Do not trust the dollar amount they give you! They were slow in the quote given. And changed the quote within 2 weeks by $700-$1k on a $980 pool deck coating job. Just bad business experience. Their minimum is $1500 for job. Our cool decking was $980 (12x14 slab). We agreed to pay $1500 minimum. Within weeks, it was changed to $2500 for us to pay for a 12x14 slab. read more

Our HOA had White's Pools come out today because two of our pool skimmers haven't been functioning since 2017. Josh and Michael showed up as scheduled and worked the issue for almost two hours and were finally able to get a clogged line open. Now all four skimmers work and the return flow of the water has also improved drastically. They were both professional and informed us every step of the way. I would highly recommend them for your pool services. I have been billed yet but I am positive it will be much less than I expected when the process started. read more

We contracted our pool with James white himself. During the design we asked for a 6 foot sheer dissent.. at no time did Mr. White state that this would cause any kind of problems with the distance of the sheer dissent going back to the equipment. From day one we had low pressure at the sheer dissent Kevin, which is White Pools superintendent that handles the subcontractors and the pool build in the field. First thing was said we will need a bigger pump motor. Etc.. Still nothing worked after tearing apart. Our pool three times in the first year we asked if we could do maybe three sure to sense of 2 foot in size maybe that would help. We were told that one time that Mr. White was losing money on our pool and agreed to split the cost with us . At that time we were trapped between a rock and a hard place with non working water features, which was our main focus of our pool...., We agreed to split the cost for the 3 - 2 foot shear dissents . After they were installed, they work correctly for about a month or two we started having water flow problems again at this point in time I am confused and not being a pool builder. I'm thinking it's something more maybe a plumbing problem or something or who knows. At that point in time was when Kevin and Mr. White stopped responding to our phone calls and text messages I left several messages at the office with no response! . We were told there's nothing else that he could do about the situation. We started having to add water at least every three days to our pool. I was concerned that something was leaking. Tried to reach out to Kevin and Mr. White no response. we use Pinnacle Pool Services for our service. He noted that the pool shouldn't have to have water added that many days in a week if there was a possible leak on the system . He also noted of the plumbing pipes were labeled where the pumps served and that there was no filtration system or independent shut off valves for each sheer dissent. Again, I reached out to James and his company with no response. At this point in time I have nowhere to go, and no one to turn to. So I had to reach out to other pool contractors for a possible solution. Three companies came out, and all three said that the sheer descent was installed incorrectly. Plumbing was not done correctly. Again, there was no way to isolate it and all the plumbing was inside the stone wall. So each time you had to do any work to even one sheer dissent, you would have to rip the whole wall out. I once again reached out to James White with a picture of his sheer dissent and told him that I had three pool contractor said it was plumbed wrong. Mr. White text me back and said it was done correctly. At that time I had no constant pressure to all three water features. I hired a third-party pool contractor to make the corrections. There were leaks on all three water features inside the wall . After $8700 plus dollars later I finally have three sheer dissent that are independent of each other and properly filtered and plan independently of each other with their own shut off valves. All I can state is Mr. White will not stand behind his work, and will not respond to his warranty work so once the pools done, he's done, if you don't know how to correctly install a water feature in a stone wall after this many years in business, you don't need to be in business! read more

