So friendly, happy to help out with whatever we needed and were happy to let me sit and talk with with my aunt after we finished eating, who I was visiting while on a work trip. It was my first visit to Johnel's restaurant. It was packed in there because they had an inhouse generator that kept the place open for business. It was like Brookfield zoo in there, very crowded and it appears some the animals escaped captivity and came here for breakfast. My breakfast was adequate but nothing above and beyond. The ham was thin, with burned areas and not off the bone as I like it, but oh well. The coffee was bitter, I probably could have scrubbed and cleaned a frying pan with it. I was hungry, the price was right and I was satisfied. The service was good. My server was painfully pierced and tattooed and if the wind got a hold of her, she's look like a sheet of wallpaper flying down the street. There is no accounting for good taste in presentation these days. Johnel's wasn't bad but sure wasn't the best! All depends on how hungry or picky you are. Bon Appetite!

No problem but why did I have to go ask after waiting 15 min for a drink when the place had about 11 people in it? Also, we went for drinks/food before a show at the Hard Rock (20 min away) after it was highly recommended by people doing the same as us- stopping before a show. We really wanted the cheese curds. Maybe a burger but none if it was available for some reason or another. Could you update your website? The website indicated none of this which would've been extremely helpful. We were hungry and wanted a cocktail!! Otherwise, I'd given all 5 because it is a cool place and friendly. Our waiter was great.

We got out and saw the sign on the door at the old building that they moved. So glad we got out the car and saw the new address and we went to check it out! We LOVED THE VIBE! Reminds me of downtown Las Vegas where I used to live. It's a cool spot! The staff, Michelle and Greg were so awesome! We enjoyed hearing some downtown Hammond history. The smash burger? OMG! The best I've had since I've moved to the Midwest! It was cooked right on the grill! Fresh! Hubby had the Caesar wrap and it was delicious! We so enjoyed the space, our time and the conversation! Can't wait to return!

The wonderful customer service driven young lady who answered the phone confirmed she'd received my orders and prepared them and multiple drivers had come but not taken delivery. UberEats is the way to go. I highly recommend the curly fries, grilled cheese sandwich (add bacon--everything tastes better with bacon), patty melts and onion rings. Be careful with the "hotdogs" because they are more akin to a polish sausage than a Vienna Beef hotdog--still delicious but just an FYI. So the very best thing about this place are the milkshakes, especially the Green River Milkshake which harkened me back to my youth and this shake at Goldblatts or the bus turnaround on 63rd & South Park (now King Dr. and its long gone). Great place dine in, take out or delivery!

Ordered the cheese burger with everything and decided last minute on the Irish nachos since I heard people review them. The burger was a nice size and cooked well. It was delicious, I enjoyed it. The Irish nachos, not so much. It was a heap of sodium city omg I didn't really eat them. So the cheese is the ultra processed cheese on them so it was super salty. You got the salt from the fries, the fake cheese and the bacon. Way too much salt for me and that fake cheese was revolting for me :( Note to self, NEVER order that if I return. It's a cool, old school dinner type of spot. I was the youngest person in there so not sure if younger folks go there or not. The service was good.
