The building itself reminded me of church camp - the room didn't have bunkbeds but it wouldn't be surprising if they did ;) The location neighboring the fancier skiing resorts (walking distance) was lovely for the views, trails and mini stores. Unfortunately, the thing that didn't make us love C'mon Inn was the lack of COVID safety precautions. The staff was half-heartedly wearing masks (some did / some did not), and none of the other guests we encountered were wearing masks. We thoroughly sanitized our own room but it didn't feel that this was a top priority for this hotel as it wasn't communicated. Overall, it got the job done but it's too bad they aren't taking the pandemic more seriously for their guests' safety.

Honestly, this was the nicest place we stayed during our vacation out west, and we would love to come back for a week. The cabin was well-provisioned with everything you need, including a fridge, microwave, and TV/DVD (in case it rains?). The cabin was clean and very comfortable, and even romantic. The only drawback for us was that the weather was extremely unseasonably warm, and it took the log cabin a long time to cool down at night (it was in the high 90s and there is no AC). But the ceiling fan did help. Breakfast was delicious. The owner was very friendly and happy to give advice about things to see and do both inside and outside of the park. And the grounds are immaculate. If you want a nice place to stay where you can avoid the noise and crowds, I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at the deluxe chalet for the second and last time this year. Here we go with the tough lesson that took us a second time to learn. The place LOOKS nice all-around. Your first clue that upkeep is not a priority is the second step on the stairs as you walk to the office to check in. It's split almost in half, making getting up the stairs a little dicey. Further on to the deluxe chalet, past lots of nice landscaping, paint is peeling everywhere, and wooden railings seem ideal for splinters. Inside the deluxe chalet, first impressions are nice. It LOOKS attractive. For the second year, the left sink in the full bath linked a LOT on the floor, making it virtually unusable. Though we shared the second sink, the fact that this wasn't fixed from last year seems to speak to the lack of concern for upkeep. There's daily maid service, but it seems to be a minimum. They make the beds, pick up used towels, and empty trash (usually), but they may rely too heavily on the Roomba. The wood floors never seemed clean, to the point where I noticed after walking around barefoot for a while inside, the water under my feet turned black briefly after I started my shower. If you want to sit and relax after a long day at the park, there's satellite TV, but navigating the menus is a mess (probably more DishTV's fault) and the smart TV features on all TVs were maddening to figure out, and never worked once you DID figure them out (partially Vizio's bad design). The wireless internet was reasonable, but note there are two routers with two different passwords. Because why make things simple? The bedrooms LOOK nice (seeing a trend?) but the beds are hard, and the pillows are only a slight step up from the ones airlines used to offer. If you need neck support, you might want to bring your own. Last, there's the overall struggle to be comfortable with the temperature. There's NO air conditioning, so if the outside temp breaks 80, good luck cooling down before nightfall, especially with poor indoor air circulation, even with a ceiling fan in the living room and one in one of the two bedrooms. The afternoon sun BAKES the sun room, and the rest of the time it matches the outdoor temperature, so it might as well be an open-air room. We finally learned the hard way that the premium cost for the deluxe chalet was not worth it for the not-at-all premium and uncomfortable experience. Hopefully this review can save you money, discomfort, and disappointment.

Brian (part of the staff) greeted us on Day 1, and he was there just about all of the time. He was extremely, extremely helpful. And extremely, extremely nice. Service like this goes a long way. Some special notes which made this place way, way above your typical hotel stay (as compared to mainstream brands like Hilton or Marriot).. The room(s) were impeccable with detail. Everything from the chairs outside of the rooms, the towels, folding the beds/pillows etc... You could tell they put a custom touch on. The breakfast was nothing short of delicious staring with the coffee, which was excellent quality coffee. Not farmer bros or max house, this stuff was top tier. (I am a coffee snob and do strictly pour overs only at home). Breakfast burritos were delicious. And the huckleberry jam and bread was excellent. You get a REAL breakfast here. This is such a cool place to stay if you're visiting Whitefish. I was in town to attend a…read moreconference and didn't book the conference rate in time, so I searched around town and found The Duck Inn. I'm really glad I did. Our room had a balcony river view so we could sit outside and drink the free coffee, watching the wildlife along the river (deer every night including a fawn! and I even saw beavers building a dam one day! plus ducks!). They even serve up a homecooked breakfast every morning (tasty quiche varieties and the best waffles you'll ever have - recommend selecting the bananas/chocolate chips/nuts option). The inn will even let you check out bear spray at the front desk for when you head into Glacier National Park. The only small thing I'd change - there are signs in the room that you can hang on your door that say "service please," and we tried doing that for a few days without success before asking for service at the front desk. If you're staying for a week, make sure to stop by the front desk and ask for someone to clean the room a few times, since it's not automatic.

Everything was meticulously maintained and clean and organized. The beds were very comfortable and it was really quiet. We went a little crazy in the gift shop because Brooke, the proprietor, purchased such cute things! We stayed in the crescent moon cabin across from the horses pasture which was very peaceful to watch. The small ponds, fountains, how the grounds are lit up at night makes it even more Magical.
