Beautiful property with amazing views. We did not stay at the rooms, but we did go to the tiki bar at the back. There was complementary free car parking across the road, even if you were not staying at the hotel. It is the lot with the hotel extension.. The property is based on a lake with so many activities like kayaking etc . There is a gated pool area for people who are staying at the lodge itself. If I was to return, I definitely would possibly stay here as it is close to lots of different trails and amenities and access to the lake which is absolutely stunning and is a must do. The weather was not the best when we went so we couldn't enjoy much outdoors .. but would love to visit and stay at this property ! 100% recommend read more

Money trap with terrible service. We booked the nicest room, but no one cleaned it during our two-day stay, and the staff never picked up our room-service plates despite promising to do so. The invoice included $22.32 Montana Lodging & Use Tax, $8.37 Whitefish Resort Tax, $2.79 Community Support Fund, and $2.79 for an Averill Foundation contribution--both listed as optional, but we were never asked--and a $33.48 resort service fee supposedly for "hot chocolate, shuttle, live music in the lounge, TV and hot tub" when I asked about it. These feel like nickel-and-dime Vegas-style charges. It's disappointing for such a potentially nice place; they seem focused on money, not guests. Even a lobby art plaque misspelled "Breaking" as "Braking." You can't make this up. read more

I rarely stay in nice resort lodges, but I thought I'd treat myself since it was only $180 for the Monday night I stayed. PROs: -The grounds and buildings inside and out were wonderfully decorated in the full holiday spirit. -Service was friendly all around. -Room was probably the cheapest available, but still very spacious with a beautiful rustic ambience. -Fireplace, microwave, fridge, coffee, water bottles -Comfy bed -Nice bathroom along with deep soak tub, spacious stand in shower, and nice toiletries. -Free Parking. -Right on the lake, which is probably more amazing during the summer than winter. -Indoor pool and jacuzzi CONs: -Weekend and Holiday rates are probably a lot more than $180/night -Nothing else in walking distance. Not sure if I'll ever be in Whitefish again, but I'd definitely love to stay here again! read more

I have visited the lodge twice for dining. I have not stayed in the hotel. When visiting for lunch, they seem to have a bit of a limited menu however, I was pleased with my selection. The cocktail list was quite short however, I presume they could likely make anything you needed. The patio was expensive and very nice. we opted to sit inside because it was a bit warm the day we visited. Overall, our lunch visit was great. We returned a couple days later for dinner. I felt that the prices were quite high, and again they had a limited menu. The number one thing that stood out for us though, the gluten-free bread option that they had was the best I've ever had! I did not actually believe that it was gluten-free bread and I had to ask the waitress to bring me the packaging or some sort of proof to ensure that I was not exposing my son to some thing hazardous to his health. She was very nice and accommodating. The table thought that it was some of the best bread they had ever had and we enjoyed our appetizers. The staff was very accommodating and very nice. Despite a bit of a unnecessary escalated cost I did feel that our entire party enjoyed our meal. I just wish there were more fresh seafood options in the Montana area. Finally, I do want to speak about the gift shop in the lobby of the lodge. This was by far my favorite shop in all of the big Fork whitefish area. The lady working there was very nice. Answered all of our touristy questions. And I just found myself loving so many of the different items they had curated for this small but well stocked shop. read more

This is for the condos Amenities of champagne daily, hot fresh cookies, s'mores kits (I didn't to test this out) shuttle to/from the mountains and the village ski storage all too notch. Trails and concierge to arrange excursions plus a full service spa. The lodge is rustic, homey and everything you'd expect a Montana lodge to be! We heard those in the main lodge were very happy with their guest rooms. Our 2 bedroom condo looked over the lake- gorgeous. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly ever need. Not available, standard TV - no football, no NYE ball drop, very odd... Downfall - food, just not a 5 star quality food - we had 2 hosted events and daily breakfast, service was stellar, food quality for what you got, not so much. Propane grill for those who want to make a nice steak dinner and fireworks for NYE! There was supposed to be a party, but the band No showed and no party. Deck was under construction and everything was always wet, so no apres, by the lake outside the boathouse. If the price is right scoop up this gem. read more