I was so impressed with their service and follow up that I knew I had to post my experience. The owner James sent someone out the very next day, and the issue was addressed the same day! I'm writing this review as follow up to my previous one which was during construction. My pool is an Absolute Oasis..that's the only way tk describe it. James White and his team did everything possible to make my experience and final result fabulous.. I was a tough customer because I had an idea of what I wanted, but needed he and his team to help me to accomplish it. I had multiple ideas that needed his expertise to accomplish. And through countless photos between text messages and emails we discussed colors, materials, finishes, even ideas that I saw elsewhere. He always followed up and helped us come to the most predictable outcome. I imagined my backyard witha pool for over 20 years...but I never in my wildest dreams could have dreamt of such a wonderful result. I have multiple features that even knowing that they would be included were all mire spectacular than I imagined. I have waterfall that is like a raging river...it's freaking amazing. There are extra pumps to even aid the water of a second waterfall feature look amazing as well. And the more than 10 light shows thst with everything else is on demand right from the Hayward App from the palm of my hand with my phone. My pool and spa are both heated and the jets in the spa are like actually being at a spa. The "Pool School" tutorial is a great added entity that's more necessary than I realized. There were features nuances that I would have never known were included without it. So in conclusion I'd like to once again thank you guys for Hopefully years of fun and enjoyment. BEWARE!!!!!! Called in April 2020 to get a quote and estimate on new pool. James came out took about 2 weeks for estimate to get back. Approved it, got loan, construction began end of April. Each phase took about a day. But only one phase a week got done so this took an extremely long. time. During this time the dump truck driver RAN OVER our 10 ft gate which is used to the back yard. Was not informed about this. We have dogs and the gate HAS to stayed closed. My precious boxer got out of the broken gate that we discovered. My sweet girl never came back she was hit by a car. This was devastating and could have easily been avoided. That being said we had to fix the gate ourselves to ensure our other precious pup wouldn't have the same thing happen. No compassion or sympathy from Whites Pools. After that the concrete crew came out to spray the pool foundation and used our water hose from our garden. When they were finished draped the hose over the garden fence and did not turn the water off or hook it back up to the watering system. So now we had a flooded and ruined garden we worked so hard on. The water was not discovered until the next morning so it ran all day and night. No compassion or compensation once again. Next thing that happened is when the decking crew came out they hit a power line that was running from the house to the pool house which we informed Kevin the site manger about several times and the decking crew when they came out as well. Line was hit and had to be repaired by us and again no compensation or sympathy. Deck crew also destroyed our new fence that was just put up by pressure washing the deck and all the color sprayed up onto the fence. So now we have a brown stained fence from the decking color that was supposed to be natural wood. Lastly and sill continuing is our deck itself. We ordered stamped concrete to be done. Well this was not added to loan in a timely manner by Whites Pools so now have a separate bill for concrete that will not be paid due to the workmanship and communication and lack of professionalism. Our deck was poured in July 2020 and as soon as it was we reported NUMEROUS boot prints and major imperfections that needed be repaired. I was told they would handle it as well as the spots in the bottom of the pool that are white in color and still had to put a fill valve on the pool Well, September comes and nothing has been done because they are too busy doing other new pools. October comes and I email on October 20th to ask when this will be fixed. Finally, Kevin comes out October 23rd and sees what needs to be fixed and that the deck crew would reach out and have it fixed. He did fix the fill valve while he was there. No word or call from anyone, then the deck lead man comes by no call or text to schedule we just happen to be home. He works for a couple of hours and leaves us with several nice eye sores as he tries to fix the problems. Attached pictures. Well.... No word or call from anyone after that. I emailed the company and called Kevin, and James (owner) on Nov 14th to see what is going on. No answer. Emailed and called AGAIN on November 23rd and was told by office staff Kevin would be out of town until after Thanksgiving. He would get with me then. Well how about the owner of the company call me? Nope...No word again emailed on December 3rd asking if Kevin was still on vacation. He then finally sends a text that deck crew will be out to fix decking. On December 4th. GREAT I THOUGHT!!! Well... nope the deck looks worse than it did before... Pictures attached. Deck still has numerous problems and not sealed properly. It is HIDEOUS and I am not a picky person. No follow up from James or Kevin to see how the job went. Well. Emailed, called, and texted pictures of the job on December 15th (gave it time to settle) to see if there would be any change. NOPE still HIDEOUS. AND STILL NO FOLLOW UP OR CALL from the owner James or Kevin site director. Texted Kevin Dec. 21st and finally got a response that now James was out of town until Jan 4th and he would have to talk it over with him.... Ok so we waited again. Emailed and texted Jan 5th no response, Called office Jan 6,7,8 and got same response they are not in the office I will give them the message to call you. NO CALL AS OF TODAY.... I am beyond upset! DO NOT USE WHITES POOLS. They have HORRIBLE costumer service unless they are benefitting and has left us with this horrendous decking mess, white spots in the pool and still sending the bill for us to pay for it. they lost their ONE pool cleaner and we discovered it when our pool turned green. Turns out it wasn't been serviced in almost 3 weeks and they neglected to tell anyone. they said "We sent an e-mail" but I find it funny how I get every invoice fine but missed this one crucial one. Customer service is downright rude. I have a lot more to say like diagnosing a faulty Tcell and not following up now in over a month for a replacement but it's whatever. I have a new service and they are a joy to deal with so far. read more

