Two things I want to highlight about my visit here on 7/17…read more First, we arrived very late after my sons' performance for the town in 100 degree heat. We were both overheated and hungry. The dining room was closed but, after speaking to the workers and manager, they let us stay and gave us great service. Most restaurants probably would not have accommodate us and we were grateful for the hospitality. Second, the pizza was fantastic. We got a large with half sausage and it looked and tasted like the pizza I grew up on in NJ. I look forward to going back and trying more offerings in the future.

The Lampley Pizza - This one really stood out. Made with tomato sauce, a signature blend of freshly grated pecorino, ricotta, smoked gouda, thick-cut bacon, and finished with hot honey. Great structure, well-balanced slices, and a strong cheese profile. The topping ratio was spot-on. Overall, quality ingredients and good execution. I had planned to order some slices to try some different pizza varieties, but there was just one or two pizzas in the case, so I ended up ordering a small white pizza. The employee who took my order was very friendly and polite. I was confused about the beverage I ordered, as I am used to fountain drinks and iced tea options. So the only choices here were Pepsi products with a limited selection or bottled water. The restaurant has some tables and a bar that wasn't being used. The front of the kitchen is open to the dining area, so you could watch them toss the dough. Most were getting orders to go, but there seemed to be some mishaps: orders not ready when customers arrived, or orders not found. From what I picked up, it seemed the slips were falling on the floor rather than being put up with the orders to make. When my pizza arrived, I was surprised that it was served with a hole in it. It looked like someone took a bite of it. I've not been served a pizza in that condition before. I'm not sure if it was caused by a finger or just bad cutting. Whatever the reason was, was bad quality control. The pizza tasted fine, and the crust was good. It just seems by now that the kinks should have been worked out, and these mishaps should not be happening. It is sad that the kitchen is rushing the pizza cutting, being careless, and not caring about the presentation. It makes me wonder what else is happening that I can't see. I wouldn't order from here again.