For the money, this is a destination to avoid. Where at a $500+a night resort when you ask for a dinner reservation at the restaurant and you're told they are booked - for all the nights we are there - really? Oh, but you can get food in our longe. Ordered the menu quoted small Cesar salad with added shrimp - $8+ &12, reasonable enough. Well, no. My wife paid while I went to the loo - because her mom - whose birthday 82 we were celebrating needed to get back to her room. I just reviewed the bill - my $8 salad was $20 and the shrimp was &13... really ? I was just hung up on after being transferred 3 times to attempt to rectify. I don't expect this level of indifference or is it incompetence - at motel 6... avoid - epic fail. read more

The Good: They have beautiful views & a nice property, with good variety of room types to choose from. We had a balcony overlooking the lake. The room was very large but had a lot of wasted space in the entry and kitchenette. I had a massage and it was great & the people working in the spa were very nice. The Not So Good: We wanted a King but had to go w/ 2 doubles instead to get the view we wanted. Hubs is 6'4 so that isn't optimal. Our built-in mini fridge apparently wasn't functioning properly so they had a tacky looking extra mini fridge sittingbon floor in front of sink area. The coffee maker was like one you see in lower end hotels. It was cheap & flimsy. The bathroom was a good size but the shower was tiny & claustrophobic. I hardly had any room to properly shave my legs & nothing to put my foot on, so just had to bend over awkwardly. For this level of hotel i expected better. Also horrible design for temperature controls on water. The bathroom did have a double vanity but nowhere to really store toiletries. Also, it would have been nice to have an extra towel rack to hang wet towels & swimsuits. Our view of the lake was good but we couldn't really enjoy the balcony because we were direclty over the main deck where lots of people were always hanging out giving us zero privacy. Service overall was rather "meh" for this level of hotel. Food was hit or miss. One night it was meh, another night it was good. Also, they missed the boat on the elevator situation. Terrible tiny elevators. They should have had a nice grand starcase to 2nd floor but only had ugly functional closed off stair ways. Overall I am not sure I would stay here again. For the $$$ we spent, we have had much better experiences elsewhere. It was overall an ok experience but not great. read more

It was our second time staying at The Lodge. It's always great. The rooms are very cozy and they take great care of guests.

We had our wedding at The Lodge and it was simply perfect. Jamie was a dream to work with and it was clear she deeply cared about us having a perfect day. She went out of her way to ensure our needs were met and that we felt supported, heard in our requests, and accommodated. The service during our stay was truly some of the best we have ever had. The food we ate was delicious each time. The spa was wonderful. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience and will be counting down the seconds until we get to return. We had a very disappointing experience at the Lodge for our wedding. Despite the beautiful setting, we faced many issues that impacted our day. To start with, we had several missing packages that we had sent to the venue and were reported as delivered but never found. This forced us to scramble and replace items on the morning of our wedding. Lack of communication from the vendor's coordinator led us to have last minute changes to our seating chart, and we were left rushing to order a new one. Our florist's chandelier florals were delivered and never set up by the venue. This was never communicated to us, and we were the ones to bring this up the day after the wedding, where the venue responded with "the florals were too heavy and we were unable to hang them". At no point did the coordinator bring up weight limits or restrictions with this. We paid for these florals because we had seen them in other couple's pictures at the lodge. The power went out due to a storm that was passing by and the venue had no backup plan, no generator. If it weren't for our band having brought a second generator I am unsure of what the rest of our wedding day would've looked like. Due to loss of power and the venue having no way to keep their cooler cold, our ice cream dessert station was completely melted and no one was able to enjoy it. The lodge wedding coordinator had made no plan for us to sign our marriage license during our wedding day as she had requested a timeline from our photographer and never compiled a timeline of her own. In the end, the marriage license ended up getting lost in the Stateroom of the lodge and we were forced to extend our stay in Montana to obtain a new marriage license. Perhaps this day would've gone smoother if we had hired an outside wedding coordinator, or maybe if the lodge had an actual backup plan in place in case of extreme weather. read more

