I purchased my first boat at White Water Marine in 1997 and have been shopping there since then. Recently, I called as I was experiencing an issue with my 60hp mercury and spoke with the service desk who assured me that I would receive a call from Josh the service manager. Josh called me, we discussed the issues and diagnosed a repair over the phone and although couldn't promise that it was a permanent repair, he said it wouldn't ruin my weekend of boating. To me, that's incredible, professional and outstanding service. I have shopped around at other dealers but with service like his, all my boating needs will be at White Water Marine. Took my late 80's 9.9 to them for service . White water marina called and told me the motor was no good , no compression in one cylinder heat scoring on the cylinder ( signs of overheating and spark plug hole stripped I picked the motor up and paid the Marina for service . As a Marine Engine Engineer with over 40 years experience working on various bits of Mechanic equipment I decided to check the engine myself. Yes there was overheating indications on one cylinder ,but I still decided to test the engine myself The engine started on the second pull , I put over a hundred hours on this little engine this year , it never fails to start and has always got me home. Pretty good for an engine with no compression in one cylinder and a striped spark plug hole?? I personally believe they did not proper assess the engines condition charged me a service fee and pushed it out the door. I for one will never darken the the door of this business read more

I don't even know where to start. SHOCKINGLY BAD! I took my outboard in to get it serviced, as I have done there, for many years. They claimed they didn't have a service technician. Huh? They're a Mercury Sales & Service Dealer. Not like the tech is on vacation, or out sick... they simply don't have one at all. And they said all of this without even a hint of apology or even like "we're trying to find someone, shouldn't be too long". As if this wasn't bad enough, then, in the next breath, they claimed they could work on it if it was on a boat (which it wasn't). Totally confused by this nonsensical answer, I tried to get some clarity, but the owner (I think) became belligerent and stepped out from behind the counter in a threatening manner, yelling at me to get out!?! To call it unprofessional would be an understatement. Anyone buying an outboard needs to be aware that they won't be able to get it serviced there. It's probably a condition of their dealership agreement, so I'll be writing to Mercury. Just a terrible business! Stay away! read more
