I was looking for a very specific tree as a gift for a friend with no luck until I called The Brothers. They had a bare root specimen of the exact tree I was looking for at a GREAT price! This is way more than a greenhouse. It's a very large nursery with a huge selection of indoor plants, gardening supple and tools, as well as a huge variety of landscape plants. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and patient as well as we selected THE tree. Helped us wrap it and load it. I can report that the tree is in the ground at our friend's house, has leafed out and looks great! Give them a look!

The pumpkin walk led us along a small path through a wooded area just behind the parking lot, where over 250 pumpkins were painted/decorated in a variety of themes and displayed for us to enjoy on our meandering walk. We were allowed to take photos and others coming through patiently gave us the space to do so. The staff we briefly interacted with were friendly and so excited to see us all decked out in costumes for this Halloween-inspired walk. They decorated the plants, trees and gourds around the nursery, making for a fun experience all around.

I've stopped into Rodgers Country Nursery quite a few times over the last two years. It's a smaller…read morenursery a bit off the beaten path between Silverdale and Bremerton but they do have a decent selection of fruit trees, shrubs and quality soil amendments so I always make a point of stopping in when driving by just in case something catches my eye. Last season I snagged two large trees (just saplings at the time) in their clearance corner. This year I've stopped in two or three more times shopping for annuals but when a decent supply never seemed to materialize I ended up purchasing elsewhere. That being said I did grab a few new shrubs that I'm quite pleased with so I'm still glad I went. Make sure to ask about their punch card and it's certainly worth a stop if you're in the area.

Not pushy, lots of variety, reasonable prices. Fast forward a few years and over to the Seattle side. I'm a board member for a charitable organization, and every year we hold a largish holiday event for people with disabilities. Two bands, pirates, snacks, Santa Claus, the whole nine, even two trees. Last year I figured out that the people who donate the trees are the very same people whose tree farm we used to go to! They donate every year and even deliver the trees to a location convenient to us! Wonderful people!

They sent some pictures of the plants,but the plants I received were much smaller than expected and two of them were simply one branch with a few needles on the top. They only labeled two of the plants. I was extremely disappointed with the size and lack of fullness os the plants and feel I wasted over $200. I dealt with Heidi and have e-mailed my concerns to her,but so far have had no response from her. I would never purchase from them again unless they are willing to give you the exact height and width of the plants they are sending and send pictures of the plants they are sending-not pictures showing larger plants

The planted areas showcase her very cool, and unusual selections. This little specialty nursery has grown by leaps and bounds in just a few years. If you love hard-to-find and unusual plants, you need to visit Dragonfly. Just budget enough time, because there's a lot to look at. Check the hours, too, as they vary depending on the time of the year it is. Rumor has it they will be carrying a lot of dwarf and smaller evergreens during the 2011 season.

Inside, they have a beautiful Northwest gift shop (where I love almost everything), a delicious gourmet food shop, and an outdoor clothier (in addition to the feed and practical goods of course). We have bought things from all sections and they have been beloved and great quality. We wear their shirts regularly. They have a charming gardening shop as well across the nursery that I'm sure I would love if I was an actual gardener. I bought my husband a concrete cat there once. Lastly, we always start with an Americano or an Italian soda at Carly's. The whole experience is always relaxing and a weekend treat.
