattoo session. I showed up with a friend (always ask the shop/artist if its okay to bring a support person), I am really nervous expecting for a lot of pain since its my first and its in my chest. Where to begin? Honestly the best part of this tattoo place was Casey the front desk receptionist she provided great and funny conversation and catered to me by giving me water and even a heater since I was shivering. My artist Jerra on the other hand has ZERO customer service skills. She didn't speak to me throughout the entire process she spoke to her coworkers and such but didn't bother to make me feel comfortable, I tried to make conversation and she was short with me. When I came for my second session she was even worst than the first time and she was using large needles and even getting confused on her own line work!!! All this caused me more pain so when I asked her for a 3rd session instead of just 2 she denied me and said she needed it finished for her portfolio! Told me she'd get me water and some candy. She literally treated me like a canvas and not a client. I literally spent so much money on this tattoo and it isn't even finished!! To then have her say "it looks unpolished because my client had to tap out, as it suddenly became to painful for her........Give it a little more credit and the artist who's doing it." Moral to my story is artist should treat clients as clients not canvas' and you should always stick to your original artist. Biggest regret ever! read more