No doubt those first 3 reviews in a 6 day span recently are White's employees. I will update with a longer review soon, but in short, I regret hiring White's Pools to do our install. They repeatedly no-call no-showed, fail to return calls, over-promise and under-deliver, and every routine maintenance chore begins with them pointing the finger at the client and haggling over cost. A couple employees are fine folks, but the owner, James White, is just simply a dishonest man. You will see him only on days when he comes to collect a check but don't expect a straight answer or for him to follow through. White's is not THE worst service provider we've ever had, but for the money spent on this pool you should expect at least honest and timely service. Oh, and the pool and equipment has needed alot of repairs too. There are so many better alternatives to White's: I've heard great things about Neptune Pools and good reviews on RCS pools - do your research, ask installers for contacts of their MOST RECENT 5 customers (not their "references"), and avoid White's. read more

I had hired Whies to come out and diagnos my hot tub issue, it would not heat the tub. They cherged $95 and told me it was the heating element and that one of the pumps was bad also, total cost of around $500. We paid them and the work was completed, that evening we went down to see if the tub was heating up and it was not, even smelled a burning smell, so we turned the power off to the tub. I called and left a message for them to call me back, they took about 3 days to do so, after I called them several more times. They sent the technician back out and after a few minutes he brought me a circuit board that was burned up, oddly enough it was burned at the heating element connections, saying we have a bad board and it would not be cheap. I started thinking about everything even questioning him about the board being burned up and him messing with the wiring the last time he was here, to his own admission. He replied saying that the board is old and by putting the new part in this was a weak area. I did not agree so I called to speak with the owner, she said he was not there but she is the GM and could answer any question I had, I explained my discomfort with spending $500 to find that now he has messed up the circuit board by burning it up when putting the heating element in. She conferenceed the techician in on the call and he went through it again now telling me we had bad wiring and that's what caused the failure to the board. If we had bad wiring why has the pool run fine for 10 years? I explained that he was messing around with the wiring while I was down there talking to him on his 1st visit, he even was telling me what each connection was supposed to be doing but according to him they were not doing what they were supposed to, but again I asked it's been doing fine for 10years? They then told me it would be $434 to replace the part, I reluctantly said go ahaed and order it, after abaout a week I never heard from them so I called several times never getting ananswer or a return call so I called the technician and he said he would call me right back, which he did saying the part was in and the GM would call me to set the appointment. She called saying he was two weeks behind now asking if this was OK, I said I guess I don't have a choice. I then reinterated the price quoted and she respnded by saying no, that's not the cost, it will be $676. I said what! She began to explain theat the part was so much and the labor to install it was so much and the service charge for coming out again was another $95. I feel these people are a bunch of crooks and don't have any business working on hot tubs, they do not know what they are doing and have now cost me and my family twice as much money to fix our hot tub as it should have cost and we don't know what other damage they may have caused when he was messing with the wiring. I would not recommend White's Pools to anyone for any service they may perform. Their business card says "Guided by Ethics Driven by Quality" they did not live up to this with me, not even coming close. read more
