White Windmill bakery is a cute little coffee shop in Duluth. My husband and I originally came here for our weekend coffee, and ultimately decided that the lunch options were what piqued our interest here. The interior offers a decent amount of seating, and there is also exterior seating. The gal who assisted me at the front was quick to give her opinion on drinks she thought would pair well with my lunch sandwich. The offering of Milk Teas was a huge plus for me! My husband ordered a breakfast croissant while I ordered a turkey pesto sandwich. My order came with a side of pickles and chips. For drinks, my husband got a latte and I got a milk tea. The food was quite tasty and we will be back!

#vegetarian . I stopped by The White Windmill Bakery & Cafe for lunch and was impressed by the space--but the food fell a little short. I ordered the Avocado Open Face Sandwich, which looks fancy, but be aware--it's very bland. It came as a toasted slice of multigrain bread topped with cold, chunky avocado, cold sliced boiled egg, and a sprinkle of arugula. Despite the beautiful presentation, there was no seasoning and no cream cheese, as some descriptions suggest. Just plain and simple. On the bright side, the fruit cup that came with it--fresh strawberries, blueberries, and green grapes--was delicious and refreshing. One heads-up: while Yelp lists the sandwich at $10.99, the in-store price was $13.99 ($14.80 with tax). That's a noticeable difference. The café itself is beautiful--lots of natural light, plenty of seating, and a clean, peaceful environment inside and out. The restrooms were clean, and there's also a nice outdoor area to enjoy. WiFi was the biggest downside--it wasn't working at all, which cut my visit short since I needed internet access. All in all, a gorgeous place to relax, but if you're coming for flavor, you may want to try a different menu item. #WhiteWindmillCafe #AtlantaEats #AvocadoToastReview #CafeVibes #BeautifulButBland #HonestFoodReview

What an amazing spot here in Duluth! So happy to have found this bakery. It's now become our go-to place for the BEST espresso beverages (go-to for Americano & lattes). Their pastries are so fresh and gourmet. Wide variety of options! Everything we've tried has been excellent. Quality + taste is definitely valued here. Cute and comfortable ambience--perfect for coffee dates & studying/working. Friendly staff & quick service for drinks.

GREAT FIND! I love asian cafes and I love to visit different ones in Georgia. I will usually sit down for about an hour or two to study and I happened to see that there was a White Windmill in Duluth near me! It was very easy to find and the parking was convenient. The interior is very pretty and they have variety of pastry options as well as more savory sandwich options. We ordered Peach Tea and Java Chip Ice Blended along with a sandwich. Very tasty and I can tell they use fresh vegetables for their sandwiches. The drinks were also very good. The service was also very friendly. The cashier working was super sweet and the manager working was checking all the pastries and such while I was there. Seems very well maintenanced. Bathroom was very clean and well lit as well. I will be back again to study or to socialize with some friends after dinner over desset

Such a cute cafe. They have outdoor seating but we stayed in. The atmosphere was very friendly. They have a variety of drinks and sweet/savory baked goods. I ordered the classic milk tea and a buttercream bread. I didn't use the wifi here but you can work here if you choose. The music is quite loud and there was alot of customers for a Wednesday evening.

This isn't my first time getting Be Banh Mi, but my first time at this location. I ordered to go and picked up via DoorDash. Unfortunately, some choices run out close to the end of the day, but the sandwiches were still good. This particular location has also sugarcane juice and you can get it without flavorings. I had ordered a bunch of options and ultimately, this place is ok to me. Don't get me wrong, their ingredients are fresh for sure, but the flavors were just ok to me. Some sandwiches were surprisingly spicy because of the jalepeno which was no bueno for my kids who are spice virgins. I thought I had ordered non-spicy options. Again, lots of banh mi shops in the area to try. Be Banh Mi was solid.

The more adventurous eaters will go for the bun bo hue because there is a lot more complexity to it. And then you have the banh mi. A marriage of traditional Viet flavors mingled w/ the French flair of the baguette but with Be Banh Mi, there is an additional twist that I think is just ingenious. First off, you will fight for parking so bite the bullet and walk Second the interior. One of the most spacious, under used spaces ever to be used for a sit down/take out banh mi joint. They seat roughly 20 people while the middle section is primarily used to start a line queue. The service. It's the self-service kiosk where you order and they call you by your receipt number so there's no bussing or wait staff. Now for the for banh mi. It's not that it's anything necessarily special. It's a banh mi. Your proto-typical Vietnamese ingredients from grilled pork (what I got!!!) to BBQ pork to crispy pork belly and the works! The ingredients are one in same with any place that specializes in banh mis. What sets this place apart is that they offer the stick version of the traditional banh mi. Yes!!!! The stick version. Banh mi is traditionally served in a toasted buttered French baguette loaf that acts like a submarine sandwich open hot dog bun style then all the ingredients are shoved in the opening then wrapped up for you to open and enjoy. The stick version however is a long, thin, yet equally buttery, flaky, soft bun but it's almost a foot long and thin but they don't skimp on the flavors of the banh mi! That's what makes this place so interesting and worth visiting time and time again. Plus the price is so affordable for a banh mi. The traditional banh mi's run you at $6 per sandwich. The stick version runs you at $5. Between the two versions, you're looking at roughly a $12-$14 with tax. It's such a fantastic deal for something as filling as banh mi can be and between the two versions of banh mi, you will be satisfied! Highly recommend for a good banh mi!

To get to the bar, you need to walk through the lobby of the ice rink, around the back, and up the stairs. It's dark and not very big. The menu selection is typical sports bar food - sandwiches, burgers, and wings. All of the food is very cheap. You can get a burger for about $6-8 with a large patty, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. There are classic variations of your standard burger, such as mushroom and Swiss and Texas BBQ. If you want fries or another side, you have to pay a little bit extra. From a taste standpoint, I would rate this as an average burger. Great size, okay taste. Also, I'll have to admit that I'm not the biggest hockey fan. Add a star if you like watching hockey - it is a chill place to go watch a hockey game. If you're hungry after you've gone ice skating, it's also a decent place to grab a snack.

People used to come here to watch the Thrashers practice, but these days it's just fun to hang out and watch the amateurs and socialize. The food here is basic fare for the most part, but they do have some nice pasta entrees and the burgers are awesome. A friendly wait staff helps a lot and they (somehow) always manage to remember what your like and keep your orders straight. If you like wings, try the Mediyaki wings or chicken fingers - they're quite tasty! It's not a large place, but it's comfortable and they do a pretty good lunch business as well as feeding hungry players after each of the hockey games during the evening. They have a good selection of beers and liquor and if you're looking for some good basic eats at affordable prices, check them out.