After five minutes, we were told that they do not open for 25 minutes. Others arrived and told the same thing. Makes no sense to me why they would turn people away. The Lodge at whitefish lake, you broke my heart. I'm giving you 4 stars because I know what you're capable of and hope that you'll return to that 5 star service, but this last visit most certainly didn't reflect that. I came back with expectations set by fond memories from the past, but you let me down. I remembered the warmth from the crackling wood fireplaces, the incredibly creamy, best hot chocolate ever, and the friendly service. The fireplaces are now empty burning only gas, with only the blowing sound of the gas coming out of the vents. The hot chocolate is now a watery powder mixture, a far cry from what it once was. Some of the the staff was friendly, but the most acted as though they simply didn't want to be bothered. Instead of staying in the lodge this time, we stayed in a condo. I do not recommend. I could have gotten past the outdated 90's decor, extremely small shower, and bathroom fan that rattled and shook the walls like a jet taking off. What I couldn't get past, though, was the constant rumbling and banging from the construction, heard of elephants, or professional cloggers that were staying above us. This went on through all hours of the day and night. Ugh. Also, it was a bit frustrating that daily cleaning/trash removal wasn't available in the condo. However, they were able to schedule "mandatory IT work" that needed to be completed during our stay. We weren't notified about this when we made the reservation, or at check in. We received a voicemail the day before the work was to be completed, and had to work our schedule around their visit. My visit to the spa was certainly a unique one. Now bare with me because I know these are Princess problems, but when you're paying for a service, you have certain expectations. I arrived 15 minutes before my services. The door was locked, and the lights were off. I was handed a clipboard and guided to a sitting area to wait. There weren't any robes available so I had to change in the massage room and was required to keep my mask on during the entire massage. Have you ever worn a mask while laying in a face cradle? It feels a lot like suffocation. When my massage was over, I was given a tattered towel wrap to wear, gathered up my clothes, boots, coat, hat, and purse, and awkwardly shuffled in my bare feet to the facial room. Thankfully, they allowed me to remove my mask during my facial. I should also mention that the spa is not providing any services over 50 minutes. Again, princess problems, but if I'm paying the same price, I expect the same service. Outstanding service from Kaitlin with the pre arrival team, Kathleen & McKenna in the Boat Club, and Taylor at the spa. Y'all were the shining stars during our stay, making our experience more enjoyable. read more

5 star prices, 1 star motel cleanliness. Stayed in the "luxury residences". The place was very nice in terms of its bones, but was filthy. I mean I've stayed in motels that were cleaner. Within a few minutes of entering the residence I stepped on something sticky. When I went to clean it up figuring it was just a missed spot, I came up with a bunch of food waste and human hair on the paper towel that was black after just a few passes (see pic). That caused me to look around further and I found food waste and other people's hair in numerous areas throughout the home, including sheets and bathroom and kitchen. Looks like no one bothered to vacuum let alone mop or sanitize. Forget about covid 19 precautions, they don't even do basic sanitation! Some commonly touched surfaces had other people's crust on it. I went around trying to sanitize commonly touched areas since my mother is vulnerable and again it looked like no one had bothered to even get a wet towel on things like faucets, light switches, door handles, etc. I called the front desk to tell them I was very unhappy and they said they could send a house manager over but had no cleaners on staff at the hour. The house manager showed up 50 minutes later and I told him that my kids needed to go to bed (it was already 9 PM). We made arrangements for a full cleaning the next day at 10:30 AM. I then called the front desk to confirm those arrangements. The next day we vacated the residence and I again went to the front desk to confirm 10:30 AM. We came back at 3:15 PM from a day close to the hotel but without the convenience of our room and guess what? No cleaning.... Eventually they sent someone who gave it a 15 minute "deep clean". Have you ever seen 2900 sq ft cleaned in 15 minutes? Again maybe that is their covid 19 "enhanced cleaning," maybe the usual cleaning is 5 min? That's right, $1500+ a night, 2900 sq ft "luxury" house and you don't even get a vacuumed room free from sticky things on the floor and other people's hair and food waste around the apartment and you get one 15 min cleaning of the place before check in. I would never stay here again and certainly you should not feel safe here during a pandemic unless you clean it yourself first. Pictures attached. read more

For such a lovely hotel and magnificent location, the spa was a terrible disappointment. Our party of 6 hoped to enjoy our spa services along with the wonderful amenities: sauna by the lake, jacuzzi, steam room, etc. Every single amenity was closed for repairs. While massive equipment failures can happen, it would have helped if we were forewarned by the staff when they called to confirm our rez. I was able to have a hot shower but spotted a used bandaid on the shower floor, so I wondered how often the space is cleaned. My body scrub was decent but cut short by 10 minutes with no explanation. I added on a scalp massage for an extra $25 but altogether my service only lasted total of 45 minutes. Ladies in my group said the facials and massages were excellent. Be forewarned that the restrooms are outside the spa, down a hallway where hotel guests will see you if you're in a robe or towel. Awkward. I write this review because I think the spa can go from subpar to outstanding with some attention and improvements to amenities and services. read more

