Not as expected the chicken was not tasty at all and it tastedlike was cooked a day before or more.

I visited this sweet sub shop for lunch on a weekday for the first time and I was blown away! My family and I ordered three sandwiches--Chicken Milano, Chicken Salad on a Croissant, and Buffalo Wrap. Y'all. These were amazing. The portions sizes are insane. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish! Every ingredient is freshly made and you can taste that freshness. This has to be the best chicken salad I've ever had. I also bought the chocolate chip cookie and it's bigger than my hand and tastes delicious. The restaurant is quiet and feels warm and welcome. The food was served directly to us and the owner is very kind and friendly! I will definitely be returning for another epic meal, especially that Chicken Milano! read more

I really like this place. I like how the menu offers a huge variety of items including subs, wraps, salads, soups. The cafe is nice and clean- plenty of tables and perfect to grab lunch with friends or coworkers. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I tried their buffalo chicken wrap which comes with potato salad, dill pickle, drink (combo). Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The owner came around to ask if I'm doing okay. Shows he cares. Was in the area for work and wanted something lighter, healthier and fairly quick for lunch and found this place. The reviews from previous yelpers got me here and I'm so glad I came. I got the turkey, bacon, avocado spinach wrap, pasta salad and an enormous amazing salted caramel cookie (so much for being healthy/worth it though!) Food was fresh, tasted amazing and well portioned. Facility is clean, cozy and feels homey. The staff were amazing and (who I believe may be an owner) was so thoughtful and kind. I got my food to go, but ate half at the restaurant and he was so nice to come check on me, offer me a tray so I didn't have to eat out of the container and was just genuinely so kind. Rising Roll was very prompt with an online order I placed right at opening, which is always appreciated. The chicken salad sandwich was fresh and filling, I was surprised that it comes on a croissant as a standard so please be aware of that when ordering (my oversight). One thing I'd prefer for the cost of the sandwich is a side of something included in the order (grapes maybe? Some kettle chips on the side?) to fill the cardboard container and supplement the meal. I think that would be a welcome way to round out a really nice lunch, and wouldn't cost the business much while satisfying the customer. Overall I would come back if I were in the area! read more

This was my first time here. The food was really good, I got a turkey, Brie and apple sandwich and it went really well together. 10/10, I'd eat that sandwich every day. Pasta salad tasted very fresh and I enjoyed it. It's a good place to go to grab a quick bite or to stay and get some work done. It wasn't very busy when I was there, and was quiet enough to allow you yo focus on getting homework done. The service was noticeably very good. The owner was working the register when I came in. Perfect place for lunch with family, friends, coworkers. The menu is expansive. I asked if they had a Ruben sandwich and they said they have a turkey Ruben which I never had before. It wasn't on their menu but I am glad I asked. It was delicious. Normally I take left overs home but with this place I eat everything! I love the logistics too. It's linear. You start at the menu and move along to the display to "check out" the sides then grab a drink then chips and finally at the register you order the food. The flow is much better this way. Love a tooth pick on a sandwich. I ordered the Chicken Salad and Apples sandwich on a French Boule w/ potato salad and a bag of Vicki's salt & Vinegar chips. No drink. The bread was so fresh and delicious. Nice crusty exterior and soft interior. Why did I think this was a sushi spot? Anywho, if you're looking for a quick wrap and are in the Lawrenceville area, this is the spot for you!!! Although the lunch rush was a bit chaotic, and the wait was kind of long. The food was delicious and the service was great. In the midst of chaos the staff remained calm and pleasant. The manager wasn't afraid to jump in and help execute orders, clean tables and greet guest. Here's how ordering works: There's a rail that outlines the path you should take to order. Step to the display cooler and order your wrap and side, move around grab a drink and go to the register. This is where getting service becomes chaotic; some people aren't getting a drink so they just go to the register, while others are getting a fountain beverage or bag of chips. While you may be concerned that your order may be skipped or cancelled, it will not. You will have to tell your order to the cashier when you get to the front. For a first timer this was confusing and a hassle, because I just ordered and didn't know how their system worked. "Do I get a bag of chips since I got the slaw or just a drink? Are there any chips?" Besides those minor hiccups, the experience was pleasant. Onto the food. My wrap wasn't a hot wrap but it was good. I enjoyed the crunch of the bacon, and the freshness of the turkey and avocado. There wasn't much flavor to the wrap. I found myself wishing there was more sauce in the wrap because I enjoy a basil pesto aioli (or any aioli period) The pickle was amazing! I wish I had 2! The slaw was average. Refreshing but like the sandwich ...lacked flavor. Will I go back? Yesterday three friends and I had lunch at this Rising Roll location (near Sugarloaf Mills). Not only did all of us enjoy our individual sandwiches, but we were very impressed with the service provided by the gentleman who was either the owner or manager. Not only did he check with us a few times to make sure everything was all right, but he was very courteous offering to take away our trash from our table, refill our beverages, and a few other nice touches not usually offered at a "self-serve" restaurant. We were very impressed with his hospitality. I think he offered these courtesies to other guests, as well. We were not the only ones eating there. I have eaten at other Rising Roll restaurants, but I have never had such attentive service. read more

