My girlfriend and I got our dog Jasper trained with WhiteHeart K9 and it has truly changed our lives! Jasper became aggressive suddenly towards our other three dogs in the house and it really began to cause stress and fear. The tension rose in our house and we were scared to let them all interact with one another. Our once sweet and loving dog was unpredictable and it began to cause secondary issues. Trying to gain control of one dog can be challenging enough, let alone four dogs. Terry helped interpret our dogs' behavior constructively and gave us helpful tips on how to restore peace in our home while he separately trained Jasper and reintroduced him back into his 'pack'. We just had our follow up visit with Terry and not only has the training stuck so well, but my girlfriend and I have also gained our sanity back and are no longer living in a chaotic environment. Terry is personable, up front and honest, and the best dog trainer we have ever seen. If he believes he can't help your dog, he will be honest about that. We were going to get one of our dogs trained by Terry, but after our follow up visit and seeing the progress we had made, he felt confident we could do it ourselves. This was unexpected to hear and solidified that money is not his main priority. Very flexible and will work with any busy schedule! Thank you so much WhiteHeart K9, would recommend 100%. (also feels pretty cool walking down the street with your dog off leash)

This is our first dog Terry helped is with. She had aggression issues with other dogs outside of the home. No issues going in public now.

Terry has been SO amazing to our family and dogs. He took our dog with aggression issues towards other dogs and was able to correct her and we have only had 5 issues in over 10 months that she EASILY corrected with just a nick. She kept her personality which I was worried about losing before Terry took her but is so much better behaved. We can take her anywhere now and people love how good she is. Terry just took our 5 month old puppy for training as we are training him to be our son's service dog. I'll be so excited to get him back with the foundations so we can further his training easily at home. We had hit a plateau with him in treat training and needed help to get past the hump and go further. Terry has always been available to answer questions after finishing training and wants our dogs to be as successful as we do. Just make sure to adopt his philosophy with training and dog behavior. It was hard for us to adopt one thought in particular- getting on the couch. We always allow them on the couches. We ended up with battling the dogs getting on the chairs to get to the table and Terry explained the dogs dont see a chair as different than the couch. We are now training to keep them off the couch UNLESS we invite them. My dog in 2 days now understands why she is getting nicked and is currently sitting next to my feet on the floor. She also has not gotten on a chair to the table in over a day. Progress! Thank you so much Terry! We are already missing Buddy but cant wait to get him back and see his progress.

Miracle worker! I adopted a lab puppy at 6 weeks to become my service dog. I love her to pieces but the girl is a handful as are most labs. I expected this but after I got her I became sicker and sicker. I needed a miracle and I got one with Terry! I had tried to train my dog myself with no luck and my last straw was when I brought her to Petsmart to get groomed and she knocked me to the ground and I was covered with bruises. Back-story is that I am extremely ill and I break bones at the drop of a hat. That was the last straw. I came home and went onto Yelp and started to look for a trainer. White Heart K9 had a 5Star rating so I sent Terry a message and met with him the next day. I was so impressed with his professional manner and the way he explained how he would work with my wild child of a puppy. She was only 9 months at the time. The entire time he is talking to us she is acting like a complete brat and he is unfazed. I thought if this guy is not running for this hills then he is the trainer for me. Terry agreed to take on Coco and I crossed my fingers. Well I could not begin to tell you the difference in my Coco! She left this dog who drug me like a rag doll when she was on the leash, would not behave in the house and knew little manners and returned this amazing dog that I could barely recognize! I have taken her for a walk in my neighborhood daily and she is amazing. She stays at my side and does not drag me around. She stops when I stop. Walks when I walk. With or without the leash. This is not the same dog! While she was with Terry I was put on a feeding tube. Terry was wonderful making sure she would not be afraid of the equipment and worked with her extra hard because he wanted to make sure she would not hurt me when she returned. Today I returned to the scene of the crime and went back to Petsmart. If she could go into this place with me without leaving me injured well the Terry she be given a national holiday. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing my girl was today. She was perfect the entire time. I walked her past birds, cats, and other dogs and she stayed in command the entire time. Heck she even weighed herself! Twice! I cannot even begin to praise Terry high enough to match the miracle he worked with Coco. He will forever have my gratitude. Terry truly is the best dog trainer out there! Skip the others and go with Terry you will not be sorry!

Sadly too many stories of dogs unsafe in this man's care. Including the death of one who he did not look after properly. AT Your own risk.

