For those of us who has older equipment and just want to get things running again they are not the people I had old DS 450 that was in dire need of some tender, loving care, my friend who is the training manager for bombardier recommended that I contact them but what a mistake $1500 later and a lot of rude comments and very unhelpful staff I get the DS back in a very bad state not running handle grips stolen the coolant, cap gone, and everything is in disrepair or loose or unattached. Take a look for yourself at the pictures and see if this is the kind of people you want to deal with. The last time I saw my 4 wheeler it was running and you were going to see if the other motor was a possibility. NOW I RECEIVE IT IN A STATE OF DISREPAIR AFTER WAITING MONTHS TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU. Not a happy camper right now. Just hung up the phone from the service Dept talking to Scott. Very rude and non caring about my wife's sport bike carb issue. I explained to him the man that worked on it had passed away but he didn't care. He said her bike is a 2004 and they don't work on bikes older then 2009. I asked if he could suggest anyone and he said no and when I was about to ask another question he hung up the phone. They have definitely lost our future business. I'll pass them up and go to Georgia instead. read more

Moved here in 1997 and started working with Allen Stutsenberger in sales. I lost count how many sea doos and four wheelers we have bought from them through the years. Always outstanding service and follow through. The whole team is well educated and thorough. Parts and service guys have always been polite with excellent communication, reliable work, and reasonable prices. My latest Sea Doos (2023) going back in to be winterized today. After moving to Chattanooga in 1997 I instantly made my way here to look at a new motorcycle. 20 years later I have bought numerous bikes from them. GSXR1000, Hayabusa (2), Ninja 250, ZX-10R, ZX-6R, ZX12, GSXR600 and a Vulcan 1800. They always have a great selection of new and used bikes but what keeps me coming back is the support I get after the sale. In particular the parts and accessories department is amazing. If you are not aware they have none other than Tim " Record" Holder running the show in the parts department and is a multi record holder in land speed racing. Tim is extremely knowledgable on anything related to street and dirt bike as well as personal watercraft. Though Tim is best known for his exploits on the land speed tracks he has also been involved in Baja racing as well. He has decades of experience even though he is only 35-36 years old as of the time I am writing this review. Tim maintains the parts and accessories department like he does himself and that is in tip top shape. Tim's decades of experience makes any encounter with him a learning experience for the customer. Gerald White the owner and the whole White family run an amazing place with a great service department and a retail showroom that is second to none in the area. If you are looking for a dealership to call home this is the place. Any motorcycle, boat or PWC shopping should start and end at White's Cycle and Marine. read more

Passing through from Chicago, on my way to Barber Vintage Motorcycle Days, Tim in Parts and Craig in Service hooked me up with two new Michelin Pilot Power tires for my 2005 SV650. Roy was the technician and I'm THRILLED with how they handled this experience. Everything was top notch, the shop is well stocked, clean and the staff are very helpful. Helping out traveling motorcyclists is a time honored tradition in motorsports and these guys excelled! As a former service manager for ten years, I know what it takes to do the job right and they did it well. I was in and out of there in in about an hour and a half; even had time to get lunch at nearby Ankar's Hoagie shop (good food!). Anyhow, 1200 miles later, I'm back home and still very happy with the transaction I had with this shop. Highly recommended. SIDE NOTE: There is a Honda shop next door, that when I called them for parts, they said 'we don't work on Suzuki' and referred me to Suzuki in DALTON GEORGIA for service!!!!! They DELIBERATELY failed to mention that there was White's Cycle & Marine Suzuki shop NEXT DOOR, which is just plain bad business on that honda dealership. read more

The service department has provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Called on Wednesday to ask about bringing my jet ski in for service and they told me they didn't have any appointments available for 2 months, then turned around and said if I could bring it in the next day they could squeeze it in. Fast forward to this morning when I am dropping the jet ski off, I walk in and tell them I have an appointment to which the service manager says "we don't have any appointments today". I explained the situation and he says "well no one told me about this". He allowed me to leave the jet ski for the service and took down my info to call me when it was finished. I missed their call around 10:53 and called back 6 minutes later and no one answered. I proceeded to call 10 more times between 11AM and 3:15PM and could not get anyone to answer so I decided to just drive down there, hoping the jet ski was ready (30+ min away). When I arrived, I stood at the service desk for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to check me out, and not a single person would even acknowledge that I was there (salesmen and parts dept saw me standing there). After 15 minutes I finally went and asked someone if there was anyone working the service desk to which he said "uh I don't know, let me go find someone". Finally a mechanic from the back came out so that I could pay and leave. Not sure if this is a staffing issue, management issue, or if they just don't care about customers, but I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a Sea-Doo service. read more