Took my daughter to have High Tea there in December. Was so excited to surprise her with this. She comes to visit from Chicago every Christmas. When I visit her in Chicago she always takes me to High Tea at the wonderful hotel The Drake. Well, I was so disappointed. The food was mediocre and you only had one serving of it. I had never been there before, so it was a big surprise that we would only get the one serving. The tea kept coming and I guess that was to fill us up. Other High Teas I have been to are not stingy with their food. The waiter comes around and ask what else you would like. Oh, and when we left to leave. I missed seeing the elevated platform which was full of customers sitting and eating and tripped and fell down. One Person came up to help me up. The waiter who was our server also came to help. Since then I have had pain throughout the side of my body I fell on. I would take that platform out before someone kills themselves. read more

Go to Check in and they gave us the furthest room from water views, it was actually across the street. No offer of discount, no free kayak rentals.they offered to give us a water room at 500 dollars more for our last night, a Wednesday. This place may sound nice but it's not. I do not recommend this place at all. Update: finally got someone who listened to us and actually received a sincere apology and an offer to upgrade. The upgrade was WAY more than they needed to do, we would've been happy w a 10% off your meal. Anything to acknowledge there was a problem rather than ignoring us when we checked in and voiced our issues. I'm updating to 4 stars for the front desk person who finally listened, offered and apology, and got the right people involved. Empathy matters. read more

Let's reflect on my rather disappointing experience at The Lodge at Whitefish. I pre-wrote this out and its apparently too long for Yelp, so I'll break it down by the day. Let's get started. I called about a month out from my check-in date and spoke to a really nice reservations agent. She was honest and spoke well. I had initially called to make a reservation at The Lodge's sister property in town, but they didn't have the room I was looking for, and she subsequently recommended The Lodge instead. She painted a good picture of The Lodge and told me all about its amenities. Ultimately, She told me the rates, which included a lesser rate on Sunday and I booked the room. Before ending my call, I let her know I'd be driving my Tesla and was hoping to use their destination charger. I asked if she could make a note of such in my reservation. She told me she would and mentioned there being two spots in the garage to use. I also asked if she could put a note on the reservation requesting a room at the end of the wing on the first floor. Fast forward to check-in. Wow. It's a beautiful property and the bell staff were super accommodating and friendly. I go to check in and give my information. The front desk agent shows me the folio with the same room rate for three nights. I bring up the mistake and tell her about my conversation with the reservations agent. This doesn't matter though, as she tells me it's the same rate each night. Also, I discover that the hotel isn't offering housekeeping services during our stay. She tells me if I need anything to call housekeeping and they'll drop it by the door. This lack of a very important amenity doesn't include a discounted rate, but I didn't want to go there with the girl. Next we walk to the room. It's in the middle of a wing on the second floor. The request I made wasn't even remotely honored or considered. On top of this, the room is missing coffee, cups, shampoos and soaps, no liner in the trash and the carpet is stained all over. I'm beginning to become embarrassed for The Lodge and second guessing my choice to stay there. After we bring our things in I leave to go park my car. In the garage, I find one of the two EV spots has been filled with construction debris and restaurant tables, blocking the entire spot and a Charger. I park my car somewhere else then go talk to the bellman. He tries to get maintence on his radio for the better part of five minutes, but they don't answer. He feels bad and leaves his post to come see if he can help. We walk down together and he mentions how the hotel is down, "35," workers, who he said were, "immigrants," and this has made them very short staffed for the holiday weekend. Ultimately, the bellman and I clear out the parking spot so I can use a charger. I had to help him move a parking spot full of tables and construction debris. On my way back to the room, I check with the front desk and let them know my room didn't have any coffee or cups or soaps or a trash liner. He assures me this was a mistake and tells me to call housekeeping to get what I need. I go back to the room, call housekeeping and let them know. I tell them I'm gonna head to the pool, but to feel free to come in and leave the stuff where it goes. Now comes the pool scene. Wow. It reminded me of MTV Spring Break in Cancun. See, The Lodge is comprised of a hotel type atmosphere, but it's also equipped with personally owned condos which are also rented out. These can be used by their owners, and also their bratty and entitled kids. The pool has a mix of kids and these twenty something bro's. Those individuals are packed around the bar. In the mix of all this covid scare, these people are packed into an outdoor area like sardines in a can. With this, it's spilling into the pool. So you have a couple of drunk girls on one end of the pool, "mother-f*cking," everything and talking loudly about having sex with some new dude, then you have a young couple on the other end where the guy is literally finger-banging his girl in front of kids, but under the water at least. We don't stay long there and decide to go into town for dinner. We get to the room, mind you about two hours after we had left it, and the housekeeper still hasn't arrived with our stuff. We ended up going to dinner and came back to find a bag of soaps and cups sitting on the ground in front of the door. After this nasty start, thing did admittedly get a little smoother along the way, but they never got good. They most certainly never got to the point of it being worth the price paid to stay there. It seems as I get older that the saying, "You get what you pay for," becomes less and less true and my stay at The Lodge was certainly proof of that. read more