We can hardly get his leash off, he's so eager to see friends. We love the live cameras in the yard and inside the hound lounge. It's so nice to be able to check on our fur baby and see what he is up to! One of the main reasons we love Always Unleashed is not only the live cameras, but they are "always unleashed!" They don't kennel the dogs. They all hang out together outside and inside. All the dogs seem calm because they don't have the pent up anxiety of being in a kennel outside of their home. They aren't barking all the time and agitated. They are hanging together as a group. The outside has a ton of misters and a large pool for the pups. They have lots of room to play. Our dog Booker has made friends with other dogs and it's so fun to see him playing and happy. He was boarded over his birthday this past year and they gave him special treats and extra attention. They sent us pictures and videos. They are currently under renovation, redoing the front office check-in space. It will be nice when it's all completed, but it's been nice they have stayed open during the renovation. This summer our flight was delayed flying home from Chicago and Shea was great letting us pick up Booker a little later. We didn't want to wait another day to see our baby! Another time we were stuck on the 17 in traffic because of an accident coming home from Flagstaff. They understand how important our fur baby is to us! Another time Booker got a hot spot on his paw and they were on the phone with me about it and how I wanted it treated. Then after he was home Shea followed up with me to see how he was doing. Booker always comes home happy and tired. Always Unleashed is a great place for day care or boarding, highly recommend.

I was asked to authorize or decline CPR and an intensive care evaluation. We authorized the evaluation but not CPR. A little while later the vet came to let us know what the evaluation showed and she was so thorough and kind, explained the possible causes of seizures and potential treatment plans. They kept our pup overnight to monitor for more seizures, give her IV fluids, etc. We brought her home today. I have a medical background and I found the care was excellent, appropriate and the communication was great. I received 3 calls from the various vets on duty and each time they were informative and kind. My regular vet had already been notified within about 12 hours of admission and they called to check on us. The only hesitation of have is the cost of services. It seems very expensive. Medication that they provided when we took the pup home cost $62.38 for 30 pills. The price for 120 tabs from Chewy is $25.08. I understand the cost of intensive/ER services is exorbitant in general but $2000 for a 24 hour visit is something that many people can not afford.

My Honest Experience With Pets Best Pet Insurance…read more I don't often write negative reviews, and this one is especially difficult because for many years I truly believed I had found one of the best pet insurance companies available. When I first researched pet insurance, I spent countless hours comparing companies. I wasn't just looking for the lowest monthly premium. I wanted a company with good coverage, fair reimbursement, and--most importantly--one that wouldn't dramatically increase rates simply because my dogs grew older. After all that research, I chose Pets Best. For many years, I was incredibly grateful that I did. They helped cover veterinary care for both of my beloved long-haired Dachshunds. Most importantly, when my youngest girl was suddenly diagnosed with IVDD, the medical bills exceeded $15,000. I honestly don't know what I would have done without insurance. Pets Best helped pay for surgeries, medications, follow-up care, and even helped cover the cost of her wheelchair. Their claims were generally processed within about a month, and for years their customer service was kind and helpful. For all of that, I remain sincerely thankful. Unfortunately, over the last three years, everything changed. When Ella turned eight, her premium increased by roughly 25%. The following year it increased again, so I began making sacrifices just to keep coverage. I raised my deductible from $250 to $500 in an effort to make the policy affordable. This year, I opened my renewal notice and was stunned. Her premium has now doubled, bringing the annual cost to more than $4,000 per year. When I called to ask about lowering the premium by increasing my deductible to $1,000, I discovered something even more troubling. I was told that if I ever wanted to lower that deductible again in the future, it would essentially be treated as starting over with a brand-new policy. That means anything considered pre-existing or chronic could be excluded from coverage--even though Pets Best has insured my dogs continuously since they were puppies. That was heartbreaking to hear. I know Pets Best was originally founded by a veterinarian, and I truly believe it began with a genuine desire to help animals and the people who love them. But somewhere along the way, something seems to have changed. The greatest tragedy is that premiums are increasing the most at exactly the stage of life when our pets are most likely to need medical care. Many families simply cannot absorb increases of this magnitude. No one should have to decide whether they can afford health insurance for themselves or keep insurance for the companion who has been part of their family for years. That isn't a choice anyone should have to make. I haven't yet decided whether I can afford to renew this year, and I honestly don't know what next year's premium might be if I do. That uncertainty is incredibly discouraging after years of loyalty. So, if you're considering pet insurance, my advice is simple: Read every detail of the policy. Ask how premiums have historically increased with age. Ask what happens if you need to adjust your deductible. Don't just compare today's monthly payment--try to understand what your costs may look like when your pet is eight, ten, or twelve years old. Pets Best was there for me when I desperately needed them, and I will always be grateful for that. But I'm equally saddened that the cost of staying insured has become so overwhelming that long-time customers may be priced out just when their pets need coverage the most. I truly hope that one day there will be a pet insurance company whose long-term pricing reflects the same compassion it advertises--one that genuinely puts both animals and the families who love them first.