The staff was rude. There were 2 people behind the parts counter and neither would acknowledge me. I stood there for a moment until I saw that they were ignoring me. I then searched the shelves for the parts I needed. I went back to the counter and they ignored me again. I will not go back to White Cycle and Marine. read more

If you want service after the sale avoid White's for sure. Most unprofessional service department I have ever dealt with. Service Manager has terrible people skills. They will give you a price for work but when the work is done you better have more cash because the invoice will be more. read more

have a 2011 Yamaha AR210 jet boat, having engine problems and I was referred to Whites by local boat dealer since they did not work on jet engines. I dropped my boat off on Saturday 8/11. I was told the sooner I get it up there and in line the sooner it will get looked at. Service Mgr - CHRIS SNYDER was who I spoke to on the phone and at the service desk when I dropped my boat off. he told me, and I have a witness that was with me, it would be atleast 3 weeks before they would even get to touch mine, b/c they was so backed up, and already had 1 Yamaha motor tore apart. I told him I appreciated him telling me that up front, but that was fine, it had to be fixed and I didn't mind waiting 3 weeks. so at the first of the 4th week I called back, "service mgr" told me that they still have not got to mine, that the season is coming to an end and they are almost caught up, and if they don't get to it "this week" (4th week) they should definitely be able to pull it in the following week. SOOO on Tuesday, 9/18 I called 9ish am, "service mgr" told me they still have not got to mine, I had 2 in front of mine and they would get to it then. he had no concern in his voice, just like he wanted to get off the phone. I asked him if I could come p/u my boat, he said yes. so I hung up and called back and got the GENERAL MGR on the phone, CHRIS NEWMAN - told him my issue and why I was calling, when I dropped my boat off and what I have been told, he said to let him get w/the mechanic and see what is going on and he would return my call (this was around 10am) never received a call back, I left work, went to p/u my boat, got there around 3ish, "service mgr" seen us walk in and walked off from the service desk, after standing there, he finally walks back over there acting like he didn't see us to begin with. tell him who I was and I needed to p/u my boat. he didn't say sorry, he didn't try to reassure me or try to keep my business, instead he stood there and twirled a rubber band, rolling his eyes and cutting me off w/the answer "ok" when I asked why its been up here over 5wks and not been touched, and when I dropped it off it would be 3weeks before they could even touch it, he said, he did not tell me that, and my witness at the time I dropped boat off, was w/me on the 18th and told him, he in fact did tell me 3weeks. he again said "ok". I then asked for the general mgr, we walk over to the other counter and he is eating, came over to me and told me, he was just about to call me back after he finished eating...I call BS, but whatever! (IM SORRY BUT IF I AM A GENERAL MGR, AND HAVE A COMPLAINT CALL, I SURE WOULD NOT WAIT 4-5HRS TO CALL An UPSET PAYING CUSTOMER BACK!!) I told him my concern was when I dropped boat off I had 1 in front of me, and on the 18th I called and had 2, so how did that happen? and 2nd if that Chris Snyder is the "service mgr" he definitely needs additional training, especially in customer service and attitude and that I did not appreciate being called a liar. he said he was not sure why I was told that but after talking to the mechanic, they could get mine pulled in the next day and get it "looked at" that it was my boat and I could leave it or I could take it. I then said, why did it take me more than 5weeks and leaving work to come up here to get you to tell me that? he again had no answer..... I told him no, I was not leaving my boat with them, especially now. that I have already called and spoke w/another boat mechanic and would be taking it elsewhere. I will never do business with them ever again, and I will not refer anyone to them, I don't know if its because im female that they think they can talk and treat me as if I don't matter or what but that is no way to treat any paying customer!! very very unprofessionall and please think twice and try to find a different mechanic if you can before you even call this place!! read more

I walked in with 3,500 dollars cash looking to buy a bike for my wife, I hunted down a sales man witch happened to be the general manager asked about a bike, got some info then we went looked a the grom she didn't like it so we came back to buy the 125 pro. I finally found the sales man and told him I wanted to buy the bike, he said hold on as he was walking away. I also heard him drop the F bomb as he was walking away. 2nd bad experience at this place. read more