We came here for my daughters wedding . From the outset the place looks nice but once inside you can see how outdated it is . Lots of chipped paint on the walls. Old furniture etc. the management is terrible, they are short staffed. My daughter hired the event staff and tried to communicate with them 3 days prior it wasn't until the day before and a push from me that she was finally contacted. Truly unacceptable for a bride. Terrible place and way overpriced. It is far from the west entrance to Glacier National Park about 40 minutes The pool and hot tub is dirty. It is loud at night because they have events. The facility is very budget. The food is also over priced and mediocre. They market the hotel like there are activities onsite but you have to drive to horseback riding and ziplining, etc. the concierge was not very helpful. The town of Whitefish is not great either. Had a great stay for a fall location. The room was great and we had the outdoor hot tub to ourselves. The indoor pool area was closed for COVID. We got 90 min massages at the spa and their steam room was closed for repairs. Otherwise it a good spa experience. The wine in the lobby every day from 5-6 was okay. There was only one kind (red or white) each night. When we went it was red only, which wasn't favorite. The bartenders steered us to an excellent bottle of wine we enjoyed I the room. Staff was friendly and happy. The valet was quick and much appreciated during our rainy stay! I would recommend and go back. read more

This hotel charged us 1 thousand dollars a night for a room and there were 2 couples. We stayed 2 nights, so already over 4 thousand dollars, before we put the key in the door. If I am paying that kind of money, I expect more than a Motel 6 Hotel and restaurant service! Cleanliness, service, and food!!! 3 crucial things to make hotel guests happy. Rooms were nice. Comfortable and clean. We had a king bed with fireplace and a little kitchen area. The bathroom is decent size , actually pretty large but for being a good size bathroom the showers are really really small. Maybe 3x3 ft. Our room is right next to the outdoor generator which was a huge disappointment. Kind of hard to sit out and enjoy the balcony when all you hear is some loud humming. It happens, I get it; someone has to be near it. When we went down and asked for another room or one comparable they said they'd ck and get back with us. Well they never got back and that's the part where I find poor customer service. Just follow through. If you say you'll call us and let us know either way then do that. Second strike is their room service or I should say lack of. Anything after 9 pm forget it. If you do order plan on subpar gas station type food. When we did order breakfast it was a zoo just to order. Countless answering machine pick ups after the first ring, I would then end up calling the front desk and it was just a bunch of transferring. I finally got my order in. Their French toast and Denver omelet was delicious. 3rd strike was when I called downstairs asking about a fan for the room. She thought she put me on hold but didn't. I overheard her conversation with another person and they had 4 fans. She came back to me and said they'd bring one up. Awesome, I had a nice tip all ready for someone cause that would have made my week. 5 min later I get a call no more fans. Really?!?! I just heard your conversation about the excess ones . So pros....great location, comfy beds, decent size pools, complimentary valet and a great gym. Cons, poor customer service, rooms next to generator= not the best atmosphere on the balcony, small showers, limited room service, poor coffee makers; wish they had a keurig in the room and I could bring my own coffee. Wish they also had the option to sign into your Netflix on their tv. I'm loving that option at hotels lately. read more

We had a great weekend experience! The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and offered a great view of the lake. The fireplace was on the fritz so that was a bit disappointing especially since we got some snow that weekend. The lounge/bar area offered a small food menu, specialty drinks and life entertainment. The restaurant was a bit disappointing. - my husband ordered a New York steak that looked more like a top sirloin than a New York. I had the scallops and they were just underwhelming :( Their spa however didn't disappoint- we both got the 80min relaxing massages and followed with a trip to their steam room - worth every penny! Highly recommend their spa services. The breakfast menu offered a nice variety and was delicious - definitely recommend it! Something that the hotel failed to communicate was the fact that there was a high school prom that weekend - had we known would've booked for another time however there wasn't any excessive parties or noise after 10pm so it worked out well and we had a great weekend at the lodge. read more