Second time visiting this place ... Rising Roll is a hot lunch spot that sits off North Brown Rd in the Sugarloaf Mills Shopping Complex. There is plenty of parking spots available. Once you walk in, you go to your right to get in the order line. They have a large menu to make it easier to view options. They serve up a decent variety of sandwiches and wraps, so this a great place to fill your sandwich fix. Plenty of seating, and also ledge seating against the windows. I ordered the apple chicken salad sandwich and side pasta, with a drink and pickle. It came with bacon and blue cheese on it, and honestly flavor was a little lacking for the chicken salad part. I wouldn't recommend it, but the pasta salad was really good and it was a ton of food to fill me up. The apple, bacon and blue cheese saved this. I think they should try jazzing up the actual chicken salad some. My last visit, I had a different sandwich and it was really good. Problem is, it's been a few months now and can't recall what it was. One reason why I give this place four stars is because of the service. Everybody is very friendly here, like you are the only person they are seeing that day or as if they are about to win a million dollars by serving you. Very pleasant experience! Also, as I mentioned above, the food portions are plenty. I left feeling I ate way too much (wished I had saved half my sandwich for later). The cost is going to be a bit more than normal, around $10 for a full on meal. However, you can portion it just right and have lunch for the next day. I would certainly recommend dropping by here. You need to go here! There were so many good things on the menu it was hard to choose. We had a delicious buffalo wrap and a hummus chicken and goat cheese wrap! The kids meals were healthy and tasty also...grilled chicken and apple slices. The grilled chicken is marinated overnight and grilled fresh. The owner was so incredibly kind. He said most everything is made fresh. We had a salted caramel cookie made that day that was honestly one of the tastiest cookies I've ever had. It's a self serve restaurant but the owner came by several times to refill our drinks. We were so sad to be going through on our way out of town. While I can appreciate them being busy, which of course is good for business, having a bad attitude is NOT acceptable. The gentleman owner is a delight, always greeted me with a hello and a smile. Their pursuit to fill food delivery orders and meant my order was taking longer than normal. However, when people arrived 10 minutes after me and received their food first and all I got was a BAD attitude from the owner, I assume wife, I knew my time had come to an end in coming to Rising Roll. Rising to the occasion is this stellar sandwich shop. it is located in a mini plaza right in front of Sugarloaf Mills Mall (or Discover Mills for you old timers like me). There is ample parking. The interior is super clean. The seating area is ample, but kinda compact. You immediately walk in and see a large menu. After making your choice, you can walk up to the counter and order your food. The sandwiches are made on fresh baked bread, with a few sides, such as potato salad, pasta salad, and more. I don't think any choice here will disappoint. The counter also has a few baked goods, such as brownies, brookies, and cookies. As an avid chocolate chip cookie fan, I must say this is one of the best cookies I've ever had.
