I have had 3 great experiences with Whitney Chevrolet in Montesano, WA! They have fixed my trucks on 3 separate occasions, each time getting the job done faster than I would have gotten the diagnosis completed with their competitors. I will continue to make the trip "down the road to Whitney's" to get my rig repaired, and hopefully replaced in the near future. These vehicles are necessary for the roofing work we do...I can't afford to wait weeks with a broken down truck! At our most vulnerable Whitney took advantage of us with the purchase of a 2016 Ram eco diesel pick up. With cancer treatments we needed a reliable car. We purchased this p/u and it was in the shop 12 times. They sold us a used lemon knowing the laws in Washington are lax. We spoke with the previous owner who owns a construction company in Raymond. He had to have a reliable truck and ended up taking an $8,000 loss trading it for another vehicle. We lost much more and finally decided to cut our losses at about $15,000. I do not recommend them and warn those looking for a new or used car to go elsewhere. Not a reputable dealer. We had a red light on the dash and sensors shutting down the engine when we brought it home from the dealership. Chrysler in Olympia finally got it running long enough to trade it off. Didn't have a good experience and in my opinion they fell below acceptable business standards. I gave them a chance to do right but "management" refused. I was pretty shocked. Really wanted to like this place but ultimately they wasted a bunch of my time and it took 2 days for a 3 hour job. I grant grace when there's a workable solution but this company wasn't even willing to be reasonable. Based on the reviews it sounds like that's their mo. Contacted them about it and they said they would hold for me upon arrival. They contacted with me the day it arrived, let me know the price out the door. Where to begin? The beginning is the best place to start, I suppose! My partner, sister and I had barely begun our adventure when, unexpectedly, Lola (my Mini Cooper) would turn over, yet repeatedly die an instant later. We found ourselves looking around the cute little town of Montesano for repair shops, rental cars, and were crossing our fingers for an Enterprise or something. In the meantime we went to get a coffee and we were lollygagging about, calling the insurance, waiting for two hours for a tow truck, chatting intermittently with the wonderful Saint who went above and beyond to save our trip. Dodiewas (and still is!) amazing! She patiently shepherded us through the process of potentially needing to tow the car, setting up the billing with the insurance, then needing to call the insurance back and cancel the tow because they weren't in network with Geico, Geico didn't have anyone in the area either, could get reimbursed about half of the fee for the tow, when I realized (*finally!*) that Whitneys was right across the street from the coffee shop we were sitting at and we could literally push it there if we wanted to. ‍ doi! We were in the flow of the universe and everything went smoothly after that! She set us up in the perfect little compact SUV to fit our gear, made sure we were safe & comfortable (pandemic and all). It was awesome that they all wore masks, sanitized the vehicle touch points between uses, overall were clean and well kept. Jeff did a great job keeping us in the loop with what was going on, going above and beyond to diagnose an issue he was unfamiliar with; I value integrity and the ability to admit when you're learning something new! (Also, kind of to be expected, there aren't any BMW mechanics in the town, I was kind of aware of what I was potentially getting myself into) all in all, fantastic customer service Honorable mention goes to Scot! I don't know if he worked on my vehicle or not, but we did have a lovely conversation; he seemed authentic, open minded, and genuine. It was apparent we easily could have had differing views, rather than make up his mind about me, he listened to understand, not just to respond. It was a civil discourse of wild variety, and I really appreciated the way he was polite, articulate and nonjudgmental/very understanding. If there's any updates with the repair quality we'll keep you posted! We took our RV into their Detail Shop. We were quoted $600.00 for "2 men, 2 days work". We got it back the morning of the second day and 1 man had washed and waxed it. No price reduction was offered. When we arrived home we had to use a ladder to scrub the rubber trim above the door and windows. Next time we will take it to a RV shop. We give 3 stars because they are friendly, did a basic wash job, and do a great job when servicing our truck. read more

I called Whitney's to get a minor rear passenger floor board leak fixed on my Honda Accord. They informed me that they sub out water leaks repairs to a guy from Tacoma. And the repairs usually run $300 to $500 to FIX. After 2 days, I called to see if the job was completed. The service department said, "our water guy left you a quote of $1300 to fix the leak. The charge for today is $408, no repairs done!" So I paid $408 to be quoted, which was never mentioned during any correspondence with this repair department. read more

