A lovely view from the bar, albeit a cloudy day. 2.14.24

L O C A T I O N !! Wow, what a gem of a restaurant, Bar, and Marina. The new owners/managers are doing a fantastic job. The menu was just interesting enough, but not overly done. Unfortunately, like many other restaurants in this area, there are No Quesadillas! Darn it. Of the many items I ordered over the last two months, I was never disappointed, Always fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Also, the daily specials are incredible! Happy Hour deals are unbelievable! The service all depends on which server you get. Some are experienced and some aren't. However, in the bar, the current bartender is Bartender Extraordinaire. If you are in Port Isabel, run, don't walk, to White Sands. C L E A N

One of our must-go-to places while we're visiting SPI. We had lunch on a Thursday & we both enjoyed our meals. The seasonings were perfect on both of our fish. He had the fried fish with fries & I had the broiled fish with steamed broccoli and coleslaw. We were greeted as we walked in & our order was taken promptly. The view of the bay was just beautiful on the sunny day we were there. Freshly made food with great prices.

Beer battered trout, grilled, blackened, planks, and bread crumb. Sorry the coconut shrimp are all gone:)

Awesome place. We have been twice since we came down, have a blueberry margarita, have the home made onion rings, take your catch of fish them to cook. A great time was had by all!

Food was excellent and the service was great. The ambience was much better than expected. If you like a water view with great food and service, this is a must do. We really enjoyed and will be back.

5 stars (for the island -- probably 4.5 anywhere else)…read more Just very solid, affordable seafood. As you walk in, the front is sort of a grocery store -- coolers and frozen food, shelves with salsas and sauces, drink coolers you can grab from, and a fresh fish cooler. So if you want to come in and buy fresh fish, or pick shrimp or fish out of the cooler to have them cook for you, that's the kind of thing they're doing. The seating area is large with big tables, so there was plenty of room even though it was pretty full at lunch. We came in with a family of six and were seated right away. It did start getting busy as we were leaving, with some people waiting for a table, so you probably want to come early. Grilled fish, shrimp & oyster platter, $15.50 -- everything on the plate was good. And I want to highlight the coleslaw -- super good, some of the better coleslaw you're going to have. Crab fingers (pound order), ~$31 -- very good, and probably one of the better ways to eat crab since they're already shelled for you. You're just picking and eating. One note: this is a no-frills place. You're not getting fancy silverware or fine dining -- everything's served on paper plates with plastic utensils and paper napkins. It's just a place you go to eat fresh food and not worry about the rest. In general, nothing our party had was bad. Everything was pretty solid and very affordable. Definitely a place to stop in for lunch and give a try -- bring the whole family, because there's something on the menu for everybody. Would highly recommend, and would return.

The ambiance and vibe inside was relaxing and comforting. It's not a big place, it only has a few tables. We ordered iced tea to drink and got some chips and salsa as appetizers. The salsa tasted homemade and not too spicy, which is good. As main entrees, I ordered the quesadillas. The menu has them as either shrimp or chicken quesadillas, but the owner was gracious enough to make them just with cheese, since I don't eat meat. They came with a side of salad and rice. My husband got the fried shrimp and it came with fries and coleslaw. Both dishes tasted fresh and tasty. It is advertised as a seafood restaurant, but their breakfast menu is more extensive, so we might come back to try their breakfast items. Everything we ordered was good, I'm glad we gave this new restaurant a try. The original location was in Port Isabel and have since moved to Los Fresnos. I'm glad they did. We will certainly be back again and recommend it to friends and family.

There's a long pier you can walk out on to fish, and we usually catch red drum, hardhead catfish, and sometimes even crabs. Most of the time the fish are too small to keep, so we throw them back, but it's still such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It's less about what we catch and more about spending time together. I really appreciate the setup. There are picnic tables and chairs where you can sit and hang out, which makes it easy to spend a few hours comfortably. There's a convenience store stocked with fishing gear, a concession stand (which I still need to try!), and even a fried chicken spot nearby if you want something quick to eat. Plus public restrooms, which is always a huge win when you're out all day. They also have a great restaurant and bar, so whether you're there to fish, grab a bite, or just relax by the water, you really have everything in one place. I've been here more times than I can count, and it's always part of our plans when we head to SPI. It's just the best place to go. Keep in mind that you have to pay for every fishing pole that you bring in. You also have to pay to be a spectator.

We did have to wait a few minutes to be seated, and weren't sure why we weren't given menus. But we saw signs indicating to order at the back counter. It has become one of our favorite places to eat on South Padre Island. One of my favorite things is how genuinely pet-friendly they are. After watching the KRGV Take 5 segment, I loved learning that the new owners were the cooks before taking over the restaurant. You can absolutely tell they know what they're doing. The quality of the food, the consistency, and the atmosphere have all been elevated under the new ownership while still keeping the laid-back island vibe.