My family visited the Boat Club restaurant at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake, MT on August 12. Not only did they not honor my request for outdoor seating, they seated us in a dark corner of a nearly empty dining room (even though they claimed they were so booked they couldn't take us at 6PM, unless we wanted to have an "$800 minimum for a private dining room", so we had to come at 5PM.) The menu is pretentious, not that appealing and silly expensive. We mostly got appetizers, including two small $18.00 elk meatballs, a burger and a dry bone-in pork chop, two kids meals, some really bad french onion soup and a couple of salads. $514.00 (with tip) later, we left feeling we'd been "had" and, me personally, vowing never to return. No one likes being taken advantage of and if that's how they want to play...there are plenty of other, better options in town and in the valley. A VERY disappointing Easter brunch at The Lodge. Food quality and selection were just bad. And our server, while nice and well intentioned, was never around and left us waiting for our check for at least 20 mins. This basically puts the capstone on this place for us after a series of progressively bad experiences/meals. There are MANY better places in town...especially for the $$$. read more

Loved our stay at The Lodge! The spa was awesome. The room was so spacious and with a balcony and a fireplace it was perfect for a winter stay. I am guessing the views are even more spectacular in the summer and spring. Shuttle service to town and to the ski mountain made this a perfect place to stay in Whitefish! read more

I went to Whitefish to visit friends in Montana during the Covid epidemic. At first, things did not go off very smoothly. The staff member checking me in did not really seem to know much about the property, which is fine. I asked her how much it cost to do an upgrade to a lakefront view and she told me it was not possible. (If they don't want more of my money, I'll keep it then) Not a good start. PROS: * The Lobby Is gorgeous and welcoming. It feels very cozy. * Then I entered my room... what a spectacle! It had a tub, a fireplace, plenty of space and a very comfortable bed! I was very satisfied. I paid for the most basic room in the Viking Lodge and it was a great room ! * The lodge offers 2 pools. I still don't know which I liked best. The one outdoors facing the lake or the majestic work of art they did on the indoor pool area. * This hotel has soul. So many details as you walk by it, and things are just pretty and well done. I've stayed in popular chain hotels for way too long. The gym area has amazing equipment and it's fairly big! Unfortunately, i didn't get to use it since it was closed but maybe next time! CONS: The lamps with the chargers in the the room did not work. None of them. Also, obviously not the hotel's fault, but there is no food delivery service available. I had to buy frozen meals at the nearby grocery store to get by. Carpet is past its prime,. I did not try the food at the hotel because I'm one of those annoying vegetable eating people from the west, but a short trip to Kallispel and I was invited with a wide variety of food options. But regardless. I AM DEFINITELY GOING BACK. The state is gorgeous, the people are friendly and this lodge is amazing. Very satisfied and I can't remember last time I felt this good staying somewhere. read more

We had a great extended weekend. Sun, fun, water, mountains and a cool little town to explore. We loved our stay. Honestly, this is such a great place to rest, relax and recover. We made the lodge our jumping-off-point for day-trips into Glacier National Park. It was a great go-between - a middle ground between the rustic nature of Glacier and a luxurious resort. We had a lot of fun swimming in the outdoor (only one day) and indoor pools - as the weather changed and we found ourselves going from summer weather to 40-degrees and raining. We dined in all of the hotel restaurants, and although not fine dining, they offered decent food at decent prices. Most of all we really liked the location - a bit out of Whitefish and a bit out of Glacier. The best of both worlds and tons of really enjoyable experiencing. I highly recommend the hotel and would suggest - unless you plan to spend a lot of time in your room - saving the extra few dollars and not getting a suite. We stayed in both. And with the exception of the extra room and a better view - felt like the non-suite room as just as comfortable and offered everything we needed. read more

Food is great. Service is always a bit slow & could be more attentive. Like the atmosphere.

A wonderfully cozy lodge with everything you'd expect from a high-end hotel but not the stuffy feel of pretentiousness. The staff are friendly and they go out of their way to be helpful. We got tips on a helicopter tour (which was amazing), white water rafting (which is best during the spring melt), and tours through the park. Although there are many great places to eat in town, it's worthwhile to stick around and eat at the restaurant at the Lodge. Great sunset on the deck at the lounge. And the food? What a treat. The elk meatballs alone are worth the trip. They have a full bar and vast selection of beer and wine. We've stayed there 3 times and each time it has been fantastic. We will be back. read more
