My two biggest complaints are: (1) the price to launch a small human powered boat is too high in my opinion. Just go to the Town Park instead. You can park and launch for free, however you cannot park overnight there if you are island camping. My other gripe (2) is that they have a lakeside grill / food truck which is horrendously overpriced! A kebab and a small dry salmon burger were $24 EACH with no real side, unless you count a single leaf of lettuce. Well, I'll never do that again. What a rip off. It's too bad because it's a cool idea and the place looks cute. I guess it's the whole captive audience thing.

On the minus side, it's a heck of a steep hill to get your boat onto the trailer and out of the marina. You're going to need all the possible torque to be successful at driving up the hill. At the top, there was a shady spot that made it easy to get all the day's rubbish and coolers out of the boat so it was ready to transport back to the parking. It would have been nice if they had a dumpster or a trash can up there but they don't. We brought the trash with us instead. Fuel's not cheap, so fill up before you get here. We were excited to try the tube and the water skis that came with the boats. However, we did have an issue with the tube as it was a bit deflated. We ended up taking time to go back to the marina for a replacement which unfortunately also deflated after a couple of rides. So if you're looking for a tubing-forward experience, just something to be aware of. Other than that, we would definitely recommend.

They were very helpful answering my questions promptly and fully. We were looking for a bait and tackle shop in the area and found one but it was closed the day we were renting. The folks at Woodard went out of their way and picked up bait for us the day before we rented so we would have some to fish. The day of the trip they were helpful explaining the layout of the lake giving fishing tips and tips about places to see. We would definitely book with them again.

A private condo above the marina office with our own designated parking spot and entrance. Stephanie the owner was amazing and answered any questions quickly. But they said I can have a credit up till I think Columbus Day. I'm not driving 4 hrs to use a boat in Oct. I said I'll pay the the boat in full if they would extend it for next year They said no. So they actually stole $250. From me I ask if i can spend it on merchandise in the store they said I have to use it for the boat rental Well they just lost a customer