Finally an honest service department at a dealership that isn't filled with profit hound service managers. I've lived in the area for 3 years and am not a local. I quickly found that the service department at Whitney's is far superior to five star in Aberdeen or driving to Olympia, which is a lesson I learned the hard way. It also seems like a family friendly business that takes care of their employees which is nice to see. Their employees were kind, honest and respected Covid protocols. My husband and I have bought vehicles through Whitney's a few times now. The first ones were great but this time was absolute hell!!!! I wanted to go from my equinox to an all electric vehicle which Whitney's found in Oregon which I was ecstatic about. My husband and Hawk went back and forth for financing and in the end they didn't get me all the rebates another dealer was able to get me, they didn't even bother calling my bank back after getting us approved through gm financial after we told them that we wanted to go through our bank if possible because my bank told us after we called them directly that Whitney's didn't even bother calling back with a match offer which pissed me off and come to find out it's because Whitney's gets a kick back when they use gm financial. Not only all of that but they jacked my payment almost 200 dollars! After I went in to test drive a car they had there after talking to hawk I felt like somethings fishy was going on so my husband reached out to five star to see what they could do (as a person looking for a vehicle you can shop around and shouldn't get major push back rudely from a dealer) and I got exactly what I wanted 13,500 dollars in rebates my payment went up 2 dollars and I even got financing where I wanted!!! So In the end I was going to go in and talk to hawk and Whitney's the following business day and explain that we ended up going with five star however I didn't get that chance at all! They even apparently went and got the car from Oregon before even hearing from me that I wanted to do this deal. There was no way in hell I was going to pay almost 900 a month for a Chevy bolt car!! The next day I called to see if the finance guy which is also unfortunately the guy that cancels the gap and warranties from previous vehicles could get the paperwork ready for me to cancel my gap and warranty like the lady did last time since I only have a half hour lunch and I wanted to be able to talk to hawk in person but mr finance guy Dale Turner not only was downright hostile and rude he belittled me for not texting and saying I went elsewhere. He also wouldn't answer any questions before I gave him my full name. I have every right to go where I want when I want without being treated the way mr. Turner treated me on the phone. He continued being rude and wouldn't stop even after I told him I would not sit here and listen to him be rude to me so I hung up the phone. Not 30 seconds later I got a voicemail on my phone belittling me even more all because I hung up the phone (did he expect me to stay on and take that b.s.) and continued to call me names on a voicemail which I will be keeping. Ashley I'm not sure what she does there but she was absolutely wonderful when I called back refusing to work with Mr Turner and said she would have everything ready for me on my lunch and all I had to do was stop in and sign! I asked multiple times to talk to a manager and multiple times I was told they were busy but there was a message into Michelle however almost a week later I haven't heard a single word from a manager named Michelle. I was truly trying not to write this review to have this dealt with the manager that way no one else will ever have to go through what I did. I had high hopes for Whitney's Chevrolet, being a small-town family owned business. Two months ago, I came in and purchased a few tires and after 5000 miles one of the tires went flat. I called up asking a few questions on the warranty and less than 5 minutes into the conversation, the tire person, Ron said, "Young man, you need to start being so not smart." Uhm, Excuse me????? Completely caught off guard, I asked for the manager and was told that he was the manager. I hung up, called back, and then spoke with the service manager who was very nice and friendly. Although, I hate to be writing this review on a small town business, that doesn't excuse you for talking to customers like that. It all started with our trip to town for a family's wedding. We RV and had just arrived at an RV Park in Elma, WA. We were pulling our GMC Canyon. It was about 4:00 pm and were unhooking our rig when we discovered that the Canyon had something wrong and would not move! All sorts of thoughts entered our minds. We looked on the Internet and saw the closest dealer was Whitney's in Montesano, WA. The wife called and told them what was going on. Steve said he would have someone out within a couple hours to lift it up and take it to Montesano. Well the driver arrived about 30 minutes later and took our sweet baby into Montesano. Steve had explained that it was probably something to do with the computer module and to be prepared. He said it would be the diagnostic charge of $200 per hour, the repair and the cost of the tow. If they needed parts, it would be the following Monday or later. We knew it needed done and were prepared for the sticker shock. Saturday came and it finally sunk into our thick skulls that we were without a rig to get us to the wedding (not counting a 38-foot coach) and we looked up rental car dealers in the area. Yes, Whitney's was the closest, so we called. The gent who helped us said his "rental lady" was off today but he would call and see if she would come in and help us out. She called me back about 12:30 and said no problem. She would come get us and bring us in to fill out the paperwork. Since we had a rig in the shop, she gave us a super deal on the Equinox she was letting us have while the rig was in the shop. She helped the wife get the walker in the rig and all the necessities out of the Canyon. What wonderful service! Come Monday morning, we called the shop and were elated to find out the rig was ready to go! We were out of towners and we were at their mercy but with the diagnostic fee, repair, rental etc. it was barely $300! We wish service at a dealership was this fine in the Tri-Cities where we are from. read more

Horrible Experience with Mike Parker of Whitneys Chevrolet today. Called about a used car on Friday, and told to wait until cleaned and detailed for photos till Tuesday and to see the car. Multiple emails were sent to me by Mike over the four days. On Tuesday I said I would drive over to see the car. Next I got an email stating someone dropped by and bought car. I was stunned - his treatment was so shabby, didn't tell person who arrived that someone was driving to the dealership and to hold off. Mike Parker operates in a bad faith way and abuses Customers - can not be trusted. He is unprofessional, untrustworthy, abusive and sleazy. Whitney Chevrolet should recognize that he is a reflection of their store and Fire Him, but perhaps management there is also unprofessional and it trickles down to Mike Parker. This is a warning to not do business with Mark Parker, and that he is employed by Whitneys Chevrolet means that management/entire store sets a tone of treating Customers with shocking unprofessionalism, disrespect and abuse. Mike Parker is a self-centered sleazy Liar who can't be trusted. As Whitneys Chevrolet employees him, it can not be trusted, expect them to lie to customers, avoid Whitneys Chevrolet, go elsewhere where they treat Customers respectfully and earn their business. read more

Absolutely fantastic service! I stopped by the lot today and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Clayton Sumrak about a GMC Sierra that I had been drooling over for a couple of months. Shortly after we were in his office starting the paperwork! He was very straightforward, personable, fast and kind. He thoroughly answered all of my questions and worked with me in negotiating a price I felt comfortable spending. Mike Parker went out of his way to have my vehicle detailed and fully fueled before I left the lot. Once in financing, Gary Adkins explained the terms of my loan and went out of his way to ensure that I was taken care of and that my final agreement was exactly what I had expected. There were several options that I could add on to sweeten my deal and Gary explained all of the details thoroughly. At no point did I feel mistreated or taken advantage of! No reviews and they opened in 1922? Horrible! Limped in with a bad wheel bearing on our motor home. They had it apart quick, and then went into limp mode! While spending all day in the show room nothing was going on! No communication no updates, pathetic! If I was the owner I would go through the roof! No body did anything nobody knew anything! I walked back saw the bad bearing and they were going to put it back together with a new bearing and old race! Totally unacceptable! read more
