Get to the line the very person in front of me wanted it too and he told her SOLD OUT. Heartbreaking. The person behind me said they always sell out the evening hours of the specialty flavor. Buckeye is peanut butter custard, I was really looking forward to it! Bummer!!! I know they have some in the case to take home, maybe next time!! They gave me a work around! Music city madness vanilla with no chocolate syrup add double peanut butter. I'm so excited! Also EVERYONE is so friendly, the store is clean and cozy and lines wrap around the building for the drive through and wraps inside as well. These guys are busyyyyyyyyy. This isn't JUST Custard. This creamy, flavorful, incredible consistency (ie not grainy at all), all the way to the bottom. Usually I'm NOT a small size orderer when it comes to iced treats but I feel full and completely satisfied. A bit sad that it's over but glad that it happened! Cannot wait to go back. We came on a busy Saturday night, line moved relatively fast as they were well staffed! Cutest little store with some spaces to sit indoors or outdoors. This is the smoothest, creamiest ice cream I've found in the Nashville area. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The line moves quickly. There's some inside seating but a great park on the block to sit and enjoy. I got the peanut butter cup with peanut butter and chocolate sauce. I love that you can pick what kind of ice cream you want and all the varieties. They even asked if I wanted the toppings mixed in or just on top! I love that option! Will definitely be back. This location has gone down hill over the last couple of months, unfortunately. Around a month ago I got 1 scoop of custard in a waffle cone, and it seemed a little lighter than normal. I didn't think much of it at the time. Tonight, we went back. I ordered one scoop in a waffle cone again and my daughter got a kids scoop in a waffle cone (normally a much smaller portion size.) The guy in the drive through window handed me the cones and I asked him if they got the order correct - one scoop in mine, a kids scoop in the other. The two cones seemed identical to me. He insisted it was correct and added "I know, they look the same". I said "I'm holding them in my hands and they WEIGH the same." The only response I got was "yeah. is there anything else we can do for you tonight?" So, if you want to pay $18 for three waffle cones and get some attitude for free, I strongly recommend Whit's. If that doesn't sound like a great value for your money, try literally anywhere else. *Edit* To reiterate, the entire problem was THE TWO CONES DID NOT CONTAIN DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF CUSTARD. I paid for a kids scoop cone, and a one scoop cone. The one scoop cone had the same amount of custard as the kids scoop cone. And, no, the kids scoop cone didn't have "one scoop" worth of custard in it. The one scoop cone was light, and whatever was "lost in translation," no effort was made to rectify the problem. I do not see how the response from the business owner addresses this in any serious way. read more

Used to be good. Now everytime we go the card machine is down. If we do get ice cream they don't even really add the toppings. "Made fresh daily" is a lie. None of it is fresh whatsoever. They maybe add a powder to a machine daily. Dye is in everything but the staff will tell you it's not until you ask to see the ingredients. "Oh. Yeah. Just a little." It was super busy on this week night but it's smack dab in the middle of an upscale residential community. For as long as the line was, the wait wasn't too bad. This looks like a regional chain but still had a mom & pop vibe. Loved seeing them make the custard right in front of us. Good variety of ways to serve the custard. He proceeded to blame it on being slammed inside, however when we pulled around.... There were maybe 4-5 people inside, so we just left without getting anything. We love Whit's! Our family has been eating here for years & we really enjoy the custard. Me & my son love the banana splits especially!

Something has changed....... This place is going downhill. 4/5 orders have been incorrect. They are being VERY stingy with the toppings, heaven forbid you want hot fudge on top, you will get a tablespoon at best. I've paid extra for extra hot fudge 3 times, and I'm still getting a tiny dollop. 5/5 of my last orders only had mixed toppings on the top 1/3, and the bottom 2/3 of the mix is plain vanilla. (flavor of the week or a mixer). This place used to be GREAT..... but now, it's hit and miss if order will be corrrect, toppings are being rationed, and the hot fudge is being treated like gold, even when ordering and PAYING for extra. I've asked them to put some on bottom and leave room on top, and still they won't give me more than a dollop. We have found a new place we like in Spring Hill, so until Whit's go backs to the way they used to, we will give our business to the places that don't ration toppings or hot fudge. read more