I should have heeded the poor Google reviews, but it is next to impossible to get someone to work on a small outboard these days! I called Whites to see if they could work on my small motor and they said "sure- we can get to it in 2-3 days". I dropped it off on a Saturday morning and, having heard nothing by Weds, called to check on it. I was told that they were "really busy selling boats and hadnt looked at it yet". Ok....... So I called back a week later and got the same story. So today is day 11 with no one even looking at it. Service is clearly not a priority- I was actually told as much! I guess they are looking for that one-time hit with a customer and have no interest in anything but the sale. Take your money elsewhere. I will! read more

After a dreadful error of trading off a new 2012 Kawasaki Z1000 a couple of months earlier, and getting a bike I absolutely hated (A Honda, the last one I'll ever buy), it was time to get back on a Z. I found the exact year and color Z1000 I had before at White's, and despite some bad reviews on google, called them up. They offered me a fair trade on the new bike I had, more fair than anyone else, I'll add, and so I made the trip from northern GA to Chattanooga. I'm glad I did, and I don't get the bad reviews at all. Alan, my salesman, was professional, knowledgeable, and just plain nice to talk to while I waited for my new Z to be prepped. I thought everyone I either dealt with and/or talked to there was great. The whole process was streamlined and very well executed. I had to wait for a long time for the bike to be ready to go, but I understood their reason for the way they prep the new bikes. It was no problem passing time there. These guys came through in a way that NO other dealer did, and I talked to so many to try and get a fair trade, and get a Z again. I talked to a LOT of horrible dealers, people who just don't want to be fair, and then expecting me to drive hours to get ripped off. White's was totally different, and this dealership gets two thumbs way up from me. The bike was prepped well, too. Something that has also not been the case at other dealers. I purchased a 2012 teryx4 new from whites around nov 2012. Price was at least 700 higher than best price I had found but salesman talked into just dealing locally so I would have a local dealer. All of the sales process was great but that's when it went bad. I was out for my second ride and had drove 2 hrs to oliver springs tn to ride when my friend noticed antifreeze dripping under my teryx. I googled and people were saying the clamp was loose where the waterhose connected to the engine. ( this was obviously not checked/inspected before I picked up the Utv). I called my "local dealership" svc dept to see what the easiest was would be to access this hose and tighten it up and all they would tell me is I would have to bring it in!! All I needed to do was tighten a clamp so I called my salesman (think his name was Alan ) and told him my situation so he asked a mechanic and told me exactly what I needed to do to tighten clamp. Without speaking to the salesman I wasn't getting anywhere. I broke a cv 1 1/2 yrs later and took it in to see if my extended warranty would cover it. I also asked them what it consist to check the drive belt and he didn't know, so I asked them to check it and the front brakes. They called me three days later and said it needed brakes and that would cost around 180 +tax and that it would be 170 +tax to check the belt so I told them not to do either one! I bought kawasaki oem pads for 65.00 and they don't look bad to install. They also said they didn't know if warranty would cover the cv joint but if it didn't it would cost me 480 + labor and tax. I let them know that I only wanted them to repair it if it would be covered by the extended warranty. They then shortly called me back and said it wasn't covered because it is a wear item and because it had rust on the axle due to riding in water. He gave me a list of what all isn't covered and so then I asked him what would the extended warranty cover and he said he couldn't think of anything! I called kawasaki to try to cancel my worthless extended warranty but they said it could only be cancelled 2 months after purchased. They then looked into my issue and said they had no record from whites about my broke cv joint. They called whites then called me back and said I needed to take it back for proper evaluation!! I live 50 min from this dealership and will not be towing it back to them but will take it to another dealership and see what happens. I also wanted to buy some front diff fluid for my t4 and went to the parts counter and the guy couldn't tell my what kind of fluid it takes and said I would have to go to svc dept and let them tell me what fluid to buy then come back to him to purchase! What kind of parts counter don't know what parts/fluids go in your vehicle?? I will never be go to this dealership again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you wanna pay higher prices for a "local dealer" that doesn't care about there customers!! This was my second and final purchase from this dealership that doesn't know how to properly file a warranty claim or what parts/ fluid go on your vehicle without me having to go to service desk to ask them! I wanted to rate them 0 stars but you have to pick one and I guess it's for the salesman who did a great gob and helped me out that time I called him about the loose clamp. read more
